My only reservation is that jeez, Green Day is overly political and overly blatant about it the album. It's like Billy Joe's shouting on his soap box with background music. Also, it's pretty refined Green Day-style stuff, but I don't think they branch out enough into other types of music. I mean, it's not like there's a law that says "NO! You started off making this kind of music and now that's the only kind you can make!" I like how they used violins in a bunch of songs- they should do that more. "Peacemaker" was my favorite because the sound was less typical from them and it reminds me of Kill Bill. However, for shame Green Day, sticking together 2 songs in a row with slow, ballad-like intros then predictably going into your pop-punk "rah-rah" rest of the song ("Viva la Gloria" and "Before the Lobotomy").

Anyway, sorry about my rant- has anyone heard it yet?

And I recently went to a Fratellis concert and my word- they were F*CKIN' BRILLIANT!!! (as they would say- they "cuss like soldiers"!)
But yea, seriously they were amazing and did an amazing job with all 18 songs they played.
I couldn't have asked for a better concert 'cause they didn't need all the pizazz and glitz of other concerts- they just had good lighting and outstanding musical talent!

Basically, it's how Marvel are being dicks to Edward Norton and not giving him credit where credit is due. It's also trying to fault him on being pissed at them and for being a perfectionist.
I have a big "Eff to the You" to say to anyone who gives Norton this crap because let's face it, the man's a seriously talented actor and a very good director and not a one of his movies has ever been a disappointment. It'd be a different thing if the man sucked at his job, but it's far from the case; and who wouldn't be pissed if they contributed to a big film, even in a small way, and weren't credited for everything they did?
Marvel and it's money-grubbing paws can kiss my ass- I'm on Team Norton!

Anyway, I've decided Edward Norton is my favorite actor (this was decided before my friend told me all about The Hulk fiasco) and so I've been familiarizing myself with his body of work.
So far I've seen (in order):
Death to Smoochy
Fight Club
The Incredible Hulk
Keeping the Faith
Primal Fear

I only had this revelation right before seeing The Hulk, so I haven't seen that many so far. =\
But Keeping the Faith, a romantic comedy directed and co-starring Norton, is absolutely adorable! I was pleasantly surprised seeing as though I hate most romantic comedies for they make me gag at their cheesy and all too similar plots. So yea, this one was cute and pretty funny- Ed Norton and Ben Stiller are an unlikely pair, but they have great on-screen chemistry! See it!

Oh wow though- Primal Fear. One amazing film. The very unsettling ending left me speechless and dazzled. Richard Gere is a great actor and all, but Norton is the one that really makes the movie. No wonder this was the performance that jump-started his career- he was excellent, absolutely superb. GO. SEE. IT. NOW.



He's seriously sex on legs.

All forms of media are the same. Artwork is the same as film is the same as music is the same as fuckin' writing. They all tell some sort of goddamn story to the reader/viewer/listener, but I just noticed that with a lot of art I see I can't help but think to myself "who the fuck cares?" It can be a film with a shitty, over-dramatic story about someone I'm supposed to be sympathetic for but end up hating at the end, or it could be a drawing of someone I could care less about with a nondescript face leering back at me for no reason. Same with shitty music that shows nothing to the listener and ends up wasting a good 3 minutes of their life. Writing will waste even more time.
I've realized our media sucks because our content sucks.
You know why our content sucks?
Because we're all morons who can't understand any one of these things:
1) ourselves
2) the world we live in
3) each other

That's why these American anime fans cling on to crappy Japanese jokes that even the Japanese think suck and believe they're the new *insert beloved comedian here*.
That's why there's so much damn character art without rhyme, reason, and most of all thought.
That's why you get pussy's copying the same damn music from all the other popular bands to get themselves more fame and publicity.
And that's why anyone can write a crappy novel and claim they got this "divine inspiration" from a dream they had oh so long ago. If anyone's dreams are as coherent and make sense enough to inspire a book, give me their number. Or please don't- I don't really care all that much.

Some people are such crap. And it's okay if you're young, I mean, you're just starting to get to know society and yourself. But it's not okay if you're young and think you're such a deep person or you're so experienced and aged and know about everything, and tell this to every goddamn person you can like you're a Buddah. We can't create anything of value until we truly understand #'s 1, 2, and 3.

I don't know shit and I don't pretend like I know shit.

It's not self-deprecation, it's realization.

So remember Phil of the Future? Ever wonder what happened to the loveable Ricky Ullman? Don't wonder, he's off doing some indie films that remind me of Daniel Radcliffe and Equis.

But I've decided. Ricky(Raviv) Ullman has inspired me to draw a short graphic novel dedicated to those new legends and the ones I'm making up. It will feature Chuck Norris, Uncle Jesse, The Fonz, and the epic battle that could've been between Ricky Ullman and Zac Effing-ron! (Think about it, when Efron came, Phil of the Future was history! Seems there's only room for one TigerBeat heartthrob at Disney!)

I dunno when or how or where, but I will make this short story soon 'cause it would so totally kick ass.

But seriously, it was GREAT!!! I've been really getting pissed at LOST lately because it fails to make sense even now, but I think I've finally just said 'what the hell' and stopped caring about understanding the plot so long as I'm entertained for an hour. I saw them in concert the other day and I must say, they are incredible live!!! I really haven't been too into them lately, but that concert reminded me why I loved FOB so much!
The whole concert was such a show, it has to be my fav after Panic!'s concert!

Iono why, whenever I draw characters from something, I get oddly attached to them. But anyway, in commemoration I decided I shall draw an abridged manga for ASP It won't be any long work (hence "abridged"), but everyone will surely get the true gist of the novel that both me and Sparknotes.com seem to agree on! Hmmm, for some reason I've been overly obsessed with South Park; I can't imagine why, though getting randomly obsessed with things does happen to me often. I'll call it OCD-ing. These past couple of days I somehow relate to Tweek; I've been on caffeine and have even started saying "AHH! This is WAY too much pressure!!!" I think I'll post some fanart on Friday or something. But I dunno why some people don't think SP characters can't be drawn in other styles, I mean come on, it's okay to have them in anime-style as long as the characters retain their personalities. (i.e. don't give friggin' Cartman the same expression as Butters! lawl) So yeah, I'm done.
