Back to earthy-fruity things! October is the month of apples and pears! In a few days I will start to collect all apples from our tress. Thats heavy and hard work. And then I will start to try some new recipes!! Last year I tried streusel-apple-cake, apple purÃ©e, baked apples with cranberries or marzipan with nuts, pancakes with caramelised vanilla-apples. Have you ever tried to make delicious apple chips? They are tasting fantastic and are easy to make.
And now Im searching for some new recipes. Have you some great ideas? Or old recipes of your grandma? I would love to try something new!

Hello!! Im back!

That last time I was *really* at dA was spring - Late summer is now kissing apples and pears. Really a long time. My business is running good at the moment and kept me full-time-busy. There was no time for paintings or doodles.
In my spare time I was in the gardens - planting my own fruit and vegetable! Aww, I love working with plants! My darling and I decided, that we dont want to eat all that perfect-looking-with-pesticides-and-wondergrowing-stuff-
transformed things that they called healthy fruit/vegies... Now we are having our own, and Im soooooo proud. Everything is growing like crazy.

What else happened? Our car died. Sigh (We have too find a new one, we are living outside the town and everything is too far away to catch the bike). My mum broke her left arm. My dads car was in pieces. The car from my boyfriends mum died as well. Strange vibrations here ...

Mhmmmmm... but late summer sun is kissing my mood and warms my mind. And sorrows turned paler... See you soon!

All my sweet friends, I just wanted to say hello - and Im not lost or something like that. Im in absence because several things happen.

My boyfriends mother got bad sick and is in hospital. She had surgery yesterday and I hope she will be well soon. Now we have to wait for the laboratory tests... But we are all thinking positive and the surgery went well and she is making jokes already, so I think everything will be fine soon...

Beneath that Im buried in work, with lots of new clients and projects running. 'Till now I dont have the time to answer all the sweet comments, but next week - thats when the trade fairs will be. And many of my clients are there with no time to call me. Then I will get sleep and some time for dA...

It was time for a new subby and so I bought one today! To celebrate it, I created a new journal-header. Hope you like it. Its a part of a new painting series Im currently working on, mixed with the fire creature from the last series. I love recyling my paintings!!.

For the next days I will not be at dA often, for the reason of much and big work. We have to plan two trade fairs from Mailings and ads to Contact report cards, Booth Design, Fon-Marketing thingies and so on. And there is an other big job but I have to be quiet about it, you know - contracts. High-level photo-retouching and compositions... Hope that we will earn some good money. Really need that after the horrible quite month december and january...

...AND: Yesterday I visited the Adobe Masters Tour, with a 6 h seminar about cross-media-workflow of the Adobe programms. It was so awesome and the guys who managed the seminar were really cool. I enjoyed the whole day! If you have ever the change of visiting such an event - dont hestitate!! Its soooo cool!!!!

Im busy as usual, with a few new potential clients to meet in the near future and a lot work to do. Im working on my personal website and on the one for the company... and I have three more to layout. Then I want to make something like a small artbook with all the artworks I did in 2007, with which I can go to clients and publishers. And so on.

Hach... My boyfriend is on vacations, rocking the mountains and riding his snowboard somewhere in the Alps. I cant do snowboard. Sigh. I think tomorrow everything will be better with this downness. Its not that I cant be alone or something. Just if you are the whole day alone with your own business talking to no one for days (complaining clients dont count) - and in the evening there is still no one to really talk to ... Its silent. But I have Fiddich (the drama cat, remember?) who talks much to me, if he doesnt gets enough food (in his opinion). Muaaarrrghhhhmewwwww, meaaauargh...
So never mind me. Just a bit drama for my soul, and writing makes it go better.

Ahh, sorry darlings for replying to you all so late. I was totally busy in the last few days - clients went mad, when christmas is coming. Whatever.
Its cold in Germany these days, -10Â° Celsius (about 14Â° Fahrenheit - dont know exactly

Everything is covered with frost. A totally wonderful white winter-landscape, really beautiful. But without snow! If I found time I will upload some winter impressions for you.

Now I have to stop hanging around at dA, I have a meeting with a client. Weekend? My week has no end!

At the moment I feel quit - mhm, empty. I just finished income-tax-office-stuff this morning and it was all horrible. Silly me missed the deadlines, but now they call for it and they were quite rude! Argh! Paralysed me could't move, couldn't think normal, out of order... Ah, dont know exactly why. Probably because Im very unsure with all these. And now its finished and I feel nothing at all. Brr.

I hope you feel much better and have a nice christmas and winter time. Wish you all a happy time, not so stressful and maybe relaxing. Im sitting here waiting for snow which brings me feelings of joy back in my heart - but it will not snow. Bad forecast. Cold and dry.

I think I will have a short break from dA, a few days away from this beloved community. Im still not really feeling well atm, fever comes and goes, hits me, leaves me. Can't understand whats happening.
In addition to that I have to deal with a huge amount of work in the next few days, the tax office is waiting for my tax return (hate that so damn much - it seems to paralyse me), we have to clean out our attics (with things collected for ages, including old things from my gradparents!) and my bf's mum is moving and that have to be done by the weekend ...

Ahh, everything seems to be too much!! Sigh.

I will try to finish the pics for the contests I want to participate, I will try really hard, but I can't promise. And thats making me very sad, because I really wanted to enter. Im feeling brainless and empty, all that bloody everyday-life-problem-stuff...

Sorry for all the complaining, Im really sorry to write this whole rubbish, but sometimes things are going to be easier if you write it down. Suddently everything isn't that dark as before.

The day before yesterday I lost my iPod and it was a lot drama, because I love it so much and Im hearing audiobooks all the time... my little friend in the pocket. I searched everywhere, between dishes and socks and the bedding, under the sofa in the shower (

Yesterday evening my cat starts screaming, because he was hungry (he is always hungry) and with my huge bad headache I can't stand it a minute and got up and schlepped myself in the kitchen to the fridge, opened the door - and WTF?!? I freezed my iPod!

I know...

1. I am a glutton for books. I am bibliophilic. I love reading.
Since I learned how to read I devoured books like a manic. When I was about 13/14 my parents were shocked, because in spite of going out with friends or shopping or being the tinyest bit active in social life - I read a book. Every month I spent my money on books and the bookshops and librarys were my favourite place to be. I started working in a library (Weee! She went outside!

!) and so on and so on... If I concentrate I am able to read 100 pages (normal book size) a hour, and I like re-reading my paper-treasures. So, how you might guess, I have lots and lots of books... which lead us to the next point.
2. Im am addicted to knowledge.
I always enjoyed looking up every nut, bolt and screw. Everything which comes across and I do not know - I had to look it up. So I love Wikipedia, you can hardly find anything there.

3. I am torn between technology and nature
I love my PC. And I love being in the nature. I would love to have my office in an old victorian green-house with trees and plants and twines around my desk... Birds in the treetops...

But my computer would not like it, too humid, too bad...
4. I love magic things
It started when I was a child and my dad told me stories about unicorns, faeries, dragons, nature-elements and dryads. So I started to look through the curtains and I found a world full of magic beside the technical world of our times. I have a passion for witchy things and nature-orientated way of live.
5. Mythology is my passion
I was always interessted in mythologie, and norse is my favourite. But it all started with egyptian, greece and roman myth. After school I went to university and started to study history of art, Egyptology, Prehistory and archaeology as major... But after some times I dropped it, I missed drawing too much. I decided to study mythology by myself, without university and started a job training at an advertising agency. At the moment I concentrate on Inuit mythology.
6. I always mix up left and right.
If someone says go to the left, I will always go to the right without realising what is wrong. I even turned to the wrong way in my driving test...

7. Without my hot-water-bottle I can't live
I am cold all the time! Except in summer, when its hotter than 30Â°degrees. So I carry it along with me when I am at home. My boyfriend teases me with it and wants to draw a comic of my hot-water-bottle and me. But its paradoxal, I like autumn and winter more than summer!
8. I run my own business
After loosing my job in an advertising agency, I was jobless. I fell ill for quite a long time, I could not deal with it. It was so hard for me and I didn't knew how to handle it. Completly out of concept. But after 3/4 year things turned better and I started my own business, as illustrator/grafic designer/web/... I regain my health and started to be happy and positive again. My boyfriend helped me alot, and I am so thankful

I want to thank you all for your support, for the lovely comments and the manymany faves and watches. It is so much aprreciated and I feel so honoured,

. I can't believe that so many people like my art! Its a wonderful experience and finding all these kind words warm my heart...

In the last two weeks I had so much work to do, I could not even think about drawing new stuff. With a lack of time and sleep, Im not able to. My boyfriend and me are working as freelancers for many clients and sometimes everyone wants everything at the same time! And tomorrow we want to go to denmark! And I still had to redraw about 12 (road-) maps, because the modifications and changes came this late!

...
But we are confident. With another night shift (its just the fifth this week... who needs sleep? Three to four hours is still enough!) we will finish the whole thing.

Im so happy to go to denmark!!! And about this holiday break from normal business, especially after this two horror weeks. So my dears and darlings, we will meet again in about a week!

Tomorrow I will leave for a trip to the city I have fall in love with - LONDON! There will be some work to do, because I am visiting one of my clients (there will be a big event, where their new collection will be introduced to the world! *o*), but in the mean time - I will enjoy my stay in this wonderful city!

Oh, Im soo excited! My plane is leaving tomorrow afternoon! Yeah!

At least one day I want to take some pictures of Wapping, Rotherhide and White Chapel. As you can read in the previous journal entry, Im planning a new series of digital images settled in London, and I need some nice backgrounds! Hope I am able to find the things I have in mind...
