Over the past months my interest on Teen Titans has slowly disapeared. I'm not sure it's because of the cancellation of the show or if it's just me moving on to other things. The point is that I still get a lot of kind comments about the comics and pictures I made (which I still like, let's be clear about that) but somehow I feel like I'm kinda cheating on people.

To be honest, my interest right know is on slice-of-life anime (and
Tarantino-Rodriguez style movies, but I won't draw fanart about that ) I also have been planning on making my own manga with my own characters. 'Why a Manga?' you may ask and 'why not a comic?'. Well, the main reason is that mangas usually don't need color and are a lot less complicated than an average looking comic book. Also, because of the kind of story I have in mind (read: no action, no heroes. Just normal girls having a normal life, with some comic situations of course), the manga format will work a lot
better.

So I make this as some kind of farewell for Teen Titans. I'm not complaining though. The time while I liked the show really rocked and it leaved a good impression on me. And if you like one of the pictures I made and wanna leave a comment, go ahead. I still care about your comments.

PD: I hope I won't return crawling drawing TT fanart on a near future lol

I like these kind of things on movies, cartoons or videogames when it comes to villains:

+ Scenes were the bad guys travel on big trucks, you know, a convoy. Don't know why, maybe Transformers had something to do about it.
+ Characters who use gas masks. It's not a fetish, it's just that I like to hear distorted voices.
+ Movies were the enemies are part of a military corporation (private or from the goverment), and of course wear military gear.
+ If there are two groups of villains in a movie/cartoon/game, I like it when they fight beetwen them.

F.E.A.R. (a videogame) has most of these things, so I had a hell of a good time with it.
Planet Terror features a scene where the bad guys appear on big trucks, are part of the military AND wear gas masks, all of that on the night. Man I must watch that movie.

If I were to film a movie or draw a comic, I would include all those elementes on it.

I know, this is a weird random thing. I just felt like posting it.

No, this is not what you think (whatever it is that you thought).

The situation is that I've been drawing a lot of girls lately and I realized something that may cause me a lot of trouble in the near and far future: I have absolutely no sense of fashion. My entire wardrobe consists of black/blue shirts and black/blue jeans. The thing is that I always have to wear something black. Some of my friends even think I'm a goth because of that. If I have horrible taste for myself being a guy, go imagine my fashion sense for girls.

Now, this is a question for all of you girls: can you give me some pointers about clothing, not for me, I mean clothing for girls. Something about color combinations would be nice (be as detailed as you want, don't worry). Also a link to a website were I can find girl clothes would be great (I'd try to watch girls on my town, but I would feel like a stalker doing it).

Take in mind I'm talking about young girls (12-13 years old, that's why I said I felt like a stalker). I don't want to end up drawing little girls on thongs and mini-skirts.

Any help will be really apreciated.

I just want to let you know that I do read all your comments and that I really appreciate when you give me faves and watches (I can think of a pun right now but I think you can figure it out anyway).

By the way, I haven't really been doing NOTHING at all. My sketch block is full of new drawings. I've been working on some original characters I want to develop (no superheroes, just normal characters) and when the time is right I'll show them to the people.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but I think my Teen Titans drawings will be less and less over time (like if they haven't been spare lately anyway). Its just that I don't find the motivation I had before. I still like TT but I don't really feel like drawing fanart of it anymore. I think I'll finish the Formative Days series and that will be it. I fear the main reason many people watched me will disappear. Only time will tell.

Oh, and as a final announcement. I'm practically graduated from College now. I just have to receive my Diploma. You can give cheers if you want to

I always said to myself "don't be stupid, you didn't went to watch Sin City at the theaters, don't miss this chance". I watched the movie trailers at Youtube so many times I memorized the lines, the music, the release date, everything.

Then April 6th came and most critics liked the film. It even got a 81% score at Rotten Tomatoes (more that I expected). But it turns out you people in the US aren't watching the movie. Even cr*p like the "Are we (insert variable here) yet?" franchise is having better results. Now I have my doubts if this movie will ever come to Central America.
I was reading at the titansgo.net forums a thread about a person who was stealing other people's drawings and how that person got caught because somebody recognized some of the drawings featured in said person's gallery.

I got thinking, "It's pretty easy to realize when somebody is stealing art, I mean, you just have to look how the styles of some pictures will be radically different compared to others".

Well, the last day I was looking at some of the drawings I've made so far and realized HOW D*MN DIFFERENT my drawings are compared to each other. I mean, look at the entire merchandise series. On each comic the caracters look different. It's a miracle nobody has acused me of stealing art.

ENGLISH:

I finished my internship (it was cool, meet many interesting people) and now I have to write a monograph about the things I did while I was there.

Cause my brothers are busy working on the computers I thought "let's start handwriting it for now". Since it's been a looong time since the last time I wrote with cursive letter (I think I haven't used it since primary school) I dediced to give it a try. MY GOD, WHAT A MESS. Everything looks like it was written by a pirate (a cult one, of course). Sometimes I have to write a letter and I end up writing another, I don't remember how some capital letters are suppoused to look like (so I improvise on those ones), I mix cursive letters with normal letters...

I always had the theory that anybody who can draw has nice handwritting (it doesn't works the other way, sorry P)). I guess this experience explains why it's so dificult to me to draw nice, round lines. I have to start practicing, A LOT.

Necesito empezar a practicar. BASTANTE.

I was attending my 'Professional Ethics' class at college. It was a little boring and all but then the teacher said something that left me thinking:

"How do you explain to a blind person what colour blue is like?"
You see, someone who became blind, sad as it may be, already has an advantage over those persons who where born blind. They know about colors, geometric figures, the human body, faces, flowers, sky, clouds, grass, anything. The people who where born blind probably don't have an idea about those things.

Now, when my teacher said that he was referring to the fact that sometimes language limits our imagination. There are moments when words aren't enough to describe something. I couldn't think of a good sentence to describe colours to someone who has never seen them. The best I could think of were feelings: blue is like peace, red can either be anger or love, etc.

I'm really limited when it comes to using my imagination. I have to open my mind a little more.

And you, how do you explain to a blind person what colour blue is like?

But when I get near I feel like my personal space is invaded. Even if I'm near and not looking at one I start to feel like somebody is watching me. Weird eh. Being in a warehouse full of them would be hell for me.

Well, what the hell was that? Nothing, just trying to post something about me. I've been really busy lately and that allowed me to put my drawings on perspective. For one thing, I decided that if I'm gonna make a series I'l WRITE THE DAMN THING FIRST(WTDTF). That's because I've though of like seven ways to continue "Formative days". It seemed so clear when I drew the first one now I can't easily thing of a way to continue it. Well it'll come to me eventualy. Second, I'll stick with my technique (drawing on paper, vectorizing with Corel, painting with Paint Shop Pro) because it gives me good results. Inking directly on paper is not for me (I'm too clumsy).

I have such a big idea on mind, but to do it I have to improve on poses and backgrounds, improve my english, and most importantly WTDTF (hey I just create an acronym). I hope I can bring my ideas to life.

- To know I did something really big for my country or at least to know I changed someone life.
- To play a character voice in a cartoon(I'm not a very good actor, but I know I can perform some voices).
Someone who really wants to change my country for good.
Well, it was fun. I still feel ashamed for the missunderstanding, but hey I won a friend
I'll see who to tag next.

Edit: I decided who to tag:

Well, it's 2006. I didn't think I would stay more than three months here at deviantART but here I am. I got 1000 pages views in like three months. That's good right?
I'm very happy with all the support I've received. It means a lot to me. I hope to be a more active member this new year(commenting and faving more drawings) so I can make a lot of new friends.
This is a very important year in my life too: this year I graduate from college. I'll work with computers and I hope to have success in life.
I have a lot of new ideas this year, let's hope they all materialize.
Thanx to you all.

Well, this is the first time I use this "Journal thing" and I though I would write which as been my impression so long here at Deviantart.

I think is funny to do drawings and to post them here so people can comment about them. I had a great welcome by a lot of wonderful persons, who also admire my art. Is great to see that someone actually likes the things I do. (I'm sorry about my english, I speak spanish).

About the comics, this is very random to say but there it is: Some people may think "Man, this guy is a clown, he must make people around him happy, and laugh and stuff" but the fact is that I am a very normal and shy person (If you were out on a date with me you'll be bored to tears).

I Also found out something. The mayor part of the people who likes my art is female. Thats a surprise to me, I wish I were that interesting to women in real life.

So long, its been a nice experience and I hope to be around here a long time.
