How did you join DA?-
Well i saw ~scrillzbee's art on Youtube, and wanted to see more ^^ so i signed up on DeviantArt C:

Where do you live?-
I live in South Jordan Utah, in the US (but i wont tell you the rest of my address silly )

How did you come up with all your characters designs?-
well, i like to base all my cats off of real life ones C: so believe it or not, all of my cats are real breeds ^^
most of the time ill tell you what breed it is in the ref sheet, so you can look at what they really look like there ^^

Whats your favorite out of your characters and why?
id have to say that my character Blu is my fav <33 Its probably because ive always wanted a cat like him, and egyptian mau.
they're just so beautiful and curious XD
i want one 8D

anyway....

How long does it take you to do your pictures?
well it depends on the picture. For my simple picture with no background its about 2 hours at the least XD
but those really complicated ones with one of my signature backgrounds, phew, those things can take up to 14 hours! but they're usually about 4 hours at the least :3
what can i say, im a perfectionist.

you guys are going to make one or more of my characters halloween-ized! (which can mean totally halloweenized, like a skull and such, or just in a halloween costume ^^) you can also put your characters in there if you'd like! ^_^
OR
you could come up with a whole new halloween character! -cat is prefered-

Rules-
-only 2 entries max per person
-doesnt matter which medium (traditional, computer, photomanip, ect.)
-you must halloween-ize at least one of my characters, but you can do others in the picture too ^^

kindly put an explaination on what costume it has, or what it is (like a skull for a head, or whatever, just so i know what it is) tho you dont have to if you dont want to, but it would be appreciated ^^

(sorry, look for stuff on my contest below first a quick update, skip if you wish)

aaaaaaah, i hate rubber bands, for braces that is. THEY. FREAKIN. KILL. ever wanted to know what it feels like to not be able to open your mouth? yea. it sucks. i have to wear them 24/7 except when im eating, and they hurt ssooooooooo much... >.< but if i stay faithful to them ill only have to wear them for 3 months (hopefully) my ears hurt, i have a headache, and i took foods this year, and since they're such a pain to take off, and they hurt 10 times worse when you do, i can't really eat anything we cook, oh and lunch is a no too. :C hopefully ill get used to them, and the pain wont be as excruciating every time :C

(and now to the real reason for this journal) ah, it seems i have forgotten about my own contest its a good thing someone reminded me xD

more good news. my tablet isn't workin

haha just thought id update since my last journal was on the 8th

well my birthday on here was so awesome! thanku guys for all the love <33 tis much appreciated, you guys are awesome C:

haha i got some acrylic paints and some super sculpty clay from my sister, and my dad might be taking me over to the store to get some prismacolor markers <33

besides that no presents tho i got my sister a hugenormous fan for her bday, which was on the 18th, using my bday money from my grandpa it was awesome looking ahha

im so exiced to see alice in wonderland, it looks amazing! plus im glad they're not redoing to movie, just making a continuation C: i wouldn't want them to ruin an awesome movie like that! -not that they would -

also, once i finish the stuff on my to do list im gonna redo my css, :/ i dont really like it anymore haha plus ive had it forever.

and more things, school starts tomorrow.
haha i have no idea where my classes are, what im doing, and where my locker is i have to go today to check

well...my mother gave me the news today, that we might have to move out of our house cause we can't afford it. and maybe move into one of the condo's we own.....but my mom says she'll drive me to school over there every day. see, the condo's are in murray, and i live in south jordan so its not that far, but like at least 30 minutes away haha

this year has just not been a good one. i also just found out that my best friend wont be going to school with me, cause her and her mom are living with her grandma, and they can't drive down every day to go to school, i hate all my classes, i dont get anything really on my birthday, we're having financial problems, and such. my parents are still fighting and yea.

*sigh* im sorry for ranting on you guys like this, its just i have no one to talk to, i when my mom told me we might be moving, i acted like i was just fine with it, if i would have cried or made a big deal of it i dont know if she could have taken it, she just seems so stressed lately.

me and my sister are gonna have to share a room if we move in to the condo, its only got 3 rooms. i wonder how much of my stuff we could take, if we're sharing, theres no way we can fit it all. lifes gonna be different, but im trying just to be neutral about it, i know my parents are doing all they can C:

mmkay, so im going camping today! we're going with my cousin's and they're bringing their kitties, the mother and twin brother to my kitty tux, and my baby roxy ^_^
so we might be bringing them also :3

we're also bringing my dog, Zoey, and we're staying until the 3rd of August, xD so not very long. see we were supposed to leave last sunday, but we were to busy so yea. haha
then i get back and have to pack for efy (tis a church camp like thing at BYU) and that's till the 8th, so then i get back on the 9th, my birthday to be exact D: which in fact is on a sunday. then on the 10th i go to girls camp (church camp) until like the 15th, then i have to go to my cousin's for my cousin Randy's wedding. D< so im like booked till school starts almost xD i dont think ill be havin a birthday party haha

so yea, ill make sure to try to finish your guyses requests and such, im taking my laptop. tho i doubt ill have connection, but its worth a try :"D and im also bringin my sketchbook, so your guyses requests might be traditional, but if you want me to redo them digital just ask <3

yo peoples!

mmkay, so yesterday i couldnt sleep so i was in my room at like 3:30 petting my cat. and when a car goes down the road, it casts little shadows all over my window. so im sitting there and this car starts passing and stops. then all of a sudden, there are flashing lights. i look out my window and there are two police cars. so they get out and one of them shines a flashlight around our house and in our yard while another says in his little walkie talkie, "Suspect heading down Presidential Drive," and such, saying our house number.

so im sitting here, hyperventilating, thinking theres some escaped convict that's hiding out in our yard. D:

so i go downstairs, double check the doors are locked, then take my dog with me and watch tv, trying to concentrate on impact stories of survival (best show ever, only comes on at 3 in the morning XD) as i can hear the cops lookin around our house, and lookin for this suspect. so about 10 minutes later the doorbell rings.

me, scared out of my wits, don't want to answer it, so i wait until the ringing wakes my dad. so he goes to the door and the cop is like, theres some kids that are running around breaking into cars and stealing from them, and a little while ago their car was parked outside your house, and we just noticed that you're car is unlocked.

good news is, the car that was unlocked, we had kept it unlocked with all the windows rolled down. haha
but the window had been shot out by one of our neighbors on accident with their beebee gun so we had taken everything valuable out of there haha

i was so relieved. i mean i thought there was an escaped convict out there or something!

but yea, apparently my sister's friend had seen some kids at his house, and they had stolen his video camera and phone out of his car, so he called the police and that's why they were at my house, they had tracked the kids to there :3

haha well anywho....i couldn't sleep and stayed up till 6 that night haha

well...the reason for the stand still in art is that im workin on my commissions, and the one im workin on has like 8 characters, so its takin a little bit, but at least im workin on the stuff on my to do list!

im sorry, but the adoptables will have to wait until i finish some other stuff, but no worries, i will definately make some in the future!

and also a new header and footer for me XD

well yea, saving up for some prismacolor markers, 60 bucks! but thats cause i want the 48 set xD

well yea. nothin else new really, im going swimming in a few hours, and i just figured out that you guys dont celebrate the 24th of july its a Utah holiday only haha

i also just discovered that the reason you are called a teenager, is when you're in your teens, like 13, 14, ect.
haha i just thought they called it that

well, im coming home today :3

i had an awesome time, tho i was gettin kinda homesick ^_^

i just wish that my family could move up here, things would be so much better!

well while i was over here i worked on the things on my to do list like i promised. i've sketched all of the stuff on my to do list, except for some that i cant sketch, like some flip pics (i do the bg and they draw the character)

MY ART BLOCK IS OFFICIALLY GONE. that was the worst one ive had so far! i couldn't draw for almost a full month haha
but now my sketchbook has a lot of pictures in it ^_^ its not depressingly empty! and thanks you guys for the input on what to do for my art block, though i didnt do any of it, haha to lazy XD

but thanks anywho!

well once i get home im going to upload all of the wips so you can see that i haven't been slacking haha ill put them all on one big sketch dump so be looking out for it!!

hey peoples! hows life? haha

well im having an awesome time down here, and im seriously considering moving down here, cause i know more people down here then at my own house haha

well back to the actual point of this journal....
my cousin's sister, niki, wanted me to paint something on her baby's wall...she had this blanket that had these little animals like monkeys and giraffes on it. so i painted a little scene with them :3

(ill upload the pictures soon)

theres a tree that goes up the side of the wall by the door, and the branches extend all the way to the corner off the wall. theres a monkey hanging off the branches and a monkey sitting on the tree. theres also two giraffes. one looking at leaves, and one bending down with leaves in its mouth. its so cute!!!

so while i was painting it my cousin was watching, and i had everything sketched out and she was like hey, can i help? and i was like uhh..... and i was gonna say no but she kinda forced her way to do it. so she painted the giraffes, well filled them in, and kinda crappily also....then she wanted to do the bushes...and she kinda ruined them...but overall it worked pretty well. its just that she now takes some credit for it. which really annoys me. like we went to her friends house and she was like, we just got back from niki's. i painted a mural.
i was just like what? no credit to me? like seriously?

and niki took us out to dinner for doing that and she was like what? i have to go! i was like why? and she was like i did half the painting!
i mean filling in? hardly half of it. and i was gonna do it myself, but she was impatient and forced her way. but oh well.

just kinda irks me.



so my mom said i could paint flowers in my room, but when it came down to it, she said she didn't trust me. so take that mom! haha

i really want to paint a huge mural on all the walls of my room...just like a huge scene of animals :3 either that or a sketch room, where i can just sketch on the walls ^_^

well ill upload the pictures soon, i would have loved to make the animals more realistic, but she wanted them cartoony, so if theres mistakes in the anatomy, its supposed to be like that.

hey peoples, sad to say im leaving again, haha
my mom is ditching me to go to new york so i have to go to my cousin's house for 9 days, its all good though, cause i love going there <3
only bad news is, there's no paint there. but here's where the laptop part comes in handy......

k, so i had a summer job helping my sister and her boyfriend with taking pictures at weddings, you know the guestbook? well what you do is we take a funny picture of you, then you put the picture in the guestbook and sign next to it, its funner, and you can look back at it again and again (pete my sister's boyfriend calls it Funkybooth )
but anywho, pete said that if i helped them then he could lend me his laptop as payment, since he was getting a new one anywho ^_^

so, i got it today and its awesome it doesn't have internet (but what laptop does? you have to buy one of those fancy things to plug in, and my sister wont let me cause it's still pete's laptop, not mine.) or paint, but pete installed this one thing called paintex (i think that's what its called) which is basically paint (pixel art) but has most everything photoshop has, except the burn and dodge, and the blur tool.

also i got photoshop and stuff with my tablet, but it wouldn;t work on my comp for some odd reason, so i tried it on the laptop and it worked, but while installing it asked for a serial number

well im over at my cousin's house right now, and i was supposed to go home yesterday with my mom and sisters, but my mom says i can stay until thursday, which is the family reuinion, though no one in my family can go, so i have to come home with my other cousins on Saturday, want to know the best part?
i packed 3 outfits XD for a week and a half haha

yay, while we're here me and haylee (my cousin) are on baby duty, cause her sister has to go to work, so we have to watch her baby carly ^^
not that i dont like that, shes as cute as could be, but im just not that good with babies, being as i never remember Maddie being a baby, and shes the only one younger then me. oh well, might as well get some practice in now

my cousin got the cutest dog! shes a pomeranian and her name's Ellie ^_^

my cousin haylee is so tired haha, she just said her legs gave out and collapsed on the floor, i had to help her up, which is not as easy as it sounds, considering we're the same age, and she didn't want to get up haha

so, back to the actual reason for this journal......

im sorry im here till Saturday, and my cousin acidentally deleted paint from the comp, so sadly, i can't do much of anything. im sorry to those who commissioned, i feel really bad, but i promise that ill sketch your commissions on paper, just so i can get started
good news is, ive started painting again! this time i tried acrylics, cause oil paint takes too long to dry, and when your on the road, its kinda hard to keep it from smearing, and keep it dry haha

but you should see it, its actually turning out pretty good, ill take a pic and show ya ^_~

hey peoples!

just felt like updatin cause i haven't in a while ^^

well, today i got my top gums practically lazered off D: aparently i didn't brush them well enough so they got infected it was painful! i also got a cavity filled, 2 teeth sealed, and they were this close to putting a new bracet on! they still hurt, but only a little
i also got checked out during the drama assembly and i was sitting next to my crush, havin an awesome time

while im on my sad kick....
well, its now official. most my family hates the fact that im doing digital art. whenever im on the computer drawing they get kinda mad. i mean im originally a oil painter and drawer but recently my dad owed my art teacher some money and i felt bad going to the art lessons cause linda (the teacher) would always be like, so your dad still owes me that money..and he kept forgetting to pay so i finally said i wasn't gonna go until he paid her. so weeks turned to months and soon it had almost been a year. he finally did it but now i cant ever find a ride to go to my lessons. plus we're a little short on money so i feel like i shouldn't go to art, cause i dont want my mom to have to stress about the money.

so i haven't gone in a while. also im drawing on paper, but i draw cats. my familys not to keen on that either. they're like oh no, shes drawing cats again! i mean its not like i can't draw other things....i feel like such a copycat. all my oil paintings? they're all drawn from looking at a picture. i feel like all im doing is copying that picture. i mean all those cats you see me doing? they're all from reference pictures. at least all the poses *sigh* thats why i tried digital art. i thought that maybe i could stop copying if i did digital. guess not.

i mean i was downstairs, and my sister comes up to me while im drawing on the comp and says, so when are you gonna go back to doing real art? i was so mad. i mean digital art is as much of "real art" as painting or drawing is. and i went upstairs and my sisters and my mom were talking about my digital art. then my sister is like, so are you gonna be a graphic designer now? kinda in a sneering way. i mean shouldn't my family support me no matter what kind of drawing i do? so i might not be on as much, my mom is trying to limit my drawing on the comp. she says that she wants me to be outdoors but i know its really cause she wants me to stop drawin on here. *sigh*
but on to some happy news.....

i might get a summer job! my sisters boyfriend is a photographer, and he does weddings and such? well he said that he needed some help, so i would be his assistant type thing, cutting out stuff, helping with the camera ect! not the most exciting job but the weddings have free food! also pete (the one thats giving me the job) says he might let me use his old laptop! haha

in other news.....
would you guys consider taking commishions from me? if i did them it would probably be later, not really now, but would you consider them? if so plz tell meh....
also, if i did, can someone help me figure out some fair prices? i think i might do something like 2 dollar commish with 5 dollars as highest? at least for now? do you guys think thats a good price? plz help if not!

well as some of you may know, ive been thinking of making my fursona something like a daemon, at least when your a kid. because it will change its animal form a little before settling. now i just want to take that basic idea and make my fursona change animals and keep the natural look of that animal but keep like some markings or accessories.
what do you think?

well hi there~ just thought id update a little :3

well, my 5k is coming up and if you catch it you get a prize! so go and catch it! you have to print screen it and you can't be close like 5001 you have to get it right on c:

haha well it seems that i had lunch detention today i had to write "i will not be tardy" twice on each line of the paper, front and back my hand hurt after and i was freakin hungry all day!! anywho....

(rant alert~)

me, my mom, and my little sister are all sick. Since my mom was sick most of the home came to a stand still xD we all had no clothes, no dishes, and the house was a mess. so guess who got stuck with cleaning it? yea, me. I mean im ok with helping my mom but having my sister nag on me all day isn't fun. i was just in a really bad mood. i mean since shes sick she thinks that she can act like a princess, well more than normal. so i bring her her food and she makes me take it back saying that somethings wrong with it, like its too cold, or not hot enough. then my dad drives all the way out somewhere to get her a jamba juice and when she gets it (btw, she asked for a vitamin boost) she says it tastes to vitimany. i mean srsly? you cant taste vitimans!!!!! and then she moans all night about how her ears hurt and practicly driving my mom insane!
so, maddie rejecting so many things i bring her, the dishes have piled up. i mean it was bad. we had no clean cups, bowls, utencils, or pans. yea. that bad. haha and our dishwasher is toast, kaboom, dead. so i had to hand wash all of them. it took me three whole hours. so then i had to help with the laundry, and then clean my room, and vacuum. haha so one day later my sister is jumping around and she of course feels fine. perfect. btw, she doesn't use her own bed. she sleeps in my moms bed. every night. my dad has to use hers! btw, shes 10.

sorry for the rant guys, my sister just bugs me.

and im still debating a contest, just still tryin to think of a topic xD i would do something with drawing my charries but they arent really interesting so thats out...

so, as you know...(actually i dont think any of you know xD)i go through crushes pretty quick XD so far ive gone through 7 in one year XD usually its cause i lose hope and just be their friend instead. acourse they learn my name and start talking to me after i throw them out! XD well the lastes ones are Cody and Matt...Matt likes me, and hes nice and such, i kinda like him but eh. now Cody, i like but im not sure if he likes meh? well...i am now paranoid to be off da for more then a day. im afraid i will never be able to fight back all those messages!!!! i left for ONE day, came back, and i hade 65 deviations and 60 messages. XD i was like wut? i don't think i could go on vacation without there being like 200+ messages and 300+ deviations! XD

haha we had the worst pollution here in utah ever. it looked like we had fog...you couldn't see the mountains for ike a week...we had worse pollution then las vegas..which compared to here with mountains fresh air and sucj...that SUCKS. 30% of our air was really bad for you and could kill you... O.O yea. XD anywho.....

haha christmas was so awesome! i got a new camera, its purple, lots of new shoes and clothes X3, and im supposed to get a paint set! like with a real easel and canvas and oil paints so i can do it at home too :3 hey! with my new camera i can finally show all yall my oil paintings! XD yay. haha well we went outside and made a snowfort, snowman, and a tunnel/igloo. it hasn't stopped snowing. its still going on as i type...its so much snow. but hey what can you expect? i mean utah, the place that has the 'best snow' haha

Hey guys!
haha its like 9:00 and im just sitting here waiting to be able to wake my mom. she says we can't wake her until 10:00 at least...im so excited!! i looked out the window, were locked downstairs, and we have THE BIGGEST SNOWSTORM EVER. SNOW IS COATING EVERYTHING, EVEN THE DOOR. YOU CAN BARELY SEE THROUGH THE WINDOWS THEY'RES SO MUCH SNOW AND ICE COVERING THEM. im so excited!!
christmas eve wasn't very fun tho....of course on christmas eve i get my . early....so i had the worst cramps in the world while we were opening our sister gifts D: but i took two IBprofen and i was feeling better only when we went downstairs to watch a movie..then i fell asleep 4 minutes later XD haha well i've just been finishing all your guy's requests as sort of an extra christmas present..and if you didn't notice they all have a christmassy bg haha well yea. i wonder what we're making for breakfast? meh. haha funny story we get one present from 'santa' and the rest are from our parents and my mom took me aside(i don't believe in santa) and told me that the present from 'santa' hasn't been shipped here yet. im gonna try and get my mom to buy me a subbie cause thats all i can think of

also on the topic of DA my dad says i should start doing commissions, i dont think im good enough but my dad says i am. what do you guys think? should i start doing commish's? or wait a while... :I

also i think i want to do one of those giant christmas pics with all my friends in it..ill just have to see if i finish most the stuff on my to do list 8D if i do then i will

also i might get a camera for christmas so i can take some pics of my oil paintings you guys still have'nt seen then and they are waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy better than all my other art on here X3

I will judge according to creativity and not how well you draw.well yea, also im thinking about buying photoshop but im broke. should i get photoshop? or should i keep using paint? i LOVE paint, but it has its downsides. Also photoshop has cool things like blur and burn and dodge and stuff like that, but i dont know if id like it as much as paint....tell me what you guys think. paint or photoshop?
