Well flu season definitely hit, and I've had one of the worst colds ever for the last two weeks, so bad I think it was actually THE flu. Not swine flu thank god. I've spent the last two weeks just wanting to go out, when I know I can't really, as last Tuesday proved that, I missed Goose Fair because of this, and I couldn't go out with Gazzy on Friday :( God I miss him.
Stupid flu making me feel isolated.

Was wondering - does anyone know where I'd be able to buy a cheap decent condition classical violin that's either new or second-hand? I'm not fussed as long as it's relatively cheap and in pretty good condition :P
I decided I want to learn because I can't get the damn Grizzly Hills music out of my head. >.>

I started College today, well, it was only the induction, but I really enjoyed it. The tests they gave out were RATE hard. Seriously. I don't understand why you need Cs in English and Maths for this course, that's like saying "you're dyslexic, you can't do this course." Gah. Too much to go into atm.

I've had to change my application twice so far, but it's all good, Ariana rang me up today and mentioned another option as Edexcel won't accept me on to the course I applied for.
I'll be doing three months on a fast track Music Technology skills course, just to get me up to scratch and I'll be entered on to level 3 in January, and if I pass my English Literacy test I'll get moved on up anyway.

In the meantime, I've got stuff to deal with with the doctors. They think I have an Under-active Thyroid, so I want to get that checked out. However, I don't think they'll tell me that as my Mum has it and they refuse to admit she has one. Goddamn doctors.

Since I'm based in Nottingham at College, there's a slim opportunity of new photographs emerging soon. We'll see :)

Gonna be doing Music Technology at Confetti in Nottingham. Should be fun.

I'm also hoping that this may spark some inspiration to draw, write and take photos too. I know I've said several times this year that I'd start again, but to be honest, I couldn't bring myself to do it, several recent events in life changed me horribly, I've been so depressed this last year that it's been even more difficult to do things on my own that it has been before, particularly going to Global Gathering, but I made two new friends from that, so I came out of that well off. It was a very big step to push myself into applying for this course, but I'm 21 now, I have to start focusing on what I want from life. It might not be a job like my parents would want, but you know, I could be a music producer ten years from now or a famous musician, I'll be making money and I'd be happy.

Ah well. Let's see how this venture turns out.

Global Gathering was goooooooood. I saw Kissy Sell Out, The Prodigy and Pendulum, met two guys from Long Eaton (WTH!), ended up with really bad sun burn, got heat stroke and came home on Saturday :P

My birthday could've been better. This guy decided to have a go at me. I actually counted him as a friend, and now he'll be lucky if I ever talk to him again tbh. Basically he had a go at me for giving some Ventrilo details out to a friend, when I'd asked the owner's brother-in-law (who I believe has more of a right to give permission than the other guy does) if it was okay, and then I had someone else ranting at me. I apologised to the owner for causing problems, and he was completely fine with everything. I only asked so that my friend could talk to me and the owner's brother-in-law while we were in an instance together, that would've been the only time he'd've gone on it.

I just think some people like to make everyone else's lives as miserable as possible, cos this left me in a horrible mood all day until my parents took me out for dinner >.>

Oh well. You can't have it all can you?

So I'm 21 this year. Not looking forward to that tbh, BUT I am looking forward to my birthday present :D
I asked my Dad for tickets to Global Gathering after me and Hanna started discussing festivals we could go to after we watched Pendulum play at Download. We found out they're playing Global Gathering and made plans to go.
I found out last week that he got them, WHICH MEANS... :D
I'm going to see Pendulum, The Prodigy, Does it Offend You, Yeah? and loads of other dance acts I actually quite like! :O
The first two I knew about before, but I only found out DIOYY? were playing this evening, and I'm like really hyped up about it.
The only thing though is I could be going on my own, which would suck, as Hanna has to travel to Nottingham all the way from Inverness and it's gonna be a bit weird >.< It means I'll be on my own for three days with nobody I know and aside from having a really good time listening to music I love, it'll be depressing.

I really wish I knew how to get her down here.

Oh well. It'll be a blast ^^

I totally failed at my promise to get out and take some photographs. But I'm in a total predicament right now. After me and my best friend watched Pendulum play live at Download through our computer screens, we're both desperate to see them play some other festival, and we're both kinda settling for Global Gathering in Stratford-upon-Avon the weekend before my birthday. I don't ever ask my Dad for anything other than to pick me up from my parents' designated meeting spot on the A1, or at least that I can remember.

Tickets are £115 for the whole weekend which includes camping, but not travel (which I'm more than happy to pay for), and I have no idea how to ask my Dad for this. I have a lot of problems asking for anything that involves money. What the hell do I do?

As you can see I just got myself a sub for the summer, and I'm hoping to use it. Although I just started a work placement, I've had to back out of it, since a lot of problems have arisen in the last month, but I'm dealing with them. I'm hoping to use my time productively and want to get out and take pictures.

Any suggestions on what I might want to take pictures of? I just need a little inspiration, and I want to get better at photography.

Alright. I've delayed this contest thing for WAY too long.
And I've come to a decision on the winners.

I judged on level of detail and array of colouring, and also as one of my entrants entered the contest with individual pictures of each element I have to take into consideration her pieces put together.

1st Place: [link] by =GisaPizzatto - Even though she panicked she wouldn't have enough time to enter this piece the detail of this piece, looking at all four of her depictation of the elements, is amazing! The canvas she painted on really gives her elements life! Well done on such an amazing piece!

2nd Place: [link] by ~Dienle - This piece is pretty. I love the textures on her elements' clothing and the digital effects she placed with them. I'm particularly fond of Earth and Wind in this piece, how Earth is walking through the grass as if she's throwing seeds to grow life on the ground she's walking on, and how Wind is sort of dark with a dust cloud growing behind her, starting a storm in her wake.

3rd Place: [link] by *Earthmagic - This piece particularly caught my attention. Her camera caught the flames and colours really well , and it's great how you can see which direction in which the flames are flickering and it's great how the fire doesn't light up the area around it just showing off all of the flames behind those logs.

I didn't think that stamps were used much anymore, but that's a non-subscriber talking there.

Stars and Lost are tying as my most favourited deviations in my actual gallery, that stamp doesn't count as it shifted to scraps.

It means a lot these favourites. Thanks for your support!

And on another note, I think it's about time I actually did something about that contest.
I am REALLY REALLY sorry I've left it so long. I only log in every once in a while now. :/
I'll do the judging during the week, and let you know next weekend, so hold your britches in place people!

In other news: It's my birthday today which means I am now no longer a teenager.
LIEK OMFG I'M TWENTY :O

And I've only had four presents so far :P

Well. Since I have a LOT of time on my hands at
the moment I decided to give my featured people the
full-works. I've given 13 deviants a feature with
