Finding models?

So, I submitted my profile to [link] the other day and, I got denied. :/ I mean I know I don't have many model shoots but I was hoping at least I might get accepted based on the photos being good quality.

But I guess not. And I have NO clue where to find models. I really hate the world, always a catch 22. You have to have experience to get experience and fuck you if you don't. I guess that's mostly why I am going to college, because otherwise where am I going to find anyone to take me seriously?

So anyway... does anyone know of maybe a deviantart club or group that connects models with photographers and vice versa? I can't seem to find anything but maybe I am looking in the wrong places.

I'm still inactive, and probably will be for some time.

It's hard to say how horrible it is, going back to work for the Army, when you feel like the Army is at fault for a sibling's death.

That's how I feel. I feel disgusted with myself for being a part of this shit. I just want to get out. In fact two therapists told me I should. So I'm going to try.

In the meantime, I am miserable, and constantly, without fail, reminded of how and why my brother died.

And let me tell you, it had NO REASON. Just the Army being... well, the Army. I wont go into that.

I have had a very hard time the past few days. My brother died on Sunday.

I don't want to give away too much info since the press has been bothering us, and I don't want them finding me.

Just please don't "pray" for me. My brother was an atheist and was a great man he would rather you just wish him well in whatever I know he'd be doing now. He was such a smart, wonderful young man. He was 19 and had his entire life set for him. He had so much more to live for, and it was all ended so quickly. What 19 year olds do YOU know that have $5000 in an IRA, get tax returns of $2500, have multiple stocks, and are completely happy and know the exact direction they want to go in life? He was one of the rare ones.

RIP, Adam. I will always love you and miss you. I will think of you every day(and try not to cry, because I know you thought it's silly.)

I've been inactive for a while... it's because I'm not allowed to take pictures on base!! I don't have a car to get off... and don't have any studio type stuff. So I'm stuck. And I haven't been in the mood for drawing.

I've been pretty busy lately. I've been doing exercise twice a day lately(running, push up/sit up, going to the gym etc etc), for around an hour each time. And then i work for about 10 hours inbetween. XD It's rather exhausting.

Well, since I haven't been on DeviantArt much to find new artist to feature... here's an artist that I abslutely love, who posts her stuff off of DA.

Well I finally succumbed to buying a subscribed service. XD Mostly because I want to do features. >:[

I'm feeling rather pissed off today. I still haven't got paid, my room mate moved back in(she was living with her boyfriend for a while, so now I have to deal with living in the same room as someone again. Which I don't do well. The worst part is I'm FORCED to live here. I can't move out.), and my internet is being a piece of shit! :/

I just gotta look on the bright side. I'm getting my Shirou Tachibana soon!!! Holy crap!

Trying to find new subjects

I'm feeling really annoyed with my photos lately. For some reason I guess I thought I would be more satisfied with things after I got a better camera, but it's not like that. I'm even more angry with myself because I find them to be ugly even though I have a camera I know does great things.

I'm trying to find other things to photograph, but where I live.. it's so ugly and I don't have transportation at all, besides walking and theres nothing around. I don't know what to do. I just feel so trapped. Even though people probably make much better work in worse situations.

I want to get into photographing people but I do not like photos of myself and no one would really want to have their photos taken by me. XD So I don't know what to do.

Why is it so hard to like what you do?

In other news, I've been playing a MMORPG called Sword of the New World ~Granado Espada~ lately. It's so pretty and awesome. I think it's meant to be a pay-to-play one but it's free for the US version for some reason. I'm not complainin'! It fits me a lot, because it really doesn't rely on teaming up with other players like most MMORPGs, which I am horrible at, so yay~!

Also, does anyone listen to Rurutia? She is so awesome. Very ethereal... and just... *__* Anyone should check her out if you get the chance.

Ugh, when I look at my gallery, I really hate it! I guess I like the sky pictures, but everything else I hate and I want to scrap it, or delete altogether. But then I'll go back to having nothing and I barely submit anything.

There are so many talented photographers on DA, it makes me realize how bad I am. x__x But I don't know anyone to take pictures of real people... The area I live is not anything to see, so that kind of stuff is out. Only my dolls provide inspiration. And they can't really express anything, it is entirely up to me. .__. And I don't have the money for all of those prop things(I don't really have interest in that type of photography anyway.)

Sighhh... this sucks.

Well, this is my first journal entry here, it seems! Not really good for a first entry, but ah well.

Anyway, I'm feeling terribly emo. ;o; Me and my best friend had a very big fight. It wasn't avoidable at all, but it still hurts. I know it's mostly my fault, but it's been done and I think it's too early to say sorry(Even when I am, very sorry.), because she is probably still very mad. She has a right to be, because I'm a big jerk and lied to her, and then handled the problem very poorly. I feel so guilty that I've been physically ill the past few days(and still am quite a bit.)

I'm such a bad friend. I have always been and will always be. I'm just not good with others feelings. I'm not... empathic(?) at all. I never know how to be gentle, or what is the right thing to say... sigh. .__.

I think I'm just going to play some Ragnarok, even though I don't a fucking clue what I'm doing. Or maybe I'll let my brother play his online games on my computer and play some FFVIII. That will cheer me up, I'm sure.

And an odd thing, no matter how much I think I've grown out of liking Maaya Sakamoto, whenever I listen to her music, it makes me feel better. :3
