Wow, I haven't been updating my journal in nearly a month! It's probably because I had a huge wad of assignments to catch up on and a big test in Psychology. My mom just returned from a week-long trip to visit her youngest brother in Colorado and I missed her a lot (yes, I may be in my twenties, but I still enjoy spending time with my family, especially since they don't boss me around as much). I'm glad she came home in time for a spring break coming up, and hopefully I'll get to do something fun, because I definitely need a break from all that hard work I've accomplished, especially since the weather is supposed to get nicer over the next week.

I was browsing through some YouTube videos when I stumbled across an amazing animation tutorial video-> [link] , and that video was made and posted by none other than the living animation legend Don Bluth himself, so I surprisingly found out that he actually has his own YouTube account, just like Chowder creator C.H. Greenblatt has his own official blog! I thought that tutorial video I found was quite impressive because it reminded me of a Nickelodeon extra I saw of FOP creator Butch Hartman doing an animation tutorial by drawing some frames of a bouncing ball on a set of sticky notes. Pretty amazing, huh? Well, ta-ta for now!

I went with my sis to Genericon '09 yesterday and it was a blast! I went as Rebecca Miyamoto from Pani Poni Dash while my sis went as Edward from Full Metal Alchemist. We unfortunately arrived a couple of hours after the cosplay contest was over, but we still had a good time. Also, since I'm getting quite interested in manga, I even bought the first two volumes of the Fruits Basket Manga and the first two volumes of the Naruto manga at the vendors! I was going to buy some volumes of Death Note, One Piece, and Tokyo Mew Mew while I was there after getting interested in those series as well, but I decided that when I start off a collection of a certain manga series by buying the first volume and the first volumes of the Death Note, One Piece, and Tokyo Mew Mew were unavailable there. Now onto another subject. My Spring Semester in college starts tomorrow and I'm taking English and Psychology. Hopefully I'll do well this semester, because English was one of my weakest subjects in high school, as I considered myself a terrible essay author...ugh.

Well, it's finally 2009. My mom's probably going to be glued to the TV all day because of that Twilight Zone New Year's Marathon they're showing on the Sci-Fi Channel. Well, the Twilight Zone Marathon isn't the only marathon being shown for New Year's. There's also a Looney Tunes Marathon being shown on Cartoon Network for the New Year, and I was pretty stumped at first when I found out that it was going to be on because I found out after seeing this pic by =AndrewDickman ( [link] ) that Looney Tunes got taken off the air a few years ago, probably as a response to reactions from soccermoms. I also surprisingly found out when I saw this pic that Looney Tunes wasn't meant to be for kids in the first place, so I wondered what it would be like if kids started liking Family Guy in the future and it would end up airing as a Saturday morning cartoon. That would be just plain weird, huh? I guess Cartoon Network decided to make a New Year's Resolution by bringing Looney Tunes back after noticing that there were so many viewers that miss it terribly. Hopefully this also doesn't mean that there will be negative bitching from overprotective parents, especially since there are many people out there, especially kids, who are mature enough to handle edgy content. Anyway, hope you all have a great 2009!

Over the Hedge on DVD (despite the fact that people have been bitching negatively about how CGI is taking over the world of animated movies and are in desperate need of bringing 2D back, I did find this movie pretty entertaining.)
Enchanted on DVD (I enjoyed that movie when it came out last year, and I would highly recommend it to the people who miss the old Disney, especially since people have been bitching negatively about how High School Musical, Hannah Montana, and the Jonas Brothers are taking over the world of Disney.)
Fleece sheets for my bed so I can stay warm when I sleep during the winter
Fuzzy socks so my feet can stay warm
ACID Music Studio (I couldn't use GarageBand after finding out that it's exclusively for Macs, but I luckily came across Music Studio when I was at bestbuy.com after finding out that it's available for PCs and it features elements similar to the ones that GarageBand provides.)

My sis and I finally got registered to vote (I was unable to do so as soon as I turned eighteen a couple of years ago because I registered at the wrong location)

I finally got my iPod working again since it was corrupted for a couple of weeks...turns out I had to press the menu and play buttons to get it working again.

I'm going apple picking, which is one of my favorite fall traditions...

Phillip Glasser, who voiced Fievel, one of my all-time favorite charries, because he's obviously one of the cutest charries ever, is turning the big three-0 today!!

I'm feeling gloomy not only because it's been raining all day in my area, but I recently came across a blog in Spanish with a rant about some of the artwork on deviantART with a link to my dA page, along with a complaint about the Lola Bunny fanart I've made in my early dA days -> [link] . The blog was posted about six months before I got rid of all my Lola Bunny fanart as a result of them getting flamed with annoying comments, which caused me to lose interest in her. I wasn't trying to offend anyone with my artwork, because I try as hard as I can not to go too far with my creativity, as I am typically a kind and gentle person. I have never been so astonished in my life until now when I noticed that someone complained about my old pics that I took down in November 2007 because they got flamed. This makes me feel like I've been a bad person and I originally wasn't intended to be that way. My art skills may not have been professional, but I'm glad I've made some improvements on my artwork by adopting some of the sketching techniques that my sister =Psychic-girl uses and I'll try to adopt even more techniques sometime in the future, like shading skills.

I decided to go at an easy pace since I'm often concerned about getting brain cramps, Therefore, I only have two on Mondays and Wednesdays and only one on Friday, so I can pretty much catch up on studying and huge projects on Tuesdays and Thursdays, especially since I'm taking an English course. Well, better get some rest so I can easily survive the productiveness of heading back to college!

*phew* I've been out and about quite a lot today. I had some lunch from Subway, went mini-golfing, and to the movies to see The Dark Knight, which was truly kick-ass entertainment, and Heath Ledger was the best Joker so far, although I did feel deep sorrow his passing that occurred earlier this year. *sniff* Well, I'm just about ready to go sleepies because of all the excitement I've had, and I hope I can do something very special for the Labor Day weekend.

I obviously haven't been making any frequent updates until around Cinco de Mayo, because that was when the school year was over. This may seem weird to you, but I'm not just excited because it's finally another weekend, but today marks the tenth anniversary of when I first saw one of my all-time favorite movies An American Tail, when it premiered on Cartoon Network, which got me into the American Tail fandom, and/or made me become a huge Fievel fangirl! Ironically, I saw Fievel Goes West first when I was little because I have an old VHS copy of that sequel, so like I said, I didn't see the first movie until then, which was on today's date ten years ago! In fact, the way I got interested in seeing the first movie was very similar to how =Spax3 got interested in Sonic as he mentioned in his review for the first Sonic games. It all started when I was ten years old. I was watching Cartoon Network one time when I saw a promo for that movie, which announced that is was going to premiere on the network. I noticed a familiar character who looked a lot cuter than the way he was when I first saw him, so I was like, "OMG...it's Fievel, and he looks sooo cute like that! I wanna see him and his incredible cuteness when it all> started! After seeing that movie, I started to love it with all my heart and soul, but ended up hating Fievel Goes West with a burning passion partially because I thought that his cuteness ended up being replaced with a more "bad-to-the-bone" appearance, which to me seemed ridiculous. Oddly enough, my sister =Psychic-girl likes that movie better, but I my opinions toward it recently changed by thinking that it was fairly decent for the comical moments it had, so I now respect my sister's opinions. However, I still like the first movie more because I personally thought that Fievel looked a lot cuter in it, and I thought I'd like to express how I got into the American Tail fandom, as well as a Fievel fangirl by expressing how it happened in honor of that moment's tenth anniversary.

Yup...I'm super-excited today because not only did I just turn twenty today, but Sonic just turned seventeen, and sharing Sonic's birthday is one reason why I'm a huge fan of him! I do dislike the company for what they do with anime, but I'm not that much into Internet drama, although I'll have do deal with the drama continuing until 4kids is finally dead, since that's obviously what otakus are wishing for. Anyway, since it's my birthday (and Sonic's of course), I decided to have a new journal CSS in honor of that special event. Well, gotta go. Well, I'm finally done with finals, so that means I finally get to post some new stuff here on dA! Looks like spring fever is making me become quite an art freak, which is pretty much making me feel better from suffering those winter downs. Well, see ya later!

Sorry I haven't updated in nearly a month, but I'm gonna have to be VERY busy next week since it's the last week of my academic year at community college before finals, and I REALLY hope I succeed, because I also have a class project to catch up on. Speaking of which, the good news is that one of my community college buddies, ~GSRobotCan, decided to watch me because he thought it was nice to see me here on dA, and I decided to watch him back because I do enjoy some of his artwork. Also, I have relatives from Colorado visiting this weekend, so I really hope we can do something fun together!

Finally, after almost a long month of playing through the treacherous Subspace Emissary, I finally unlocked Sonic, one of my favorite icons who I got excited over when he was confirmed for the Brawl! I thought that it would be WAYYY too hard to get through that Great Maze until I finally figured out how to exit when I saw a mysterious glowing portal open like the light at the end of the tunnel! And playing as Sonic is super awesome because since Sonic is so fast, clearing the stages in the classic mode must be super fast! Well, gotta go. Still gotta get back to Brawlin' with Sonic's awesomeness!

Yup, it's official. Spring Break for my college is over, so I guess I'll have to get back to being more studious than creative. I've recently been trying as hard as I could to unlock Sonic in Brawl, but I'm stuck in the Great Maze level and that really sucks big time! Well, hope I can get my work done successfully so I can look forward to another great weekend!

It's finally Spring Break for my community college, which means that spring has probably begun early for me. Unfortunately, although I mentioned in my previous entry that I might've been improving my college work, I probably realized that I didn't do so well on some of my work, mostly because of how hard it is to focus and get back into the swing of things after the long holiday break. Luckily, I might've improved a bit recently and hopefully, I'll continue to do so once I return from Spring Break. Also, Brawl will finally come out tomorrow and I'll be really excited about it since my loving sis, =Psychic-girl showed me that Sonic officially joined the brawl back in October, so I'm pretty sure I'll have fun playing as Sonic! I was recently in a tizzy when I was concerned about Sonic fans screaming and bitching about Jason Griffith continuously like a nonstop broken record. I was even shocked to find out that he was being very grouchy to =Spaction3, or Spax, a very famous Sonic fan who I randomly met on dA in the fall when he asked Jason about his Sonic role via MySpace. Luckily, I finally got the courage to stand up to Jason by sending him a message myself regarding my concerns, and here's what he said:

"I actually care very much about Sonic and the responsibilities that come with voicing him. It's a wonderful experience and I work with some of the greatest people on earth. In response to being grouchy, I'm not really sure how that started. Rest assured, I'm not as mean as all that. Cause that would just be...mean."

I let out a big sigh of relief when I read the response because I was a bit nervous when I was about to send the message. I'm definitely glad he didn't treat me the way he treated Spax. Jason may not sound exactly like Ryan when he voices Sonic, but I like Ryan too, because his Sonic voice is like music to my ears and I definitely admire him for being a multitalented person. Also, although Spax has every right to hate Griffith with a passion, I will respect his opinions, but I am pretty grateful for how famous Spax has become via Internet, so I might consider him an "Internet celebrity."

I'm also feeling better because I was able to get some college projects done that I've been putting aside for quite a while because I was busy with my concerns about people complaining about Jason Griffith over the past few years and I'm glad I finally got to address my concerns about him and he responded to me pleasantly! I've also made some improvements with my college work and I must've been really proud of myself for doing so...along with standing up to a guy who has often been teased for how he voices one of my favorite icons!

*sigh* Well, at least this means I finally get to sit back and relieve myself from my worries, and keep up the good work in college for the spring semsester. Peace out, fellow deviants!

I'm at my uncle's for the weekend to celebrate his birthday! YAYS!! I haven't been there since I celebrated my high school graduation, obviously because of college keeping me busy...and that really sucks! Anyway, I'm glad I get to spend a fun weekend with my relatives!

Sorry I haven't updated my journal in quite a while, but I'll be heading back to college on Monday so I probably won't be making any more frequent updates like I did recently, but at least I've improved my performance so far in college and in my art skills here on dA, so I'll try to wish myself luck at keeping up the good work!
