edit: i was listening to some old ladies today (as you do) and it dawned on me how simplistic their lives are compared to ours (the youth). The one lady, let's call her Agnes was showing some photo's on her digital camera and they were all of flowers and jacaranda trees, and the amazement and excitement that the other ladies had was intriguing. There were such things said as:"and where was that Jacaranda tree? i haven't seen them flower that purple for so long"...it just made me realise one day *hopefully* i'll be old and senile taking random photos of grass and jacaranda trees and discussing their geographic locations. How lovely....it is such an imminent contrast to the discussions of the teenagers today.

boooya! schoolies tomorrow, i am pumped! I had an eventful day of cleaning my fishtank, scraping algae of the log and buying plants for the tank, packing my bag....buying grog with coates, aaand having a coffee with Russle. To top things off we won our basketball match!! and i scored 18points. not bad, not bad.

Yay, party for a week....i am so excited! I'm still trying to catch up sleep from the last few nights, sleep deprivation...yummy, what with two formals...i'm still recouping. The second was a blast! met heaps of new people...and there was an awesome DJ and a hot dancing floor with smoke etc. After four hours of dancing and swearing that i will never wear heels again...i can finally feel my toes again.

I sold some school books today huzzah! and burnt the rest in a ceremonial bonfire last night. At the present, i am covered in white paint with my futile (but rather good i might add) efforts at painting the upstairs bedroom with my mum.

I have bruises on bruises, thanks to a wonderful basketball game on the weekend where my bestie thought it was amusing to rugby tackle me to the floor and use other "humorous" antics in which to steal the ball. We lost nonetheless. hehe

My bedroom no longer is like, quote "climbing up Mt Everest" but "a whole new room"... it's radiant... and no-one falls over anymore. That's one source of amusement that has been removed.

and at the moment...the beach is looking like a great idea.

but the more exciting news is organising a road trip. We have narrowed it down to two ideas, one the Great Ocean Road, which is meant to be amazing, and the second going from Warimaloo (or something of the sort) to Arakoon and then to Dangars Falls, camping for 12 days. It should be exciting, and at the current trying to organise a BIG group. alas. Anyone know any good camping spots in NSW? GC? or VIC?

A one-legged father-of-78 is preparing for his next two marriages as he closes in on his target of having 100 children by 2015.

UAE national Daad Mohammed Murad Abdul Rahman, 60, has already had 15 brides, though he divorces wives to make way for new ones in order to stay within the legal limit of four. His youngest child, Tariq, is 20 days old and his oldest, Ayoob, is 36. And he has more babies on the way from two of his three current wives.

Daad Mohammed lost a leg in a road accident and plans to have an artificial limb fitted in Jaipur in India – and while there he hopes to find one of his new brides. One more has already been lined up in Baluchistan, Pakistan.

“In 2015 I will be 68 years old and will have 100 children,” he said. “After that I will stop marrying. I have to have at least three more marriages to hit the century.

“Two of my wives are pregnant and they will give birth within two months. Tariq was delivered by my wife Mariam. He is healthy and happy and will have two more brothers or sisters soon. And I am also happy because Allah is giving me more children.” The retired truck-driver, policeman and soldier has two other babies – fourmonth-old Alma and eightmonth-old Sara.

Two other children, Adnan and Sulaiman, are under two years old. His wives and ex wives include Bedouins from the UAE plus women from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran and Oman. They live in Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Daad Mohammed, whose home is in Al Bustan, Ajman, spends time with each of them and has a family get together every Friday.

He is head of possibly the largest single UAE dynasty with 127 members, including 49 grandchildren, and has 15 houses. Two of his wives have died. Now he is going to have the same type of artificial limb – known as the Jaipur foot – that Indian dancer Sudha Chandran uses.

“After Ramadan, I will go to Jaipur to get an artificial leg and marry a beautiful Rajasthani girl,” he told Emirates Today. “I have had seven Indian brides.

“At present I use a crutch to move around. I am told that the Jaipur foot works better than other artificial limbs.” Daad Mohammed said he received generous support from the Ajman Government, including houses and cash. He was paid a military pension of Dh24,000 a month by the Abu Dhabi Government.

“Even though my family is big, I don’t have any problem managing the budget,” he said. “If I buy fish for the entire family I have to spend a minimum of Dh500 per day. If the menu includes mutton at least Dh1,000 per day is required, and that’s just for the meat.” And despite having so many offspring he does not overlook the vital duty of any dad. He added: “I take care of their requirements – and pay pocket money to each and every child.”

So, the fun part of the day was participating "illegally" in muckup. Anna and i "found" some vaseline and covered the hand-rails going up the steps with it. Priceless. It kept us amused, before we realised that there were security camera's watching us...and we bailed.

but seriously...i have endured many MANY years of muckup, even having a penis drawn on my face in permanent marker for the sick satisfaction of one day getting my own back. So it seems, i and the majority of the cohort have suffered waterbombs, permanent marker, flour bombs...vaseline on hand-rails (mwahahaha) and countless other degrading...and (at times) hilarious acts. Stupid mrs whore...i mean...moore, has removed any of this. They told us today that "we had been allowed to wear our uniforms as a fun part of muckup", no offence...it wasn't even muckup. the only good part was seeing the younger kids faces pale when they saw us in summer uniforms, as they thought they had worn the wrong uniform to school.

other than that. none.

how i would love to egg the headmistresses car. bloody jaguar.

I have had an interesting holiday actually, broke up with my bf of 14 months, and wasn't upset in the least. The only part i miss...is the aspect of having a bf and the routine...but i stopped loving him a long time ago. And it's great, freedom... -yummy- i'm not bound down by a guy who has no respect.

Exciting News: :

I'm going free-range riding with a group of friends on the 7th/12. Awsome fun! So excited! I haven't been riding for a while now...or doing any sport because i stuffed up my foot...and i am now immobolised. Only 2 weeks left!!! .
so it'll be awesome, we're gonna play a game of tag...awesome fun! whee! Hopefully i get to ride my favouritist pony Ruben or Noble. yay!
It'll be mad fun! Will take camera...so those who watch my space (the few of you) look out for some action shots.
