I'm sorry for spamming your inboxes with my pointless journals, but I found four of the cartoons I grew up on as a kid on youtube, and figured some people might find them as great as I did when I was little. (Or maybe some of you guys grew up on them, too??) Anyway, just ignore this if you're disinterested. lol If you're interested, click on the images!

The song in this cartoon is so beautiful! Makes me all teary eyed. ;_;

This one has awesome character designs, and definitely the most underrated cartoon villain. Dude is sick.

This one is one of those Little Audrey cartoons, but it captured my imagination when I was a kid.

I love the background designs in this one! And the story is quite deep for kids. I really love when cartoons tackle mortality. lol

I just realized two of these cartoons are all about food. lol Maybe that's why I'm so obsessed with food and eating as an adult? lol Anyway, if you watched them, I hope you enjoyed them! 8)

_{Thanks to everybody who had some good music suggestions for my last journal. I found some awesome stuff! Either the artists you suggested, or suggested artist offshoots from those guys. So thanks again! (Of course, I always default right back to FotC, or Fiona Apple, or the Decemberists.)

Right now, I'm in the process of getting a new job and stuff, so I'm really busy. x_x I'm working on a commission, an art trade, and trying to finish that last mini trade. I totally said it would be done "in a few days" like, in early Oct. I'm pathetic. It's weird working on so many things at once. At least I have a choice of what to work on at any given moment, I guess? lol I'm so uninspired recently. :T

Quick thing: In my browsing around DA, I recently discovered a link to a really cool oekaki site, so if you oekaki, consider visiting there! Quite a bit of it is in Polish, but english users should be able to get around just fine. (I seem to.) I'm firstfruits over there, too, if you get the urge to see my lame oekakiings. There are some seriously amazing oekaki/DA artists over there, like falk, Janaschi, and KatiBu, so check them out and get yourself a gallery and crap and tell me about it.

I can't remember if I've ever officially featured anyone in my journal! lol So since =temiel has been doing it, I decided it's high time that I should, as well! So, I picked a few of the people who watch me/I watch back who have been particularly supportive to me, whether it's been over the years or just recently. They have offered me advice and encouragement about my art. 8) These guys always give me their thoughts on my stuff, and I really appreciate that. Also, they have wonderful art themselves that I should probably comment more often on! lol Anyway, on with it..

This chick and I have been friends for years now. xD I always show her my work, even in progress! I value her opinion greatly. 8) She gives me advice on my work, and has been so supportive of me in the last several years. She has the most beautiful photography! Her work is meaningful and emotional, yet stylish! I love her post-production work. She's going pro, too! Her work will be on a billboard soon! xD So please give her a visit!

Maya has been a great online friend of mine for a few years now. We aren't always in contact, but I like to think our friendship goes beyond needing to talk very often. xD lol Anyway, she has a surreal/emotional kind of art which I really admire. She's really able to put so much feeling into her stuff, and I love her technique/style. Plus, she draws alot of GLASSES, which I simply adore. So everyone go check her out! And I almost forgot to mention that her art has been featured on a band's CD booklet! 8D Amazing!

Anyway, you can really see the difference between the scale of the figures because in the video, they show the new Mattel prototypes beside the old Jakks versions. Jakks thought everyone was on roids.

I am so pumped. Everyone has their own sculpt and details! I especially love the Jeff Hardy and CM Punk ones. CANTWAIT.

_{I've spent basically all day long today looking through the stock images here at DA for a certain tilt of the male head. I can't find it anywhere. What I'm looking for is a guy looking AWAY from the camera, with the camera positioned slightly to the back of his head. So like, you could say his ear would be closer to the lens than his nose, which would be pointing away. I still wanna see his eye, though, so he can't be facing too far away from the camera. It would also be nice if his neck was extended, with his head on an upward incline. I'd like for it to be showing the left side of his face, although I suppose it doesn't really matter, because if it's the right side, I can just flip it horizontally...

Dah.. Almost every stock image is facing directly or slightly to the side of the camera. Good luck trying to find any images with the person's face turned away... I guess I'll try looking at some of the stock thumbnail art reference sites to see if I can find what I'm looking for, because they usually have a 360 degree view of the same pose... ._.; But if anyone happens to already know of a stock image (yeah, right) like this one, could you send it my way? Insane request, I know. (Or if you perhaps know of a good male stock gallery with a nice variety of angles?)

_{Alright, I was sick of seeing that superlong meme on here. I need a short journal to keep my scrollbar from being so long, so here's a short(ish) story.

I went to the beach and saw an awesome snowy wolf beach towel on the very top part of the wall in this surf store. I couldn't find it on the shelves. I asked a girl about it. She sounded Russian or something. Alot of the people who work in the surf shops down there sound Russian. She said the one on the wall was the last one they had. She got the attention of some short, fit dude and he realized he was gonna have to go get the hook-on-a-pole. He looked really miffed about this and didn't say a single word to me, even though I thanked him profusely. I think he was so pissed because of how short he was and how hard he had to work to get it off the wall. And maybe also because it was like, 9 am and they had just opened.

The moral of the story is, ignore jerks. If you want that snowy wolf beach towel, you're going to have to piss some people off to get it. It might seem impossibly high, and you might have to hassle a Russian girl and pester some short dude to get it for you, but in the end... it's worth it.

So, I got sick of seeing my last journal entry for the past month or two. :/ I've been listening to alot of The Last Shadow Puppets. And I'm wondering if there are any good bands legitimately from the 1960s... The Puppets are a great throwback, but I feel that the music and lyrics are definitely modernized. I'd love to find a few 60s bands that are close. Seems like most of them are kinda hokey, and maybe sing about beaches too often. Hm.

_{So we got a cable to hook the computer up to our tv. We bought a huge hd tv with our tax returns, and I'm really enjoying it. Especially with the 120hz on during wrestling! ouo But you know what this means now... I can see all your deviations IN HD AND HUGE. HAHAHA. In all seriousness, it's a little difficult to read small words on the screen, but images are quite nice, and I can browse from my recliner... So maybe I'll finally get around to checking all 7,745 deviations in my box... *brain shorts out*

Okay, okay... It's really my laziness.. =_=

Also, does this journal skin hurt anyone's eyes? I've had it for a long time now, and I'm considering getting one of the prefab ones, or maybe just changing the colors of this one, so it won't be so eye-searing.

ALL THAT ASIDE... I've been getting the urge to try to start a comic again, though I know myself pretty darn well by now, and I always "start" ideas and never EVER finish them.. ._. Plus, I'm pretty much atrocious at plots/stories. They always sound as though they've been written by a 10 year old girl. So then maybe I should write one about a 10 year old girl.

Man, I've got just under 5,000 deviations in my box. =_= Maybe I watch too many people. *sigh* Either way, I'm working on some stuff, and some traditional artists I've known/met recently have really inspired me to start working on paper again, so I'm going to be dabbling in that, which is weird. :/ But probably good for me, considering the fact that I haven't painted anything traditionally in maybe 2 years or something? My DA account has a birthday today~! Four years old. Started it up on April 14th, 2005. Anyway, just wanted to make a journal entry to commemorate. I've since deleted my very first entries, in an effort to clean up my messy gallery, but here's my oldest deviation that I kept. (Wow, two years after I got the account. lol) Ah, memories. Ya herd right. I'm open for commissions again. I was really stoked last time to have some people that were interested in my stuff to the point where they actually paid for a drawing. Hahaha, I've actually been drawing again. ON PAPER WTF. Yeah, so I'll scan them in later, if they're even worth it. At least for scraps. I'm almost done with my last request sketch, and then I owe Maya some art of her characters, and then I owe somebody else a drawing, so anyway, things are going well, but I need to practice more and stop playing so much Fable II. x_x That game slays. It's terrific. I'm almost done with my "good" character, and I've started my "evil" character already. >D Can't wait to murder people. Actually, I always feel bad when I do evil stuff in that game. >_>; So it might be hard at first, but I'll settle in. *cough*

I'm rambling... Anyway, maybe one of these days I'll actually go through my 2,000 deviations and look at everybody's art again. x_x

Hey guys! How's life treating you all? Everything going well? Life is going surprisingly well for me right now~

I'm starting to finally draw again, and I need to keep going. After I do some more improving, I may consider taking commissions again, but as of right now, I don't think I'm up to snuff. I need to get better at what I do first. I've stagnated for too long.
