I am very ashamed and displeased with myself currently. This past week our so has been very emotionally damaging for me on multiple levels. I'm not an emotive person, I never have been. So I can't really talk about it. I want things to be better for me but everything moves in one big cycle. The only way I can deal with it is to find some way to channel all this bad energy... but thinking about my situation only slows me down more.

I can tell my life is going to be pretty terrible for a while.

So a while ago i mentioned that it would be awesome to go to K-Con as talim from SCIV... well my brother also thought it would be awesome to go as Yun-seong (he's the only guy I asked who agreed to do so and with enthusiasm) which is also awesome because it's his first cosplay.

Still i'm ultra excited for the Talim and Yun-seong costumes. talims is coming along well but I will DEFINITELY NOT be wearing it outside the convention area. It's the skimpiest costume I've ever worn... TT_TT And my mom's eve excited for it. She says she's going to just hang around the convention area and stare at the crazies. (I love that woman)

How have you been? I am well. It's been almost 3 months since I started at PNCA and while I have found myself at Art School, I am unable to find time to post the art that I have created. It is unfortunate indeed, since there is such wonder I could be unveiling to the world as of now, as I type from this dimly lit computer lab. But do not worry, as Sakura-con is over and I have been given free time, to do things that i may find enjoyable-- such as uploading my year of work. And as final projects have been assigned, there is much I intend to display.

For one thing, going to school in POrtland is just awesome in general. Sure I have to leave my house at 6am 3 days out of the week, and it's freezing balls, but the City is gorgeous in the morning light. I ride the max into town with Rachie, and we try to catch the streetcar to school, even though it's usually faster to walk than to wait for the damn thing. That and it always smells like hobo urine.

I'm taking 18 credits this semester because obviously I am not productive enough (and I'm an idiot). Sure, nothing happens the first week, but if I drop off the face of the earth later in the spring, everyone will know why. So far I've discovered: The photoshop teacher is really awkward, the ADCS teacher is awesome, my art teacher's gay (and by that I do mean homosexual), people talk openly about their drug habits with the faculty, and my English class is full of idiots (which is semi good because I won't have to do any real work).

and there's this absolutely wonderful 3 hour gap in between my classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so usually I just wander the city or do homework (HA!) or something. But yeah, the next four years should go pretty well.

(and Louis Vuitton purses are ugly shit. I don't see why they hell anyone would pay so much for one)

on another note: it's my 19th which means absolutely nothing except that I got a serger. So this years cosplay will be even more awesome.

So I went to that Dir en Grey concert. I was in the second row, but I was surrounded by really terrible fangirls and whores... and the opening band was unforgivably awful. But it was well worth it. I got a guitar pick from Die. He threw it into the crowd and two girls trampled me trying to catch it, but I guess they dropped it and couldn't find it. That's Karma, bitches.

I only have 3 class periods left at clark then I'm transfefrring to PNCA for Spring semester. I'm quite excited for it. Now I really feel like I'm moving forward ^.^ And if my family pulls the same crap they did last time, I just might have to work full time until I can pay for everything myself.


and I'm not sure, but I fear I may have actually failed my English class. Hopefully I'm just being a pessimist and that's not the case.

And since I started working at the new toys r us building, we had job training today. Yay!(Seriously) We had a stroller model-off in the aisle. It was fierce. But it's sad that all the shelves are stocked now. I really like stocking shelves. (Seriously) I skipped breaks to stock shelves. Does that make me weird, or an over-achiever?

And Halloween is tomorrow! My absolute favorite holiday evar! It might be raining, and if it is, I call for a Nurse-walk across the mall. If it doesn't rain, hell, free candy is cool too.

This years cosplay: Sasha from Gaiaonline, Cynthia from Silent Hill 4, Merle from Escaflowne, and Kaolla Suu in a Towel from Love Hina... again, this year I took no pictures of myself. Lame.

And so many accomplishments this con! I won best filk (I was the only filk and I'm surprised as Hell that I wasn't disqualified for content). I got the higheset score for the written part of anime jeopardy, and owned the first round, but failed majorly in the second (whatever. most of the questions were about mechs and dub voice actors and I don't really care about that crap) And I won the dating game. awesome.

totally failed at cosplay and the mascot contest but I'll try harder next year.

but yeah, today I'll have to dive right into making a dress for my father's wedding this Saturday. I don't really want to, but I also don't want to be seen wearing the mariposa crap that my family will put me in.

*The Americanized version is basically infanticide on my part. The characters names are changed, The japanese letters are masked, the pages are flipped, thus the art is sometimes skewed. However, the dialogue is much more interesting than in the other versions.

In other news. I'm really surprised I haven't crashed and burned. In the past 4 days I've had 14 hours of sleep... and only one energy drink. And so far I've only felt like I was going to collapse once, and that was during PE. I'd worry that someone's been drugging my food, but haven't been eating much either.

we rode the train up to seattle, it was faster and smoother than the bus ride back but nowhere near as interesting.

we picked up our badges then rode the ferry out to Bainbridge to stay at the home of a family friend of one of our party members. She had an amazing house out on a lake with a balcony and the most comfortable beds in the world. We arrived in Seattle and it started SNOWING. (mind you, my cosplay is a swimsuit. I was freezing... I also looked like an idiot getting off a Seattle ferry wearing sandals and flower leis.

We went to Opening Ceremony, followed by the Amv room, followed by the Ali project panel. I have to say, those drag queen back-up dancers were HILARIOUS. Then we went straight to line up for the autograph session and we were first in line XD I screamed when one of the crossdressers mentioned his favorite series was Nadia so when I showed up for an autograph they were all saying "Nadia!" and they signed a poster for me.

I won Second place in the "name that anime tune" compettition and got a para^2 max CD.

we watched some comedy videos and then watched "This is Otakudom" which I haven't actually seen in years (can still recite most of it though)

Went to 'waji's in the morning, it was my first time at the Seattle Uwajimaya. Spent a lot of time in the Karaoke room then went to line up for the Ali project concert (2 hours early) Rebecca and I made some friends, a bunch of hard-core Ali-pro fans and we all played anime-themed party games together.

We were fourth in line for the concert but then they told us the first three rows were for industry people and staff only DX. I was so angry. Then Kethup Mania started playing but I wasn't too into them. I just wanted to see Aliproject! They said they would play one more song and I was like "YES!" then they came back for an encore and I was like "NO!!!! GO AWAY!!!" But then Ali project came on AND THE ENTIRE FIRST THREE ROWS SAT DOWN. I had a perfect view of the stage. Which was cool because I got to see the crossdressers dancing which they didn't show on the big screens ^^

went to the cosplay show but left in the middle. It sucked. It took forever to actually start the show, the audio was so bad that you couldn't understand any of the dialogue (only music), almost all of the skits were about death Note, and relied way too heavily on music as a 'lot.' The only one I enjoyed was the silent hill nurses performing the Lucky Star dance (seriously, those guys understand me.)

the next day we were going to go to the fish market but changed our minds and went to sing Karaoke. Made some karaoke friends and we all slaughtered 'simple & clean' so badly that hopefully no one will ever sing it again and it gets deleted from the Sakura-con music library.

yeah, it's 1am and I just had some zip fizz to help me pull a cosplay all-nighter so I feel great! And I've still got 2 energy drinks and a hyper itunes playlist to last me the rest of the night. I should be able to finish everything but fixing the Tear Grants costume by the time I go to school unless I can't find that clay I used to have or else I can't complete the Merle costume. DX

Oh! I don't think I ever mentioned what I'm going as! Okay, so me and ~thecomingofthestorm are totally going as:

I met the coolest exchange students yesterday (well 2 days ago since technically it's Monday). Kei and Yoshi and they were so nice and so cool and they actually wanted to talk to me about anime O.O that was weird for me. I didn't intende on talking to them about that kind of stuff at all! :3

I probably should be working instead of posting a journal but I just couldn't bear to be hunched over my machine for another second. That and I'll have Wednesday night and until 2pm on Thursday to work. (rest of the time is devoted to AP English projects. Grr.)

I can't believe how lucky I am! AHH! y'know, last year I saw MOVE, and in November I saw Nightwish, ... after this, I don't think I'll need to go to another concert in my life! Funny thing, after seeing move, I remember thinking "it'd be frickin' awesome if Ali project played at Sakura-con!"

So the discount tobacco shop ruined my dream. I was going to stand at the counter until midnight, then buy a strawberry cigar, but they closed around 9pm and I can't find them at any other gas station and like hell I'm gonna buy regular cigarettes.

9 notable/quirky/weird things about myself

1. I am a horible dancer. I have no rythm or coordination and I was the worst student in my dance class, but when I'm at home alone, I turn up my radio really loud and sing and dance in my kitchen.

2. I don't like when it's sunny or rainy. In fact, the only weather I like is fog and the time after it rains when there are puddles on the ground and the sky is maybe... 60% cloudy.

3. I am afraid of aliens.

4. I tend to be bubbly and energetic around my friends, but when they invite me to go places I usually find some lame excuse to stay home so I can be alone in my room. But then I get really angry at them and hold grudges when they don't invite me places.

5. I don't like water, so I have to substitute juice to avoid dehydration.

6. I no longer admit to being an anime fan, unless asked directly. (which is retarded because it's hard to hide your fandom when you dress like a fan)

7. ...running out of things... I eat the skin off of my bottom lip because when the sores heal, they feel bumpy and I don't like it. but then I have to be careful with salty foods TT.TT

8. um. Usually when I make clothes, I spend more time in front of the mirror admiring them than actually sewing them.

9. and I can't talk to anyone over 5'6 (with a few exceptions) because they make me nervous.(I'm not even 4'10")

it says I need to tag 9 people but I don't think I wan to bother any of my friends with that. just do it if you want.

I barely had a chance to start making presents for my friends when for some reason I felt, out of the good of my heart, I should voluntarily make costumes for the Church's Christmas pageant. So now I'm stuck making 8 children's costumes.

Why the Hell did I think that was a good idea? Did I not learn my lesson this summer when I made those SIX Tales of the Abyss costumes? I guess not.

And now all of a sudden, I don't have time to even apply for college. (I'm deciding betwen PNCA and PSU, for anyone who is curious). Hell, I shouldn't even have time to be posting this! I think I'm a little too ADD...

gyargh. It's summer all over again... except in a more concentrated dosage. I guess this'll be a week without sleep...

So anyway, looking through an isse of anime insider this week, I realized that I've gotten really out of the anime loop. I made a list, consisting of 22 anime that I had heard of, were popular, or I wanted to see, but still haven't. Now I am going through this list and watching each series in the easiest method possible,whether it be legal or not.

Unfortunately, I am one of about four people on the erth who still have dial-up internet (the other three are orphans in third world countries, but the peace corps will be supplying them with DSL shortly). With dial-up, it takes me 4.5 hours to watch a single episode of anime. This weekend, I watched 5.5 episodes of anime on my computer. And thank God for Clark Anime for bringing me Claymore so I don't have to wait for it on my compi.
