Salutations young ones, your amiable host Lacuna is here to bring you your updates for the week. I must thoroughly apologize for my regrettable state two weeks ago...that was simply unacceptable. Suffice to say the likelihood of such an event happening again in the foreseeable future is quite slim, after I ordered my pets to decimate the distillery. I trust that my fiance' did an adequate enough job. The time tutor seems to be really excited, his brightly patterned tail swinging side to side making an audible SWISH as it cuts through the air. Poking out of his white hair his ears moved up and down also indicating a high level of excitement. For a moment he didn't do anything, his silver eyes flashed over the room before he spoke loudly.

It had been a long time since the host had actually been seen -- months, even, but his appearance looked about the same. He was missing his scarf, which had ditched him in his hiatus, and he looked a thinner and less healthy. The host is still curiously missing, as he's been for the last couple of months. While there's no physical Drake around to welcome the new guests into the mansion, signs of his shadowmancy are everywhere: the usual welcome banners are being hung up in all necessary entrances by shadow tendrils, and from the shadows are fluttering pieces of paper with legal and Hold Harmless contracts. Despite his functional illiteracy, it seems like Drake's always been the one to prepare the legal papers, which is kind of frightening when one thinks about it.

We're thinking in a new system, which include the use of the levels again (do you remember those?), and also use the forum where there will be activities for each level, so you'll have always something to do and you'll be able to do it anytime you want. We'll still have activities like we do right now though.

Actually, Drake doesn't say anything. He stands there for a long couple of seconds, staring at the guests who have gathered in the mansion foyer for the weekly meeting about the mansion. Generally a host or tutor stands at the top of the Stairs That Go To Nowhere and instructs everyone about what's going on, but he doesn't seem to be... all there, really. His gaze is off focused somewhere, and even for the people in that direction, it's more like he's looking through you, and not at you.

Good evening, guests. I'm Everett, and I'll be giving your weekly update. The doors of the mansion are drawing nearer to opening, and with this in mind, those of you who enjoy your presence here might want to participate in the games and antics of the mansion-- it tends to spit guests out when it hasn't seen them for a while. In warming things up for the new guests there have been a fair few forced adventures, and it's been working to be hospitable; which, if you're aware, often ends up in violence. It tends to calm down when it sees new friendships being formed, though, so if you have to in a dangerous situation, fake it.

Huh! Well, what do you know, we survived the year! I have officially been living in the mansion for more than a year now - I showed up on the banks of Despiral Lake with Bart on December 28, and both of us enrolled on January 15. Speaking of that day, that's when the mansion is going to be opening its doors to new members again. Are there any intruders out there eagerly awaiting said opening? Good evening. The weather's been setting in a bit more, and I'm sure most of you have noticed how cold it's getting. Provided you are of the weaker skinned variety of guest, please bundle up appropriately. Injuries are common around this time of year... ah, I suppose they're really just common any time of year, but wearing heavy clothes will help with colds and illnesses of the likes.

Since the first snowfall last week the snow's been picking up pretty heavily and erratically, so be careful while you're outside the mansion. Well, looks like the mansion's having a grand old time messing around with all of us. In case you didn't notice waking up butt naked this morning (or... couldn't find your clothes if this is normal for you...), all of the clothes have gone missing. But there was a package delivered to your tower room door with some clothing in it. Problem is, it's not yours.

Someone else has your clothes, and you have someone else's. You're going to have to walk around in the other person's clothes (which were magically fitted to your size. Thanks mansion.) and look for the person wearing yours. Only then can you find your clothes.

Good evening. I wanted, first of all, commend those who have come to the infirmary to help out, even if it was only for the sake of appeasing the mansion. There's been an emergency regarding the infirmary. While Everett, the Time Tower members, and the Void tower members were making decent progress in clearing up the mess and refurbishing the new infirmary, it seems like... the mansion is extremely angry that Light Tower and Moon Tower have been sitting on their laurels the whole time, not contributing a single hand of effort in the clean up.

Ah... Good afternoon. I'm here today to address an issue I'm sure many of you (the accident-prone ones in particular) have already noticed. The infirmary in the mansion that was previously shut down is barely functioning at the moment. We have approximately ten inches of floor space that is properly cleaned enough to see the floor colour. Various boxes (of medicine, one would hope) are unlabelled and lying around everywhere, every bed is splattered with crusted old blood and just last week we had an incident with one of the gurneys flipping itself over on a patient.
