Let's see what has happened so far this year? Hmm... not much. Not a lot going on in cosplay other than the growing number of characters I want to make. I completed my CCNA courses. I'm finally graduated from highschool. I turned 18. My brother finally moved out * sad ;_; * to live with his girlfriend and her sister.

I'm now going with the flow, sitting around watching anime, amidst looking for employment. That in itself is a chore. I've sent in tons of appz and even had many interviews. No one is hiring me... at all. Sure they are hiring, but they hire those with work experience. How am I supposed to acquire said work experience if that is the case? I refuse to work fast food.

Ummmm.. .. .. ... EV training Pokemon is fun. I miscount alot, but it's not a big deal. My Starmie is uber fast and really strong in it's Speed and Sp.Atk. Up next I'm training a Blissey in Defense and upping it's HP. It'll be formidable. >

3-1/2 yards of red ribknit @ 6.99/yd turned into 2.79/yd. It must've been on a major sale or something. I also saved $7~ on 4-1/2 yards white cotton twill. With everything I bought, it turned out to be $32~ total. Much estaticness.

So maybe I wont finish in time for s winter contest. Who knows? I have three days to write, so Ill be woking on it.... just as soon as I finish a few episodes of Monster.

The case study is done. Well I didnt finish, but the deadline has passed. It feels like 95 pounds have been lifted, but 5 remains for wonder what grade I will get.

I loved v4. I had no idea when v5 was coming, so this was a suprise. So I want to nitpick a few things real quick.

I think it resembles SheezyArt & Y!Gallery too much, and I liked the fact that v4 dA was unique.

The fonts above the devs and journal on our pages, could be downsized a tad.

I dont like the 4 Recent Deviation thumbnails idea. Id rather have a list of 6 and a small pic of the most recent. This one just looks tacky. Same with the presentations of your faves.

Gallery viewing is decent, but still meh.

The header with your stats. More organization please!


Ok things I particularily like.

The little guy in the top right hand corner with the green light. It can tell you if the people you watch are online or not. Quick access to their pages! Finally!

The entering of journals and checking messages have seemed to stayed the same.

Email, AIM, and Yahoo information under the ID, nice. Except the email. DX

You can view your old devious comments from the very beginning on your page.

Horray the page doesnt change when you fave something.

Individual dev viewing, its gotten better, and full-viewing is quick.


Thats about all I have to say. Its going to take about three weeks to get used to, much like how AnimeNation Forums were suddenly upgraded in 2004 without warning. That was a shock to us all. And rumor has it, its going to change again soon. T_T ]]> ~hieikurama27

Thursday, I found the perfect shirt for a Nami cosplay. (One Piece) For her Water 7 outfit. Im excited about that. All I have to do is make the sleeves shorter on it. Then get a tie and paint dots on it, make a skirt and buy a wig. Oh, and the shoes. Those will take some planning or intense shoestore searching.

Lesse, what else is going on... not much. Ive been watching tons and tons of anime. Alot of the 2006 titles arent holding my interest much. But some are awesome though. Welcome to the NHK, The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, NANA, Air Gear, and others are great series.

School is going to suck next year. Senior(finally!), band, Cisco, English class, unfavorable guidance dean... etc. Please please please let Semester 3 & 4 of Cisco be a bit easier than 1 & 2 were. The english class I should have taken last year, but I took vocational instead. I got rid of this dean after middle school but she followed me to highschool! 6 years is more than enough.

I was never a big fan of Dr. Pepper. Now, I like it. Not as much as Mountain Dew, but its good. *drinks a Dr. Pepper*

Its the first official day of summer for me. I dont have to take any of my exams! And Im not attending Thursday. One more year, and Im out. X3 Ive turned in some appz to a few places, but Im hoping to get Best Buy since I know a couple people that work there. Either that or one of two fabric stores.

Other than getting a job, DDR/Gaming is the third most important thing on my mind. (second is One Piece and reading Yaoi) In spare time, Im trying out a few art techniques, in which I am not posting on dA until Im confident Id actually use them somehow.

Tomorrow is Hisoka's birthday, I think. And what a lucky (or unlucky) thing, yet somehow appropriate date. 6/6/06. Hisoka is quite deadly with his deck of cards. Its pretty funny, that however many years pass he will always be 26. XD

Not to forget, 6/6/06 is National Emo-Kid Beat Down Day. I have nothing against emo people. Hey, I even dont mind their style. I just thought the picture I found was funny in a way. [link]

Some people around me even brought up stuff about fear of terrorist attacks happening on such an evil day. I personally dont think it'll happen, but you cant help but pray for it to not. Because you never know what these twisted people are thinking.

One test day down, one to more to go. The ACTs were pretty easy, but I dont think I did well on the Science part. I hate graphs, and didnt, halfway, bother to analyze them properly. Last week I picked four colleges to send the scores to, and for fun I picked Nihon/Tokyo U as my last option. Tomorrow is the PSAEs, which I hope I dont have to write an essay for.

Im kinda shaky, that Ill miss my time to take my final, of configuring the five routers in 20 minutes. I dont have CACC Friday or tomorrow either. I admit, Ive read yaoi from 9pm to 4:30am last night.... again. Curse you, my new Mad IRC Skillz. So I got quite a pile of scanlations, added to my already ginormous yaoi collection. So I woke up this morning after a brief BL dream about characters I havent read about before. Lo and Behold, an original story. Anyways, I really shouldnt be drawing or anything. I have a 3 - 5 page paper due next Friday, and I havent gotten a single new notecard finished. So, Im gonna work on that before anything else. Im such a slacker, trying to enjoy my spring break.

Idea Storage for 2007:

I was thinking it'd be so cool if I made a sleevless FMA jacket, and a long skirt (down to the ankles) that looked like the lower half of the uniform. It might be acceptable for a formal affair, like ACen's Charity Ball if they have one in 2007.

Ive heard and seen (in pictures) that there are alot of Edward Elric cosplays at many conventions. I wonder why no one has had the idea yet (to my knowledge, no one) to make the FAKE Edo that is in The Broken Angel ps2 game. Its a transmuted walking doll (decoy) that looks like Edo, but his jacket is like a lighter shaded maroon? with the word FAKE on the back of it instead of the snake/cross/crown/wingy symbol. The hair is like a washed out dark yellow. That'd be a change of sight for future cons.

I watched 3 One Piece movies in a row, to celebrate start of Spring Break. The short omake episodes are great. I loved the Jango one, Jango's Dance Celebration. Soccer King was pretty cool too. XD

-I bought some gold fabric for the epaulettes. I can sew on the sleeves after I make them now.
-Following that, I can then get to work on the front design. Need silver trim. The store didnt have any grey in a bright color.
-I thought of this awesome idea. Ive seen many FMA military cosplays where the silver belt is always sagging. I designed a way to prevent that. It will be noticable, but it'd be worth it not to sag. Plus it'll look really cool anyways. See the sketch pic.
-I dont think Ill have decent boots, IF I finish in time for either con. Though Im not sure if I will finish before then. *looks at counter* If not, oh well, its not a big deal to me.

I finally got around to watching Rozen Maiden yesterday. Ive had it on disc for a good while. I love it, it was too cute. Cant wait til Traumend is finished downloading. I wonder if there's a manga...?? Also finished Hikaru no Go too. I love anime marathons on the weekends.

School was closed again today, but we FINALLY have school tomorrow. The parade has been moved to the 25th, so it gives us more time to practice marching and the song. *whew*

11:22am:
We had a disaster hit town. @_@ Tornados hit big time throughout our city and the Midwest. One touched down about a mile or less from my house, and two or so others around the vicinity of Springfield.

Me and my family went to the basement around 7:45pm and lost power about 10 min after. We had a scanner/radio with us, and you cant believe the extent of damage we heard the police talked about.

One lady fell down some stairs and broke a hip; a house was blown away and the old lady couldnt be found; powerlines fell on cars; power poles and streetlights on the pavement; my schools gym is flooding from water dripping from the ceiling; and Gordman's store had their roof torn and blown away. Needless to say I dont have school or CACC today.

Came back up around 9:30pm or so. My dad has a generator so we watched the news to view more damage. Slept til about 1:35am, and ANOTHER tornado touched down near Loami, about 10 mi(?) away. Back down to the basement for another 50 min. Then I got to sleep after the warning expired.

The power had finally turned back on just an hour or so ago (10am~).

Just found out on the news, the Asian Food Market was completely destroyed.

6:50pm: (update)
Alot of the school buses were damaged, so school is cancelled yet again for Tuesday. Goodnews, no more storms tonight. But there are some tornados spawning in Alabama and Mississippi.

One thing that just seems to make me feel a bit irked, is the governor. I saw Blagojevich on the news this evening. He had to come all the way from Chicago to check out the damage aerial and on foot to see if we could get federal funding(?)/help. Its just a waste of time to travel. Just stay in the mansion downtown for goodness sakes. One thing, Im not voting for him next election. (I cant vote but whatever)

I saw that my Uncle's friend's business's mascot lost its head. Theres a giant statue of a guy, thats colorful, in front of Lauterbach's place, and the head and flag was torn away. They found it though.

Not really. It sounds silly, but Im afraid to work on my fma military jacket. I cut out the pattern for it the other night, and it looks evil. It must take alot of altering, and Im worried Ill mess up since Ive never encountered this amount of altering before. Call me crazy, but Id hate to waste fabric and stuff. *looks over at the perfect blue bottom-weight I found [clings ><]*

When Im finished, Ill try my best to get pictures of it, me modelling. *maybe* D= If not, you'd definitely see photos without.

I bought some blue bottom-weight fabric for Riza Hawkeye, sadly only enough to make the jacket. Ill make a second trip for the pants, trim, and 'butt-cape' fabric. XD I love coupons.

And I hope I get a phonecall with good news from JoAnn Fabrics in a couple of days. *finally turned in application*

._. Im really bored. There's been nothing to do today. Nothing except watching Zettai Shonen. Its a really slow and interestingly plain anime, but its soo good. I cant explain it, and I cant stop watching it. Currently on episode 15, and Im beginning to wonder if any of the characters from eps 1 - 12 will show up. Sakurawa did finally, so I guess so.

Anyways, I got some patterns for my cosplay yesterday... and an application! Yay! One pattern for Riza Hawkeye's uniform jacket, and another for Ayame's trenchcoat-thing. I was looking at the blue twill for Riza.... and it was $7/yard!! Never realized how much twill or bottom-weight was! Well, that's what a job is for, to get money..for twill. XD

I feel better finally, and I dont feel like my throat, jaw, and gums are gonna bust open anymore. (though I havent mentioned it here yet)

Ok, rambles are done, here's a checklist for tonight:

Im aware of the fact that I talk too much about cosplay and stuff.. anywhere. Well, here goes again:

I was sitting in class after a quiz *kills quiz* reading the Winter edition of Takuhai (Tokyopop's preview mag) that just came in the mail. There was a chapter preview of volume 13 of Fruits Basket, chapter 72. I flip the page from another and I see Ayame Sohma. He had the most beautiful outfit on I've ever seen. I was too lazy to scan the magazine, so I downloaded the scanlation chapter. Bad quality, but its cleaner in the book gomen~
