Not to sound ungrateful, but most of what I got wasn't on my list. The betta fish that was probably chipped in together was a nice thought, but I had my doubts about having a pet, since I pondered a pair of rats for a long time, but again, my job keeps me away for most of the time. Got a new digicam, though I already had one, even though the new one is better. Got a few books, but only one of them was on my list. Also got the usual gift of Life Savers, which I gave to everyone else, not being too keen about them anymore, like most hard candies.

As for what I got for others, I asked around what was on their lists and I did my best to give them what they wanted, not what I speculated they wanted (or needed.) "Do unto others" didn't seem to have the return on my part, mostly.

Then came New Year's Eve. Another day of work and then overtime at the last minute before the standard logout at 5:00 PM caused a long-distance delivery of fifty miles and not getting home until late at night. Came home feeling exhausted, bitter, upset and on the verge of emo... But if this isn't ranting, I don't know what is...

New Year's Eve can kiss my tail.

Sorry, everyone. Got plenty of love for the rest of you, but I don't feel it coming back as much as I wish. Maybe I'm just sounding like a brat. Wish all of you the best of happiness and joy, even if my own is being shot down.

I want to leave this job I have that is hurting me and get away from it all. I want to have someone whom I can call my own... The world is cruel to people with desires like that. I keep going, one step at a time, but I don't see any sunshine coming my way anytime soon.

Maybe I'll feel better later... Right now, I'm just sad...

Perhaps the only good news is that I'm getting my will to draw coming back. Did a inkwork for a friend on Second Life and planning to draw more of some other nice people there, among other things for those I care about.

I rise up every morning around 8:00 AM and prepare for the day. Login to work and do the various assignments until around the 5:00 PM hour and return home, often feeling fatigued, a little sore and oftimes unfulfilled and unaccomplished, especially when overtime strikes (which really sours my mood for the evening.)

I've sought after some love, but at the same time I just wish I could kill off any romantic feelings that would come into my heart for this friend or that friend, though none of them are local. Others have said that one doesn't look for love, it finds you when the time is right.

As for those I care about, they can go their merry ways in happiness, whichever way that is. They can be joyful with their own loved ones, for those who have such... Let the world be a merrier place for all... Even if this one doesn't feel that way. To give up my own happiness so the world can have it... To give all my love for world, even if none of it comes back... To give my all, and not ask for anything in return...

Just, please don't sing the birthday song. It's sung probably a thousand times a day in the world, in enough languages as it is... It's TOO mediocre... But then again, so is my life...

It all starts with the Archie Comics' Sonic the Hedgehog series, our foxy hero Tails. For those who have been keen with the series from the beginning, most are familiar with his first love, that of a pretty girl fox named Fiona whom he met on an island. They shared a very romantic time together, only to have it all crushed with the revelation of Fiona being a robotic duplicate created by the evil Dr. Robotnik to trap Tails. The robo-Fiona rusted over after almost drowing Tails, and despite her attempt to kill him, he wept over her rusted body and left it on the shore.

As time passed, the true Fiona makes her entrance and join the Freedom Fighters, but then it all comes crashing down on Tails when he spies Fiona and Sonic on the dating scene. It turns from bad to worse as Fiona betrays the team to join up with the Evil Sonic, aka Scourge the Hedgehog, and gives a final insult to a heartbroken Tails with a slap to the face.

Reading the betrayal and crying face of Tails really stabbed the heart here. Why must it be so with Tails, of all of heroes, to suffer such a heartache? Sonic and Sally have had a peculiar on and off relationship, whereas soonafter Fiona's departure that Antoine and Bunnie happily tie the knot. But it doesn't heal the wounds that dear Tails suffers for the person he loved.

What can one do? Only hope... Hope for Fiona to turn from the dark side and return to the Freedom Fighters, and especially to Tails. To the writers of the comics, may it be...

Surviving Japanese class, and the swimming class instructor has a slight drill sergeant streak, which is rather annoying (I'm taking the class for exercise and enjoyment, not to become an Olympic athlete, dammit!) Oh well... Gotta stick to the public pools after this...

D&D games with cousins are well-loved, my character going for the exalted class Vassal of Bahamut in due time, plus there's a Star Wars RPG planned, and I already made a VERY gifted Gungan Jedi Guardian for the New Jedi Order scenario as it is planned for. Stats are STR 16, DEX 14, CON 15, INT 16, WIS 14, CHA 13 (Yes, they were rolled with the GM witnessing.)

Drivers who recklessly speed on streets and highways, drivers who don't use their turn signals (especially when there are others around), cheapskates (never appreciate good delivery service), times when the phone keeps ringing and ringing and always demanding the best of delivery time and quality (Aesop would have plenty to say about that), people who play their music so loud everyone can hear it (mostly have this pet peeve for music with a lot of profanity and racist language), and basically all those people who think they such smart@$$es they act all high n' mighty around others.

People think they're so hot these days, it's no wonder the planet is experiencing global warming... People are no longer cool. It's really sad.

Oh well... At least there's these people who are cool and you're all great.
