But, what do I do with all this stuff? I've always thought of myself as pretty artistic, or at least creative, but when I try my hand at scrapbooking I feel... drained. So I was at Barnes & Noble and found a magazine called Craft, which had some cool gift-wrapping ideas in it. Anyway I'm pretty early at getting presents and after seeing that magazine article I got in the mood for wrapping, and I spent today wrapping gifts. I took a ceramics class but I forgot how to do it. So I tried drawing my family crests on a mug cup, which ended up sort of horribly because I forgot that you need 3 coats of paint in order for the solid paint color to show through. Oops. Firstly, I already kind of suck at painting (maybe not because I just suck at it, but because I rarely ever do it so don't really have a good feel or practice for it... and then re-doing the same painting for a total of 3 coats... ouch).
