1.) What do you want to be when you grow up?

I've always bounced back and forth between wanting to be a comic-illustrator or an animator. Making comics always actually appealed to me more because I'd get to be more in charge and do my own stories--but the more I look into animation, the more it becomes more and more fascinating to me, and then when CalArts accepted me, I was like "OK, ANIMATION IT IS!" I think illustration will always be my first love, though. I just want to be a story teller!

2.) Are you going to draw anything other than commissions this summer?

I actually am beginning to write some ideas for a short comic or two I'd like to do. I'd like to make a short comic about Fumio and his kappa family, and also a short comic about Kin and his parent's history. And then a third idea is kind of a funny one ive had in my head for a while about a geisha, a ninja, and a samurai, though I'm not sure if I want to make that a comic or a series of illustrations.
