WELCOME TO HANAKIMI-FANS CLUB !

lPlot Summary|

"My dream... is to see my idol, sano izumi, high jump!"

Feeling bored on a regular Sunday morning, Ashiya Mizuki browsed through the channels of her television, watching for nothing in particular, before something caught her eyeÂ a thirteen year old boy, just as old as herself, was about to jump over a bar that was much taller than he was. Curious, she watched on and thought for the first time, that someoneÂs Âflying formÂ could be so graceful and beautiful.

Completely captivated by his jump, she began collecting all and any information on him, even calling up the broadcasting station for any information on her new-found idol, Sano Izumi.

Determined to meet her idol and watch him high jump, Mizuki decides to study in Japan. However, Sano studies in an all-boys boarding school! In true shoujo fashion, this obviously did not deter our heroine at all. And so, Mizuki snapped her locks, packed her bags and left America to attend Ohsaka High School, all disguised as a boy.

Hanazakari no Kimitachi e tells of the many exciting and thrilling happenings during Mizuki's high school life. Afterall, it's no easy feat for a girl to remain safe in an all-boy's school. Mizuki must not let anyone discover her true identity, lest she gets expelled from the school. Not only that, little by little, Mizuki is falling for her high jump idol and is trapped between remaining as Sano's friend or exposing her true gender and risk the friendship that is so precious to her.

Cliche as it may sound, together with great drawing and light-heartedness, no shoujo fan should ever miss this very enjoyable manga which have brought readers laughter, tears and heartaches!

HELLO HELLLLLLLO~
well, just so you know, there were two hanakimi one-shots recently published in hanayume!!!
one is on the meeting between sano and nakatsu~
i've read the raws and it was honestly quite cute. haha, after you read it, you'll know why the two of them become such great buds. awww~
and the other one is on an event that occurred three days after mizuki left ohsaka gakuen.
i havent seen it so i dont really know...

anyways, there are groups that are interested in scanlating it...
buuut, none have scanlated it yet. DARN.
if i happen to find the chinese raws~ i'll be sure to translate and put up the chinese raws for you guys. (:

if you guys don't know already, there's a hanakimi special slated for release on the 12th of Oct!!! which is in a week's time!
woohooooooooo!

the storyline is centered around Valentine's day i think...
and it happens during ep7-8... well, once the translations come out, i'll put up the links for you guys... (:

Following a mostly different storyline than the manga, this live-action drama brought to us by Fuji TV sure lives up to its name as Hanazakari no Kimitachie, i.e. spontaneity in life! It also boasts quite a handful of uhh ikemens, I guess. Heh. The j-drama may overwhelm audiences at first with all the studentsÂ crazy antics and *gasp*, Sano IzumiÂs(Oguri Shun) super, over-the-roof aloofness, and *gasp gasp* a very different version of our beloved Umeda-sensei(Kamikawa Takaya). However, we soon spot something very much familiar to our hearts, our beloved comic-relief, Nakatsu Shuuichi(Ikuta Toma), and our very cute heroine Ashiya Mizuki(Horikita Maki)!
As the series goes on, those who follow closely to the comic will surely notice some adaptations from the comic, for example, the ohsaka gakuen cultural festival and the beauty pageant. Do note that the storyline has been tweaked and events have been jumbled up to suit the Japanese audience so donÂt be too shocked!
Although it did not really live up to every hanakimi-comic-fanÂs expectations, this light-hearted love-comedy is still a good watch. (:
