Ski trip was a blast. Did you know I snowboard? 8D This year, I pushed myself a little harder and went off a few tiny jumps and got back into doing lame-tastic air-less 360 spins down the hill :3 And the biggest injury I got was a sore neck from when I was playing in the snow without my board and did another faceplant for fun. Amazingly enough, my legs aren't aching at all.

[Monday, December 1, 11:58pm]

Today was a rainy day but it was a good day. I slept til 2 and went to school and glazed 4 out of 10 platters. J-kun came and hung out with me, and it made me feel a bit better. He was having a bit of a bad day so I hope he felt better too after we saw each other. I gave up at 7 and we went to Oakridge and spent some time there until we had to go home at about 8:45. On my way home, I saw something small and shiny on the ground and kicked it around a bit to see what it was. I started to think it was a silver or gold ring, and it sounded pretty heavy from the loud clinking it was making, so I picked it up. Half of it had been squashed, by a car I assumed. Under the cover of my umbrella, in the dim light shining from the street lamps, I could make out a lightly engraved, stylized leaf design on the outside. I took it home and showed my mom, and she was amused as she tried to stick a stick through the ring so it could be straightened out and un-squashed. Now I'm concerned that one of our elderly neighbors has lost his or her silver ring.

It kind of felt like an Oblivion moment. Stealing silver rings from strangers' homes and whatnot.

daBR has long since left my mind, but the concept still hasn't. I really like the characters - Alex, Richard, Sofia, Sakura. I've been thinking about continuing where my daBR entry left off, and making it into some kind of Battle Royale fan-comic. There's just something about the characters that really interests me... Probably the fact that they're very personal, being based on the artists themselves after all-- minus Saku, but she's a really fantastic and unique character anyway. In any case, they're very different from the god-mod cool-mysterious psycho-tragic deliquent-genius cliches that flooded the contest, and that's what makes them so damn special. I was thinking I'd go easy on this, write a chapter here, draw a chapter there, like a relaxing side project. It'd be a nice way to exercise my writing skills too, since after all, I was a writer before I became an artist.

I admit, it's actually 1:34AM right now. My internet's been cut off and I'm too chicken to venture through Ravenholm and fight through headcrab zombies even IF I have cheats on. I should be sleeping, but I'm struck with inspiration - to write, to draw, but my body says otherwise: "be lazy, go to sleep, you dumbass."

It's late and my mind is being set loose again, and these words come to my fingers very freely. While I'm at this, I might as well tell you guys that in reality, I've been feeling very down for the past month. I couldn't do schoolwork, I couldn't draw (hurting hand wasn't helping), I hadn't seen my boyfriend for 3 weeks, and I couldn't even go to school - I missed so many classes and am behind on so much homework. But of course, how do you explain to your disapproving instructors that you're feeling very bummed for some strange reason that even you yourself can't explain the cause of? It couldn't be hormones, since I KNOW it's been normal for two years running. Autumn-fever? Possible, but I don't feel it's a significant factor. Stress? Well let's see. September started out okay, but I accidentally missed an assignment... and it snowballed from there. Things piled up, I missed out on sleep, I had pretty much no time to go into the studios to work on my stuff thanks to being the weekend-worker at the store. Pair that with one cold a month and you get....

Well. I think I was depressed for a while.

Still am. If I try to talk about it with someone I start crying. Even thinking seriously about it makes me start tearing up. At this point, I probably could use a good bawl, but I don't want to spill emo all over my friends' floors. It's hard. I'm being hard on myself. I could barely function at work on Friday. Piano class before my shift was terrible - there's another story to add. It was going badly, and I was getting frustrated again, no big deal right? It's only my own fault since I never practice. Plus the pianos in that place fucking suck. Anyways, I started tearing up, still no big deal.. but then I suddenly started crying hard. My teacher freaked out. I tried to say sorry to him... in between sobs, I guess. All I wanted to do was continue playing piano but he left the room on good intentions to give me some time to calm down. (if you go into 3rd-person view and pick something up, it basically looks like your character's using psychic powers to do it. doesn't touch the item whatsoever.)

Can anyone explain this...?

Last night I was woken up by a horrible pain in my knee. It wasn't my bad knee either, so that makes this even more worrisome. I had apparently been sleeping curled up on my side, and when I got woken up I tried to straighten my leg while staying in that position, but couldn't do it at all. I tried and tried, only to be met with such agonizing hurt... Well eventually I succeeded, but as I laid there it was still hurting, so I flipped over onto my stomach, which for some reason made it stop.

Once I had gotten to school and was in a more conscious state, I checked it over... nothing wrong except a small area on the edge of my kneecap that hurt when I pressed on it with my knuckle.. it was even hard to find multiple times in a row. Walking was all right but if I stood too long it'd start aching... that, together with my still-banged-up bad knee.. well I can stand and walk fine but it's kind of an eyebrow-raiser.

Thinking back, it's possible that this happened because I was probably sleeping with my knee jammed right up against the wall. But. It's still troubling.

31 Things Guys Should Know About Girls

Written by a guy. After years of experience.

1. Whatever you do, don't just show up at their house...they run around in their underwear just like we do.

2. Don't cheat on them. It may seem foolproof, but girls tell each other everything about everything. Trust me, they WILL find out and you will be mud.

3. Beware of every single male relatives and all guy friends. Any of them would kick your butt at the drop of a hat, and a lot of them wouldn't even wait for the damn hat.

4. Never miss an opportunity to tell them they're beautiful.

5. Don't refuse to kiss in front of your friends. If they laugh at you, it's because they're jealous.

6. If they slap you hard, you deserved it.

7. Don't be afraid to touch them if you want to. If they're going out with you in the first place, it's because they like being in your arms.

8. If you don't sleep with them, do not tell your friends that you did.

24. If they complain that something hurts, rub it for them without being asked.

25. Girls are fragile. Even if you're play fighting/wrestling, be very gentle.

26. Memorize their birthdays. You forget her birthday and you're basically screwed for life.
