As this is the event's 10th anniversary, expect a bigger location which is the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (comparable to the Philippines' SMX, Singapore's Suntec or Thailand's BITEC). There will be much more rooms for everyone, especially after last year's cramped locale. Shimokawa Mikuni & Ceui will also be part of the event, so that's a plus point for the attendees!

I can't believe it has been a week since my return from Sydney. The entire trip was, simply put, incredible.

Not only did I get to meet up with friends I have made here in DeviantArt, but I was also invited to do a panel on my works during the Sydney Animania event. Whoa, what a crazy period this has been. Photoshoots, events, outings, crazy adventures with friends... the list goes on. There's really not much time for myself.

In the middle of all these, I will be making a trip back to KL this Friday night. Going to spend a week there, mainly to have a few photoshoots with friends (some of which were in the planning for quite some time), as well as to clear up the mess of my room. :X

Personally I think that the media and the public have a very different view about the cosplay community in comparison to those directly involved in the hobby. I guess this is because the hobby has only been in the limelight for the past few years, and not everyone is familiar with the activities involved.

Only 6 months left...

What it means is that I will be moving back to Malaysia after having resided here in Singapore for nearly 20 years. I spent a major part of my life here, making some pretty awesome friends and connections which would be hard to replace anywhere else in the world. I'll still be dropping by Singapore once in a while, maybe for the major yearly events like AFA or Cosfest.

And yes, for those who haven't known about it yet, I am heading down to Sydney this September to attend Animania. Host to the WCS Finals for the year 2011, it would be my first Aussie event that I am going for. My first time to Down Under as well!

I have finally gotten the chance to blog about the epic trip I had the previous weekend. Well, simply put it was awesome. Never had a great deal of fun in a long while.

At the spur of the moment (as well as obtaining an invite from the organisers of Ozine Fest 2010 to become one of the cosplay competition judges), I made a trip to the country of Philippines. It was to be my first time there, so everything looks different to me. But at the same time, there's a lot of similar things going on as well.

Spent a few hours traveling to Malacca to attend the last GACC event held at the Multimedia University (MMU). Barely half a year has passed since the previous event and I was looking forward to some pretty fun-filled activities...

Hexlord was a nickname that I created 13 years ago during the old 2.5D FPS craze (think of DOOM, Duke Nukem etc). Thanks to my obsession with the game Hexen, that name has stuck with me ever since!

The whole incident was really an eye opener for me because of the many differing views on the hobby itself. I myself had a mixed feeling about the matter, mainly because I personally felt that many of the issues could have been easily avoided had they been tackled earlier and with tact. But kudos for at least trying to answer most of the queries made by both cosplayers and photographers from all over the world.
