        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ Hallo Hybrid Anthro~ Hope we're all well this merry evening.<br />I have a question to th'members!<br /><br />So far I have been accepting pictures of "tailmouth" characters - Well, ones that say that they are tailmouth/another animal.<br />But I'm having a bit of trouble in the department of whether they actually count as hybrid anthro.<br /><br />Tailmouths, as far as I can see, are just regular anthros with a mouth that has a tail. I understand that they're their own species, but would this fall along the lines of "angelic wolf" or "demonic cat" which we don't currently accept? "Tailmouthed tiger"?<br /><br />I fully accept fantasy/mythology creatures into the group, so a grypho ]]></media:text>

        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ Copyrighted hybrid characters<br /><br />I want to ask members and watchers their opinion on the inclusion of copyrighted hybrid species, specifically cabbits (cat-rabbits from the Tenchi Muyo series) ottsels (otter-weasels from the Jak and Daxter series), and certain NeoPets species.<br /><br />Cabbits as a concept aren't horribly unique, and there are a few feline/lapine crossbreeds in the group already, including one or two that even refer to the character by that moniker. However, the group does have rules against "altered" versions of existing characters, and cabbits as they appear in the Tenchi Muyo universe don't have anthro forms [that I'm aware of] whic ]]></media:text>

        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ It's a little too difficult to keep track of which submissions are mythical creatures or not, and people keep trying to submit dragon hybrids and such even though the rules say not to. Getting rid of the mythical folders means one less mistake for members to make, less time for the group staff dealing with those mistakes, the distinction between what is or isn't a mythical species doesn't matter anymore, and a little less "folder overload" for people browsing the group. The folders will remain present and visible - though submissions to these folders has already been closed - while some pending requests for various artists to allow their art  ]]></media:text>

The purpose of this folder is to hold characters that do not fall into the traditional one-or-the-other "binary" classifications of male or female.         <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ I'm going to be creating a new folder for characters that do not fall completely into either the "male" or "female" classifications. This folder will be intended to hold hermaphrodite, genderless, ambiguously gendered, and (at the artist's discretion) transgendered* characters.<br /><br />Currently, the only folder that non-male/female characters fit into is the "Featured" folder. And while I don't want to deny anyone the exposure that comes with having their artwork in the Featured folder, at the same time I don't want it to become a dump folder for art that doesn't fit anywhere else.<br /><br />The question remains, what to call the new folder? These images are generally small and made for a specific person. Simple images featuring the character's name may still go into other folders if they aren't meant to be used to identify an actual person offline or account online.<br /><br />Prompts<br />:devhybridanthro: still has a pretty small population, so we haven't got enough of a userbase to run contests with. But that's no reason not to have any fun, so for now the "prompts" folder will be used to hold submissions.         <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ Hello, :devhybridanthro: members! :wave:<br /><br />Today I figured I'd explain the purpose of the Mythical folders and why creatures of mythical heritage are making their way into the regular folders as well.<br /><br />The Mythical folders are for anthros who appear in mythology as they are. Gryphons and manticores are well established creatures of fantasy, but dragon/rabbit and unicorn/wolf hybrids are not, even though dragons and unicorns are mythical creatures.<br /><br />This doesn't mean the mythical folder is strictly limited to the exact incarnations of "real" mythical creatures. "Remixed" mythicals, such as a parrot/ocelot gryphon rather than an eagle/lion, are  ]]></media:text>
