I guess I don't really want to work during summer (who does?!!), but I am a student after all, and so I need the money. But wait! It gets better! I'll also be studying math and physics this summer. Yey! Needless to say, this is NOT going to be the best summer ever for me.

Ok, glad that's out of my system. I thought it was time for an update, the last one was at christmas after all. And I wanted to check out how this journal skin thingy works. I can't use it fo course, as I don't have a sub, but I think that's ok. Afterall, the subscribers are paying for extra features.

About art, which is what this site is really all about, I guess there won't be all that much from me this summer. I have a lot of other things to do, and all my half-finnished stuff is up in Trondheim.

If anyone is interested in a comission or something like it though, just speak up and I'm sure we can arrange something.

And it's so good to see my friends and family again!
I have truly missed poking at my smaller siblings. They are so easy to scare!
AH! It is really too much fun! And they get so cranky too! Priceless.

And about drawing and art and stuff... I have done some traditional drawing lately.
A lot og cards and such. And I havent gotten around to scanning them yet.


In other news, my beautiful camera Canon EOS 450D died on me about a week back.
Luckely it was fixed in time for the hollyday, so I will probably be taking a LOT of pictures. My friends tend to give me the evil eye when i point the camera t them, but I ignore it. I don't think I will be posting much of it here thougt.

Anyway. I have just been a passive member for a long while now. So my december resolution is to draw. A lot. Why december you ask? Why, I'll tell you! Because I am actually a little realistic, and all the exams are in the beginning of december. Any major art exploring before that is strictly put off for gift-making.

I have been here for over a week now, and I'm staying another week.
The weather is obviously really nice, although at times it's a little bit too hot for my cold Norwegian blood.

I'm here at this awesome summer course. And before you ask, yes, it's school. But only 4 hours a day. The rest of the time I just have fun with 19 other students from around Europe.

I am pretty tired, because there are parties and stuff to do at night we only get between 2 and 5 hours of sleep every night. And after a week of this it's almost impossible to stay awake during lectures, but it's all good i guess.

Well. I have to go prepare some Norwegian food for the others to taste, so to whoever might reed this. Have a nice time wherever you are.

I start 7am (with means I have to get up at half past 5 every morning!!!) and work to 3pm. It's not that the job is hard to do, but there isn't much time to do what you're supposed to, and you're on your feet the whole frikkin' time.

So that's some of the reason why I haven't posted much lately. I'm too tired to draw much.

But I have some awesome ideas that I really want to get done, so there might be that I drag my but off the sofa and pick up the pencil...

It is the most stressful time at school, and what do I do? I give myself more work! Well... I guess it's not so much work as something I do for fun, but still. It's gonna end with me putting off all the important stuff to do the "just for fun"-projects I've got going...

So, yeah... If the title wasn't enough of a hint for you, I am now doing yet another 100 themes challenge. The first one can be found here: [link], and as you can see if you bother to check it out, it is far from finnished.

So why did I start on a new one? Well, I came over this after I had already started the first one, but I like the themes in this one better. I still plan on doing the old one... but at the same time as doing this new one... So I guess this will really be more of a 200 themes challenge. *Shudders* That's A LOT of drawings... Ah well.



The list of themes is in this journal, and even though the rules are the same, and I already wrote them in the last challenge journal, here they are again:

The "rules":
1) No timelimit, just take however long time you need
2) A picture can only have ONE theme, so to complete the challenge you basicly have to make a 100 pics.

OK. Wow. The last few weeks have been insane! So much has happened, I don't even know where to start! I think I might just have to sum it up, because otherwise this journal would probably be longer then the complete works of tax laws (and God knows there are a lot of those tax laws!).

So I guess I sould just start at the beginning.
First of all, I got accepted to my first-choise university, at the program i desired too.
That meant I had to move about 650 kilometers north of Skien, wich is where I grew up.
This means that if i want to go home I can look forward to 9-12 houres on a train. That is a looong time sitting still.

So I moved up here (Trondheim, that is to say) about two weeks ago, and it is different from Skien in several ways.
1. It rains a lot, (almost) every day in fact
2. It is light outside longer up here, at least in the summer. The winters will be very
dark.
3. I now live in a small room with a bed and an even smaller bathroom, and I share a
combined kitshen and livingroom with 6 other youths that I don't really know yet.
4. I have to cook my own food, and manage to drag my but out of bed every morning.

It's really OK though. I like it here, and so far all the people in my class and in my building seem nice. And the studies are kinda fun too. I go to a program called "Industial design", so I get to draw alot, and come up with ideas. The best part though is that I get to make the things I design. We have a workshop in our building at campus, and next week, we're going to learn how to use all the aquipment.

Well I think that was about it...
No wait, thats right! I am now 19 years old!

I know, I know, it has been ages since I updated my journal. Sorry about that. I really should update more often. (Not that I think anyone actually reads this thing, but it’s nice with some change every once in a while)

Oh, and I think my English is a bit rusty, so please excuse that. Or better yet, ignore it


I have been quite unactive at deviantART these past few weeks (*cough cough* months), but I have been really busy! OK, so I have no excuse. I’m just right out lazy. I would promise to update more often in the future, but knowing myself I’m not going to stop being lazy any time soon.

I do have some rather exciting new ideas in my head though, so maybe I will be posting some new stuff soon after all… Who knows!
And I do have a small hope that I will write more journals too. I mean, how can I not, having acquired such a fancy headline and all!

To change the topic, it has been POURING down nearly all summer where I live, and it’s driving me crazy! Not that I have anything against rain really. I know it’s important for the plants and all, but a frikkin’ flood shouldn’t be necessary!
Every time it looked like the sun might come by for a visit, the weather would reach a whole new level of rainy-ness.

But I guess I’m gonna have to get used to it. You se, I might be moving in a few weeks. How is it possible not knowing if you’re going to move or not in only a few weeks you ask? Why I’ll tell you. You see, I don’t know whether I’ll get accepted to the school I’ve applied to or not. I’ll know in about 10 days. I’m quite nerves actually. The whole situation is gnawing on my brain.

The school is quite far north in Norway, and right now I live almost as south as you can get without leaving the country, so it's far from my "old-to-be" home. About 10 houres with train if anyone should be interested in that rather worthless piece of information.

Anyway, I think I mentioned earlier that I would have to get used to rain… The cause of that would be that where I might be moving is one of the two cities in Norway where it’s said to rain the most. So there.

It’s all kind of exciting though. I’ll be living (if I get in) with 5 complete strangers (well… 4 if ~Elayne88 gets a spot in her school of choice too). Can’t wait!

Wow, what was an endlessly long rant! Sorry. I’ll stop now. Anyone still reading have earned my deepest respect. Don't think I would have bothered.

I found this other 100 themes challenge at DA though... I haven't started on the first yet, but I think I like the themes in the other one better. It's probably not a good idea to set a goal for 200 drawings, but I'm thinking of doing it anyway.

Christmas eve is actually kind of bizarre if you think about it...
You get together with all of the more or less crazy family members you normally don't see, and you drag a frikkin tree into the livingroom, and then try to camuflage the fact that there is a tree inside of the house by putting all sorts of glitter and pretty silverbells and such on it. Ofcourse that doesn't work... But it's nice though. There is something calming about that pinesmell.

This christmas we were 10 people celebrating in my house. That's a lot of people. A little hektic, but still, very nice. And a little girl at 3 running around "assisting" everyone in opening their presants.

I got the little mermaid dvd for christmas! That is such a sweet movie! It is ages since the last time I saw it, so I'm looking forward to waching it soon

Anyway... It's been a while since i updated my journal, so I figured this was as good a time as any to write a new one. Don't really know what to write though... But I'm not gonna be sad because of it. It is after all an excelent excuse for staying inside and not doing anything at all! (well, mabye not for not doing anything useful, but at least for staying inside ^^). It is wery cosy if you think about it!
I'm a little bit boared today, but I guess you have to be that sometimes too. I actually like when time passes really slowly (except at school. there time can pas as fast as it likes, as long as it's fast)

Looking forward to christmas though! It is in my opinion the best hollyday of the year. Of course summerbrake is'n included, cause you can't really compare the two. The christmastimes are so full of wonderfull smells! And there is all that secresy with pesants and all. I love that It's so much fun finding out what you're gonna give everyone! I think I'm gonna make some candy and give away this year... Personally I love candy (in small amountes at a time), so naturally I expect everyone else to do so aswell I mean, who the heck doesn't like candy???

But I like fall alot aswell. It's so beutiful with all the pretty colors and the clear blue sky! Hmm... I guess I like early fall then. Not the time that boarders on winter. Thats just gloomy. Wayting for the snow to come and everything is gray.. Well, anyhow. I feel I need to draw a bit now. (My left hand has been ithsing all morning ^^)
