bonnie was a beautiful, talented, and simply amazing young lady who died tragically in an accident september 4. her family waited to have the funeral because ike's path was unknown at the time of her death. friends and family gathered today to remember their remarkable bonnie.

on another completely unrelated note, a friend of my daughter's was killed instantly in an accident. though i wasn't close to her, i watched this gawky little girl grow into a beautiful, extraordinary, talented young lady and am heartbroken for her friends and family. she was only 19 years old. the purpose of this note is to remind everyone to be careful on the roads and cherish every moment of life. it's precious and can be taken from us in, literally, an instant.

i don't know about the rest of everybody, but, sadly, i have to work for a living. i dabble in graphic design, web design, and some other stuff, and my primary income is from originating mortgages.

now before anyone goes off on how mortgage brokers are the scum of the earth and the reason our economy is in the pits: i just started originating mortgages earlier this year! i worked for an international developer and luxury home builder for 14 years and the end result was "redundancy" after a merger and a series of layoffs that left me jobless and, therefore, income-less. in my prior job, i oversaw home closings, so none of this is new to me ... i'm just working another side of home closings.

everything happens for a reason, including job loss, and i'm happy to be working with family and spending more time shooting and with my kids. (not at the same time -- they rarely let me shoot them!)

anyway ... in my never-ending quest to put our face out there to anyone that may need a home loan (gosh, that sounds a lot like an advertisement ... sorry), i now have both facebook and myspace profiles.

if anyone wants to "friend" me on either of those sites, i'd love to have the company, and i won't hound you for your mortgage business. that part is just the explanation about why i'm on those mostly-teen-i-think-i-may-be-too-old-to-have-a-myspace web sites.

so ... look me up. say hello. and, of course, call me if you need a mortgage (we lend in 31 states!!)
