I've been very busy in the latest months/years with university, and I'm always pleased to come back here to see how much this club flourished with submissions and members ever since it was converted into a DA club.  I especially want to thank my two moderators for doing a great job in my absences.

- Gargoyle mythos: It is known that gargoyles do have a religion, but greg never mentionned much about it.  Imagine and depic what the deity of a garg clan might be like (or spirit, etc.  It doesn't even have to resemble a garg persay).

- In the same branch, Greg said that gargoyles were ritualistic. Now, we've been told some members might be interested in contests.  I've a little idea for one....

As you can alll plainly see, deviantart changed design (it does once in a while) and so the journal itself changed colors and the Mascott title picture there doesn't blend in anymore.

WHILE I can customize this with CSS and just put it back to how it use to be--- I thought it would be interesting to run a contest to create a new Journal heading image to replace the one we have now that's been there for a long time and was the result of a past contest so to speak. (The Mascott).

"THE BIG BAD NEWS (and a little bit of good news).

As many of you have probably heard, we found out Saturday (7/26/08) at San Diego ComicCon that the GARGOYLES (including BAD GUYS) license will not be renewed after it expires on 8-31-08.

Just to be very, very clear... this is NOT the result of poor sales. GARGOYLES is still one of the best selling book SLG publishes (if not THE best). BAD GUYS doesn't do too badly either by SLG standards. Of course, delays didn't help sales... and there are probably other factors that reduced the upside -- including the writing -- but none of that is the point.

Support the con by REGISTERING EARLY, even if you do not know if you can make it! Buy a Supporting Membership! You can also support it by printing out flyers from the convention site, if you go to other conventions take flyers with you and hand them out, post them in your local comic shops, post them anywhere interested people might hang out.
The more money raised the better the con will be! Also, remember to start thinking about 2009, all it takes is a few dedicated fans to put out a bid to have the con held in your area.

I have accrued quite the collection of Gargoyles memorabilia however, so future contests are set with Gargoyles toys and merchandise as prizes!

I will subscribe the club for one year once the current 3 month sub runs out and that will likely be the last time I invest my own money on keeping the club subscribed.  Hopefully with our new mascot future subscriptions wont have to come out of any one person's pocket, but rather be supported as a whole by a future online store.
