I drew a picture for someone's business card. He said he wanted it semi-cartoony/semi-realistic. I showed him a sketch, he said it looks great so far so I finished it, coloring it, the whole bit. Came up with a good pic. Sent it. He liked it a lot. Well, wife comes along and says no, it should be more realistic. GAH......... :pissed:

Frustrating since he said it looked good, and I spent a long time on the thing.

First off, I'd like to thank all you guys who said all the nice stuff on my latest drawing (posted yesterday). I drew yesterday for several hours. I'm sort of "warming up" you might say, after this horrible slump/burnout period. Man, it was nice to have a break and spin my wheels for a bit, but now I really am inspired to draw again. His character Pivots beat Felix in the final round of Winning is for Losers. I am so proud of Felix for making it that far. The battle was quite intense, and the final score was 162-134. So, Felix didn't get clobbered as bad as I thought he would =p

I loved WIFL for many reasons. Sure the competing was fun, but more importantly, I made a lot of new friends there. Many times, people who compete against one another there become very good friends when it's all said and done. That is probably the best part of WIFL for me. Pivots is an example here. In other news, I have the new Compozerz Page inked. I am shooting for Friday night to finish it up. If not then, definitely Saturday. Also, this month marks the 4-year anniversary of the Compozerz! I wasn't quite sure whether to make the "official" date April 2 (first drawing I ever did of them) or May 5 (first comic page was completed). But I decided to make it when the first drawing ever was done. I was sitting right here at my desk in Maps when I drew that. Wow, that was 4 years ago...:o Where is the time going?

I am gonna miss Rebecka so much. She was a fellow Felix Mendelssohn fan (that's kind of how we met). But she was a beautiful, kind, sweet, nice person.
