        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ The local Boston Microsoft store has the Surface Pro on display, and I got a good solid 30+ minutes to play with it.<br /><br />The Pro is definitely thicker than the Surface RT and even the iPad 1, but it's not to the point of feeling unattractive -- if anything it improves handling a little bit because it makes it nearer to the thickness of something like a book. I had no problem gripping the drive in portrait mode one-handed. (Being a widescreen device, it can get a little uncomfortable in landscape mode, but only if gripped from the sides. Tell you what I forgot to do: link all of you to the video of me quickly drawing out the rough base sketch for my latest work, "Monsoon Season"!<br /><br />[ CHECK IT OUT HERE ON MY YOUTUBE ]<br /><br />It's sped up by a fair margin, the sketch took about me about 45 minutes to an hour give or take, [I know the video says "30 minutes" -- that's wrong] and was mostly created with shift-constraints, so a lot of lines will just seem to appear. I sorta took out my frustration on DeviantART because it's the place where I have the largest following, and I feel like it misrepresented me as an artist. I feel like it's really easy to make yourself look like an amazing, successful artist online when you're sorta mostly not in reality. Thought I'd post this here just in case, before I bring this to eBay or something.<br /><br />So I got a huge 156 set of Prismacolor Premiere markers, with those stackable marker stands (enough of them to display all 156.) I bought them back in 2008 near the end of my schooling, (I had an older, mostly-used up set of prismas back then,) buuuut I ended up becoming full-time digital shortly after so they've received little to no use. Yeah, oops.<br /><br />That said, these are slightly used, but there shouldn't be any dead or dirty markers in there. (Small room.) I liked how they kept everything rolling along as she was still being built.<br /><br />BUT I can't help but think as a "what if..." (Spoilers: watch first before reading onward) I was honestly waiting for the wham-line at the end of the film which I felt the writers TOTALLY missed the opportunity to include -- a line where the operator guy says something like "Artificial Intelligence diagnostics check complet ]]></media:text>

My work is very reliant on the technical skill of my line art. This causes my art to be colored like an animation cell, never painted. I fill my colors like flats, then apply shading over that. Never any build-up, the line art always remains in the final. When I do paint, it takes a long time, or I lose interest because it's not coming together as quickly as I'd like.         <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ I've noticed recently that on heavily-used Wacom pens, especially those owned by a complete klutz such as myself, have a tendency to eventually get really short nibs. So short that it can only detect pressure when held completely perpendicular to the screen. At first you think, "Oh, wow I need to change the nib, that is seriously worn down, geez!" And when you change it out for a fresh one, it's JUST as short as before....<br /><br />So what's wrong? To find out, give your pen a back-and-forth shake. Does it sound like the innards of the pen are shifting, rattling back and forth? Press on the eraser tip. Does the tip's length suddenly come back? If so, ]]></media:text>
