You can ignore this, its just a rant.

Okay there are lots of things that suck about being a part time college student. I can't use the gym, I don't get a student card, My grades don't get updated online at midterm, I have to go to school at night and there are a lot of fun events I miss out on. But do I ever complain? nope. I just accept it. But this is the straw that broke the cammel's back:

The school's book store used to sell monthy buss passes at a discounted rate to all Humber students, full or part time. You just have to give them your admit to class fourm to prove your a student there. Just now when I went to get in line to buy a buss pass, one of the people who work there wanted to see my student card. I explained that only full time students get student cards, but I had my admit to class fourm. She sayed that they only give the discounts to students who are not working and are only going to school. She just assumed that I was working because I am going to school part time, and thus I could pay the full price of $109.00.

I told her that no, I'm not working, I am only going to school. Then she sayed "but your part time, you CAN work, she is going full time and she CAN'T work and so she CAN'T AFFORD the full price. Which is why we offer a student discount" (She was referring to a full time student in the line). I was so pissed off I told the sales woman "Well then, I'll go to Shoppers' Drug Mart for the buss pass. YOU JUST LOST A CUSTOMER!" And left. Damn thats so unlike me, I'm normaly quiet and wouldn't have sayed anything...-___-;

But seriusly, this is rediculus! Not only becuse the discount used to be for all Humber students, but the full time student could be working part time. Who sayed that because she goes to school during the day she can't work eavnings and weekends? I am not working at all, just going to school at night! Do I not deserve the student discount too?

LOL my placement is finaly finnished and my night class is over this Tuesday, my "Summer break" starts soon! Placement was a finantial and emotional pain! I spent so much money on props for my acctivities I wouldn't be suprized if it was over $100 and no matter what I did the children wouldn't listen to me! DX It was so stressful, I'm glad it's over and done with! Althogh I have to start job hunting again, I'm going to enjoy the summer! I'm going to draw whenever I get the chance, go swimming, go bike riding, go shopping and of course see movies with my freind . ^^

LOL, I wanted to post a journal entry right after Anime North but I've been so darn busy lately I forgot! XD Well my first Anime Con was so much fun! I only went for the Friday but I might go all three days next year. In the registration line up there was a guy dressed up like Batman. Batman was laughing at another person who dressed up as a "rent-a-minion". XD There were people who dressed up as characters from my fav manga Bleach, their costumes were so good! They even had plushies of themselves on their solders. XD When I got through registration, I found myself in the Artist's ally. At first I thought I was in the dealer's room because I didn't see a sign. XD LOL, Well I bought three book marks and a monkona mondoki (black) phone charm. Then it was on to the Dealers room and boy oh boy was I ever surprized, the place was huuuge! The first booth there was so busy and I can understand why, they were selling inexpensive plushies, hats and manga! I grabbed myself a monkona mondoki (black) plushy for only ten bucks. Then I went on browsing through all the booths. I found a cute Orihime keychain although it was kind of pricy for a keychain (seven bucks). I couldn’t find any good bleach key chains for a lower price that I liked so I ended up buying that one. The funny thing is right after that I found one I liked for only three dollars! XD ahaha, live and learn right? The next things I bought were a nice hand held fan, some juice and some chocolate pocky. While browsing I saw someone who dressed up as Orihime from bleach. Her costume was really good she even had the hairpins, and then I saw some people who dressed up as Grimmjow and Yurichi to name a few. I wonder if they all came as a group? Then I found a stand selling inexpensive kitty hats and headbands. I decided to get a headband; the one I got has black with pink in the ears, and lace on the part of the band in between where the ears are. I wore it for the rest of the con! XD Oh ya! At that stand, while I was buying my headband and I saw someone in an unusual costume. She was dressed up as a cereal box! It was yellow and designed to look like a cheerios box, but it was called "YU-GI-OHs!" and had a drawing of Yami Yugi on the front. XD rotfl I wanted to take a picture but she was gone moments after I bought my headband. Then I found a stand selling first generation Pokemon stuff, they had an eevee plushy that was in good condition and it only cost five dollars! After this I went back to the artists ally and there was a wrestling match going on! XD I decided to sit and watch because my feet hurt from all that walking around, lol it was quite amusing. Then I went to the art gallery that was there and looked to the drawings and such. When I was there one of the Con staff started an announcement saying something around the lines of "People please reframe from touching the art....if your child touches the artwork, they will be added to the collection." XD I couldn't help but laugh at this. After that I went back to the dealers’ room and bought some plushies and manga. I wanted to stay for the rave party, but I couldn't figure out where it was or how to get there, so I decided to go home. On my way back to the buss stop, I saw the party going on, I walked right by it! This is my first journal update in a looong time. Well a lot has happened lately, I haven’t found a job yet but I did get a volunteering position at a daycare. Now I may not get paid, but I get more experience in this work environment, I can put it on my resume and I get to use my "Boss" Rebecca as a reference. But I’m taking some time off now because School is staring up again. I have a night class starting this Tuesday all about kids with special needs. Then I start field practice one or "Placement" on June first. This is when the ECE student is put into a daycare setting and applies what she has learned by making activates and interacting with the children. So In other words I have to plan an activity for the kids (every day) that’s not only fun but teaches them something like pre-math skills and then do some paperwork for it. There is so much paperwork to do; I have to buy a two inch binder just to hold all that info! Okay, now that’s enough of me complaining about school. Anime North is coming up soon, and I plan to go on the Friday. This is going to be my first anime con and I can't wait! 8D I'm going to browse through the dealer's room searching for Manga, Pocky, Plushies, Anime DVDs, Art Books and some of those kitty hats or animal ear headbands. XD (I also want Bleach, Claymore, xxxHolic, Chobits and Pokemon stuff X3). Then it's on to the Artist's Ally, is anyone from DA going to be there? I'll drop by and say Hi. ^^ I’m also going to go out and see night at the museum 2 with the next day. 8D

Hello, people of DA! Lol, well there are three anouncements in this journal entry. First off I want to wish everyone a merry christmass and a happy holiday! I hope you all get whats on your wishlist. The next anouncement is that I have spiffed up my journal. Now its not finnished, but I like it. X3 The last announcement is that I'm not going to be on DA all that often for a while. Its a verry long story but heres the shortened version incase anyone wants to know: I have been "let go" from my part time job, because the owner of the building rather disliked me and used anny little slip up/mistake I made to get me intrubble, so now I am job hunting all over again and don't have time for DA. Lol, I found the problem to my 'broken scanner'. The cord that attached the scanner to he computer fell out of the back of the computer. XD I can now submit my ARIA fan drawing, and will right after this edit. Sorry for the rant a lot of stuff has been braking on me lately including my MP3. D,=


This is a rant don't read if you don't wanna. XD

Those darded scaner monters are at it again. DX Lol. My scanner was working just fine yesterday, but just as I was about to scan two ARIA fan pictures it started acting weird. DX I went into a program that came with the scaner called, "HP image zone" and clicked on the "transfer images from scanner" option but its asking me to select a sorce with nothing to chose from. DX like WTF? I called Hp cutsamer service for help but they charge 35 bux just for me to ask a some one whats wrong! For 35 bux I could buy a new computer program! DX I also looked it up on the web, but I found nothing usefull. I could just hook up my other scanner with another program but I don't know how and the cords are missing! Raaaargh! D8< I'm so pissed and irritated right now that I need to rant. srry. ;;

So sicnce my scanners are busted I won't be submitting any art for a while. =_=
