its the time of year i need to remind myself, and fortify myself with hard liquor, that i DO like my job. really. ah, mall retail. alas, this means less time for fun stuff. like playing with the sumi ink and supplies i picked up. trying to work with more of the black and white mediums, like the charcoal and sumi, seeing as i am mostly colorblind, and it is real embarrassingly to ask the housemate if the colors i am using are right. so far the sumi ink has been fun. there was a lot of Okami doodling a few days ago.

sorry about the lack of attention i have been paying this little corner of dev art. classes and work have me bogged so far down...and a family friend passed away, and then yesterday the reason i am a philosophy major passed away. best professor ever. took 7 classes with the man in my undergrad career, and he wrote me the most beautiful recomendation for grad school ever...i swear it is what got me in. so yeah. things have been busy as hell and depressing as hell. so no posting going on. gomen.

it occurs to me that i am writing far more than i am drawing. this is most likely a result of working weeks straight without days off. i dont have the time to sit down and create anything i would want to share with everyone else. *sigh* well, hopefully there will be time soon to work on some art. i want to paint SO bad....hell, even some sketches would be nice....
