I live in a small village on the outer suburbs. Its so small that you can drive straight through it in about half a mile. Everybody knows everybody here...so much so that the day we moved in (approx. 10 years ago) my mum started a rumor (a harmless one I assure you) just to see how long it would take for her friend's mother-in-law (who also lives here) to hear it through the grapevine. The answer is six days. Its a lovely community and despite the occasional chavs stirring shit up and a notorious pub, its pretty safe.

...so why do I hate it?

Because its comfortable and its safe (for the most part-okay that psychopath with a hammer and the dog walker was just a one off!)

This may confuse you. I mean a happy safe place to live? Wtf is wrong with you?

Point is I am living in a perfectly comfortable existence right now. I have a job in the village, I live at home with my family, I pay my mum rent, I can hop on the train and visit my friends until I have saved enough money to buy a local property and a car. But I'm merely existing. Im not living.

Everyone needs a catalyst. An event that pushes you out of the comfort zones and forces us to do something different.

eg. I worked in a shop. I really wanted a job doing art but my lack of confidence and fear of rejection meant my portfolio wasn't being done. It was weak and still is and I knew I would not get a job doing concept art at this stage. Not yet. So I kept my head down and carried on existing.

The shop's profits fell and it had to be closed down. This acted as a catalyst for me. I needed money or else I would have had to mooch off my parents. I simply was forced to find a new job wherever I could, and either by fate or accident, an interview for part time office admin suddenly turned into an interview for full time illustrator. *punches air*

That was just one catalyst among many that has pushed me to do something with my life.

Another was my aunt getting engaged. If I am to be a bridesmaid I will have camera's shoved in my face. Everyone who knows me knows I hate having my picture taken, because every time I look at the results of said picture...a piece of my already delicate self esteem is chipped away just that little bit more. There is only a select few photographs of me that I can look at without bursting into tears.

The engagement pushed me into doing something about my self esteem.

Today is weigh day, and I've lost 2 stone and non of my jeans fit. I feel fucking fantastic! XD

...but I'm still living in this goddamn village!

You log on to DA to check your messages and find, that once again, that picture you can't stand, that picture you thought was alright at the time but is now completely obselete, that picture you tried as a "practice piece" or "first try at such and such technique",

...the one that completely lacks anatomy, perspective list goes on etc... yeah that picture has got yet another five faves...and you can't understand why.

You may think this is a rant about how my original artwork isn't getting any recognition. HA! I couldn't care less about that...

What I care about, is the fact that some of my old artwork which is quite obviously a big pile of amateur-ly painted bollocks, is spreading like a thick fungus accross the internets and to be honest its not the pieces of work I want people to spread around...they are EMBARASSING! If you're going to rip my work on photobucket or some spanish fan site I mean you could at least rip the stuff thats half decent! Please?

I really really want to remove them...all of them, it would however be a middle finger to all the people that faved them in the first place.

...on the plus side....since starting new healthy eating plan i've shed 7 pounds of lard in 2 weeks...and im seeing Harry Spotter tomorrow!!! XD

I had the honor and the privilege of viewing the new Star Trek movie at the 'not so local but more comfortable' cinema near me, on opening night. I had planned to write a journal about it... but not today.

First let me take you back a while. About a year ago.

Whilst watching heroes my dad wandered past and casually caught a glimpse of me grinning at Sylar as he decapitated some bloke for whatever reason he was doing it, I'm not sure, I was too busy imagining what Sylar would look like naked. Zachary Quinto was eventually the only thing that kept me watching Heroes... because I'd totally lost the plot. It was like 'Lost' where not even Sawyer could keep me watching it.

"He's playing Spock in the new Star Trek." My dad casually trilled.

Now before that sentence I had completely forgotten Star trek existed, so why? May I ask? Did that one sentence make me squeal like a five year old girl and start jumping up and down?

You might think it was the idea of seeing the Quinto with pointy ears in tight starfleet uniform. NO.

It was because when my dad joined the two words Star and Trek together in a single sentence, it triggered ten years of repressed memories to come back into existence.

I realised that, throughout my whole childhood...I had been a Trekkie. I had been introduced at an early age, where Star Wars and Star Trek kinda mingled into one epic programme and I was always looking out for Chewie or Han in Trek uniforms. (Anyone else notice that both Chewie and Worf wore those metal belt strap things across their chest? Coincidence much?)

I remembered watching Wrath of Karn and not understanding one thing that was said or who anybody was...but it had spaceships and aliens and I liked the bright colours (then again, I thought much the same thing about Alien when I first saw that...the bright colours were probably blood splatters.)

I remembered all my favorite characters from Next Generation like Data and Troy (I thought she was the most beautiful woman ever and I wanted to grow up to be like her!) and Worf (Klingons were by far my favourite species) and I even remember having a crush on Wesley Crusher (he was so adorable)! I had a few Star Trek books bought for me, you know, the Star Trek encyclopedia and annuals and stuff and me and my mate next door (he had ALL the toys) drew fanart of it all the time! How could I have forgotten about it?

"Dad?! Why did I stop watching it?" I was so confused, if I loved it so much why did I quit?

"Oh I let you watch First Contact when it came out." He said casually as some other dude on Heroes got diced. "The Borg Queen freaked you out so much you stopped watching it after that...you know when she took her head off and her spinal column came ou-"


"EW EW Fucking Borg Queen I hate her!!!! EW!" *runs away and hides*


I've spent the last year getting back into it... rewatched Next Generation again and loved it, watched Voyager and didn't love it, watched Deep Space Nine and loved Odo and Quark... watched the original and laughed cos Family Guy was spot on with its Bill Shatner jokes, watched Nemesis and found Tom Hardy was a sexy beast...

...but I still won't watch First Contact.

The dreaded birthday has once again snuck upon me like a ninja in the night...and once again my relatives are prodding and poking and asking me what I want.

I tell them the honest truth...a dvd would be fine. I will be happy with it, very happy, I love dvds, could be cheap second hand one I couldn't give a shit so long as its something I don't already own. (I already have two Matrix's and two of The Grudge)

A nice print or poster would be welcomed too, or any cheap random tat from that funky souvenir/decorative ornament shop down the road. (windchimes/dreamcatchers/big ass wooden carvings etc)

A trip around toysRus is always fun or Hobbycraft for some supplies or Borders for that Ghostrider graphic novel I've got my eye on!

But...no. That's not an option.

You see...I'm not a girly girl and my relatives, to their great credit, have been trying to turn me into a girly girl for the past decade and so far they have failed. They refuse to get me these things, because they "Aren't useful!" "You have too many dvd's already!" "I'm NOT buying you a naked african woodcarving forget it! *scoff*" "Don't you think you are too old for toys?!!!" "How can you READ that?! Its gross!"

I do not need more make-up, I do not need more jewelry (I already have a beautiful necklace from ~ellygator which my granny bought for my 21st), I do not want new clothes or shoes until the clothes or shoes I'm wearing... fall apart.

My parents want to get me something I need, something useful, something art related. Okay, but I'm a digital artist...for digital art you need decent equipment... decent equipment is fucking expensive.

With my own savings and negotiated contributions from the family. I can now afford to get myself the equipment, but I better make damn sure its the right equipment, and my decision making sucks ass.

Which brings me to the point of this journal.

Painting at home has become a frustrating chore and no longer provides me any joy.

My toshiba is falling apart, you cant see the letters on the keys anymore, there is a permanent fingerprint on the touchpad, a black bruise on the top right of the screen, it overheats to the point where my thighs are actually cooking, and has a nasty habit of crashing while I'm using photoshop. Its is- for lack of a better word- fucked.

I need a new computer.

My wacom intuos 3, is even older than the Tosh, I was 18 when I got it and now it has a crater of scratches, dents and cracks in the centre. My pen keeps catching on it. It stutters in the lower right hand corner and sometimes turns off...it is... knackered.

I need a new tablet.

Mac laptop (small and practical ^^) or imac (big and pleasurable O_O)?

An imac is big and beautiful and can play high def dvd's, games and generally get a lot of use. A laptop can be carted around easier (take on hols etc) but loses its magnificence for painting/dvds/games.

C) New wacom intuos3 (same as the old) or D) big ass cintiq12WX?

I dreamed of having a cintiq but I have never seen one in action, any of you seen one or have one? Would you recommend it?

My broken ankle is now fully healed and aside from awkward stiffness and a funny walk, its no longer painful! yay

I'd been working from home during the recovery process but now I'll be going back to the office. Will also be nice to have a social life again. All be it one that consists mainly of pub, drink, pool, guitar hero and a heavily pierced prettyboy called Ads.

Artwork has and will continue to be rare though, owing to the fact that I am so blindly in love with my work mac that the thought of returning home to my three yr old toshwiba and an even older tablet makes me cringe.

so I'm gonna buy a mac!

My PS2 (lovingly named "Pisstwo!") has finally coughed out its last dvd. The handset no longer responds and the remote is only useful for throwing across the room in an attempt to hit the restart button. The console is the best part of 5 yrs old and it has served its purpose well. RIP Pisstwo.

...but it needs to be replaced... trouble is... which one?

The PS3 (Pissthree) can play all my old games, but the x-box 360 is cheaper and can play all those star wars games that Sony neglected like KOTOR and Jedi academy, games I have longed to play but never could!

then theres Fable 2, exclusive only to 360...decisions decisions.


PC or Mac?

My old PC laptop works fine, sure it coughs a bit on world of warcraft and doesn't recognise Oblivion as a game or even a cd, but its my baby, and its been my companion for so many years...

...then i get a job and am tied via the wrists to a desk in front of an iMac for 7 hour sessions at a time...*gulp*

its so beautiful, i neeeeed one! But can i really be arsed blowing all my hard earned cash (dvdaddictionmoney) on something that serves only to make face go ^^ as I browse Deviantart?

As failure upon failure of art job applications became more frequent, my pessimistic nature decided to give up the search for now and settle for an office admin job instead, probably the only job I am qualified for that doesn't involve me stacking shelves, serving customers, and coming home smelling of sweat and beer!

I got through to interview but as expected didn't get the job.

But wait...why stop there...

A day later they call me back and after meeting with the lovely manager lady I have been offered a full time illustration job. I get to illustrate fairy tale stories and get paid well above minimum wage to do it! I am thrilled to bits!

On top of that two of my mates got engaged, another mate got a new baby brother, another mate got a full time job at TIGER 'FRICKIN' ASPECT and Im pregnant...with curry.

I don't know what happened, I just lost all my energy, became less and less active and couldn't even be bothered answering my messages. I've just finished answering two months of backlog faves. ("Thank you!" "Thank you!" "Thanks again!" etc. etc.)

I've been plagued with headaches for weeks now, I thought it was just the weather until Ads suggested getting my eyes tested, so I went for an appointment today, and sure enough, I need reading glasses. Turns out my eyes are straining from the daily glare of computer screens, detailed pencil work and constant reading.

Oh the irony, as we were driving back from the eye-doctor dude (i wasnt driving ) we manage to drive up someones arse and write off the car. The seatbelt worked, thank god but now my neck feels like someones taken salted sandpaper to it. aaaaaaah! OW!

Am suffering from major owie...please excuse my mood.

I lost and found the pen for my lovely wacom intuos 3 last week, but noticed that as you hover over the bottom right corner of the tablet, it judders and coughs at me.

This lovely piece of kit has done me well over the past two years, has been used pretty much every day and is getting a bit worn round the edges, you can see the surface is speckled and scratched from constant jabbings with the pen.

For some time now ive been thinking of getting it replaced and have noticed that a lot of people have been getting hold of the Cintiq 12WX, basically a tablet that allows you to draw on the screen itself. I was intrigued. Ive been saving up for a PS3 but this would seem like a more productive investment. So I was checking out prices.

Wacom.com, Cintiq 12WX $999, about £490, awesome I wants it I says.

So I go to [link] and click purchase Cintiq 12WX and it costs 1,190 Euros...the equivalent of...$1,855???!!! or £900-ish.

Hell no! You can kiss my english-german-irish ass UK Cintiq, I shall stick with my shitty but reliable broken Intuos 3 which IS worth its weight in gold! Bye!

I've done art trades in the past that were quite...'one sided.' ie. I give em a coloured lineart, cropped and clean, and I get a doodle on lined paper that I could have done with my left hand whilst drinking a cup of tea and reading a book...I appreciate the effort...but its just not cricket.

UPDATE- 4.7 ....not bad at all.

Damn earthquake just scared the shit out of me.

Its 1.05am right now, i was on photoshop finishing a pic and my door was rattling. I says to myself "Its windy tonight!" (stormy outside) Then my whole room started shaking and i was all....shiiiiiit.

It felt stronger than the last one i felt some years ago (that one was a puny 2.5 which for Manchester is probably all you are ever gonna get.) ...I shit a brick back then too.

We have em all the time apparently and we just dont feel them...well I bloody felt that one! O.o

I should really rethink the positions of my weaponry on the wall.

Ive been enjoying the art scene forums for artistic coversation and the complaint forums for pisstaking and lulz. I was reading one of those dead horse threads on what art people dislike most. The most notable responses were

1.) Anime, because "theres so much of it here on deviantart and its aaaall the same" *whinge whinge* (Fuck-off anime-haters and do some research, you're spamming my highly evolved brain.)

2.) Abstract (which in certain cases I can agree with because in my opinion a black dot on a canvas is not worth £2,000- It might be worth £2 depending on if the canvas is reusable. But there are many different kinds of abstract, and many of those kinds I DO like...See research response on anime for a detailed look on my opinion.)

...and lastly...

3.) Fanart.

Its always the same "I dislike fanart because its already been done and lacks originality! :B"

I say NAY! Those oh so popular characters were once somebody elses OC's at some point! Yeah bitches, Severus Snape was once a big-nosed idea floating around in JK's oh-so-talented bonce and it was only when people started reading about him that they thought, "woah cool, I can so totally see him in my head!" and started drawing him.
Then Alan Rickman comes along and its all like "Woah cool, I can so totally see me doing him in my head!" and start drawing him.
(I'm using Snape as a general example, now replace all former snape/him references with Voldemort/Lucius and you have a vague idea of what im thinking of all the time...yeah I need a life, and a bf...but until I get either ill stick with my sick and twisted mental porn.)

Why do we draw Fanart? Because we get that same buzz or emotion that we get when we read/watch those scenes that make us cry, laugh and grit our teeth, and we like it. We enjoy it. Its fun.

Now for the originality. I bet if I dipped in the pool of fanart deviants I would be able to sample a hundred snapes that have nothing in common with the movie Snape or even each other. Not style, costume, colouring, pose, dynamics, background etc etc. So how can anyone say they are not original?

Just because I draw the deatheater Evan Rosier, a name that is mentioned but twice in all 7 harry potter books, with no description of looks, personality or age, how does drawing him make me unoriginal?

So Im gonna draw whatever I fuckin' want, and right now, thats a Rosier, Lucius, Voldy Sandwich with a side order of Snape and Roddy sauce!

...and a subscription....yeah.

But today was great.
First off its my sister's birthday today and so we are celebrating with a family meal and stuff.
My aunt came round to drop off presents and brought baby Kyle (now toddler Kyle) who is absolutely adorable!
Then me and my mum went into the park to buy a christmas tree and saw all the deer and ducks etc

then...and this is the greatest bit... sent me a christmas present...two sketches of Luna and Lucius which really made my day! Thanks so much babe! I cant wait to colour them!!!! XD

oh and when i say Luna and Lucius i meant seperate pictures not a couple...he may have a thing for blondes but thats just naaaasty!

First i need to locate my scanner beneath the mount everest of crap that has filled my room!

I hope everyone else is enjoying their holidays and I wish everyone who celebrates it a Happy Christmas!

So the other day I was somewhat indirectly accused of Art theft by someone who hadn't done enough research into the matter.

I shall name no names, for it was an honest mistake and I appreciate those people who are brave enough to challenge art theives and risk being flamed for the sake of somebody elses work.

They merely stated politely in a note that they had remembered seeing one of my older pics [link] on another art site years ago, long before I posted this one on deviantart and though they believed i was now capable of doing my own work that I should still credit the original.

Now to set the record straight.

In 2002, At the tender age of 16 my parents finally could afford the wonderful INTERNET and me, not knowing anything of this digital wonderland, stumbled accross a great many sites like this where people my age could share pics and art with each other and have a jolly good laugh! I joined a great many sites in my excitement (including neopets which im not proud of), but most only held my attention span for about...hmm...five minutes. So within a few months I had quit all of them (or did I?) and carried on as if it never happened.

I had been introduced to Deviantart then but looked so big and scary i stayed away. Until *cue dramatic music* OMG in 2005 Elfwood offered me things i could only dream of! It was heaven, it was simple and it was my sanctuary until University came along and I joined Deviantart after being bashed about the head by Kate and poked to death by Morgan.

I joined Deviantart in January 2006 and never looked back.

THAT is why their could be artworks of mine floating around from 2002.
I did use other names and aliases, but they are all taken from my original name just like Lord Voldemort is Tom Marvolo Riddle!

Random person - "Like, this pic isnt yours it was drawn by some guy named Voldemort!"
Tom Riddle - "I am Lord Voldemort!"
Random dude- "oh no you aren't! Marvolo Riddle from this site is Lord Voldemort!"
Tom Riddle- "yeah I know, thats me aswell!"
Random chick- "But The Riddler from my site says he's Marv Riddle!"
Tom Riddle- "I'M THE RIDDLER!!!!"

...and so on and so forth. I could give you the list of my aliases but that would defeat the object of having an alias now wouldn't it?!

MAIN JOURNAL ENTRY

After drawing my pokemon trainer Harmony

My brother asked me to draw his trainer Warren having a pokemon battle with her (She kicks his ass *cough*). I started the job and my friend wanted to join in too with her trainer. We got talking and thought it would be awesome to do a full on PokeWAR with loads and loads of trainers and pokemon in a massive arena.

Its a huge Collab where I shall be drawing the trainers and Roxi will draw the pokemon.

If any of you are interested in having your character/trainer joining the PokeWAR or know someone who might be, send me a note labelled...er...PokeWAR! This project is a WIP and might take a looong time but i hope to get a lot of people invloved and make this pic epic in scale!

In the note please include...

- A link/s to the design of your character/trainer. A sketch will suffice but if you have a coloured one it would benefit me, I need an indication of skincolour, eyecolour, hairstyle and clothes/fashion style.

- A description of age, height and personality would help

- Also include a list of your fave pokemon, six in total. no legendary pokemon (I dont want ten mewtwos, enteiis, latias, groudons etc etc) and you can have one very rare pokemon eg. Umbreon, Glaceon etc. I wont be drawing all six but will definately choose one of them to stand by you.

Needed a new journal entry as it has been some time since i started begging for commissions *cough* still open btw*cough* details here [link]

So I had a very interesting day...

I have a always had nosebleeds since i was small, i get about one a week which is usually never anything more than a few drops. Its nothing serious, its just life.

But recently i have been plagued with a cold...those of you living in england these days would notice that teh weather has gone to pot! You can imagine the poor weather people biting their nails and ripping out their hair as they prepare to be flamed for getting it wrong all the time...."Today the weather will be stormy, no wait, sunny, no wait, arctic temperatures!!!!" My poor little nose can't hack it and has decided to go on strike. Ive been sneezing, a lot.

So today i feel the tickling sensation of a sneeze and idly lean over my desk to grab a tissue...and HOLY CRAP! Before i could reach the tissue I sneezed... and it was like a scene from SAW. Blood was everywhere! If my mum walked in she'd have thought i slit my throat!

It was all over my poor little computer screen and thats not the best bit! No! My face went white with horror as i realised that Morgan's rabbit commission, which was innocently waiting to be packed and posted, was within the firing range of the bloodbath. Shit.

....by some miracle...I missed...the bunny drawing did not have a drop of blood on it! But im still quivering with terror that it was such a close call.

and that children, was the highlight of my day!

1) It is common among our family to switch accents in a blink. When my granny is round we all switch into irish and sound like a cast of extra's from Father Ted. We also go scottish, australian is popular, start babbling in german, funky french hon-hon-hon laugh etc. Then there's the queen... 'One thinks the weather is clement today!'

2) like everyone else and their sister I TOO got scolded in school for drawing in lessons. A teacher would try to catch me out by asking me to answer a question mid-doodle. I would pause, lift my head up, answer her correctly, and then continue drawing. It took them a while to realise that when i doodled i was actually paying attention...if i didnt id start daydreaming and then probably fall asleep or die.

3) I likes Farm-food i do! I cant cope with foreign rubbish...I need my shepherds pie, brazing steak, lamb stew, irish potato cakes, meatloaf, granny's potato stuffin' and the classic Yorkshire puddin'! I love the taste of Indian, italian and Chinese food but its so rich my stomach cant hack it and makes me feel awful the next day.

4) I spent my summer holidays in ireland as a child. My relatives there were all farmers so whilst everyone else played their super nintendo i wrestled calves and milked cows, climbed haybails, drove tractors and whittled walking sticks with a penknife. I also journeyed to the top of the mountain of cattlefeed and claimed it for England!

5) I love animals but have never had many pets. I have g-pigs and a dog. When i grow up i want an albino corn snake called 'Draco', a parrot called 'Jack' and...get this... an evil white persian called 'Lucius'!

6) I can force a crack from my fingers, wrists, elbows, shoulders, collarbone, neck, jaw and ankles...only my back and knees sometimes.

7) I know ive sed in previous journals that i have an unhealthy obsession for long hair, especially guys with long hair. Its true...i do. The longer ther hair the better, so long as its well looked after and pretty! I would comb it, smell it, wrap myself in it and be content!

8) My stupid fangirlishness makes me want to insert myself into every genre.

Im a slytherin prefect/ebil hermione who later marries evan rosier, becomes a deatheater and has a kid, Im a hobbit who marries Pippin and has a kid, the skinny person inside me is an elf who marries legolas and has a kid, Im an X-Woman who controls electricity a la star wars and marries Colossus and has a kid.

Do you sense a theme here? Then of course there are all my OC's which no matter who they are (Male,female, gay, straight, child, pensioner) are all manifests of parts of my psyche! Francis Harrogate the only gay in Hogwarts is an exception.

1) I always drew animals as a child, i didnt move onto people until i was about 8. I did portraits and headshots until i was around 12 and then i started doing cartoons and fanart...and boys.

Rant time, im sorry for any cussing you young ones might hear, im british, we swear a lot...i cant help it.

Right so I am THIS close to opening commissions, ive got everything sorted, paypal etc. Now im fixing prices on the various different styles and types of art im willing to do...

simple? I dont think so!!!!!

You see i was checking all you guys out to get an idea of what I should ask for and i guessed that $10-$20 is what seems appropriate for a sketch/drawing and it gets higher for more detailed, coloured stuff...makes perfect sense.

$10 seems to be given the same 'attitude' as £10
(ie. A handy and useful note in your purse that can get you a number of small things like bus ticket, cinema ticket and at a push, a cheap complimentary coke that tastes dodgy
- or you can blow it all on a cheap DVD from the supermarket like i did with Zoolander baby! *pouts*
- or you can do what i did and accidentally give it to a homeless guy thinking he'd give you change
- I slap my head at my stupidity, but in the long run, you don't feel a deep hollow in your purse when you use it! Or in my case...lose it!) I'm guessing thats what $10 is i could be completely wrong! But that is what £10 is to me.

but now we hit the big HELL NO!
The American $10 is the equivalent of £4.99...if any of you live in Britian, you would know that £4.99 wouldn't even get you an adult's cinema ticket. (They are £5.20 just so you know!)

Who the hell decided on the exchange rate?! Cos i want to shoot them! Life would be so much easier if a penny meant a cent and vice versa! I mean there's 100c in a dollar right? well gues what, there's 100p in a pound too!

So I apologise to those who are suckered by the system. Im sorry i cant charge $10-$20 like everyone else who isn't living on this island.
I dont want ppl looking at my £10- £20 and after realising its $20-$40 think "OMG BITCH RIP-OFF IM NOT PAYING THAT FOR YOUR SHITTY DRAWING ILL FIND SOMEONE ELSE!"

But i need an adult's cinema ticket...and i want a cheap complimentary coke with that!!!

So as you can see ive gone and got myself a print sub!

Don't have any pics to sell yet owing to the fact that they are all fanart and thats not allowed XP But I am working like crazy on some pieces for my portfolio and they will be 100% my own ideas!

As for css I'm likeing these colours of icy blue, and im testing thunmbnails out. Please tell me if you can read it without straining your eyes, otherwise i might have to tone it down a bit!

UPDATE- Hell yeah baby! [link] One for the girls!

So we arrived about half ten, it was pissing it down with rain and we had a miserable hour of queing before we even got near the thing! I was drenched, I was cold, but I was psyched!

Every time i tried to get a picture of the ship from a distance, some idiot would step in front of the camera or conveniently place their head in the centre. The queue was massive and it was full of families and very small children all dressed as pirates. It was like i was a giant in a sea of minnie Jack Sparrows and Barbossa's and even Cpt. Hooks! Made me wish i was a child again just so i could get my hands on some decent dressing up gear we were denied in our youth!

In the end i gave up trying to get a whole pic and stuck to close up shots of rigging and crows nests and rope...lots of rope! Now i have some cool reference pics if i ever take a fancy to doing some pirate art! aargh!

...words cannot describe the wave of immense euphoria....

....I KNEW IT!!!! (Not long after HBP i happened upon a theory I disclosed to few friends, fearing the repurcussions if i turned out to be- well...wrong- the consequences, the humiliation, the shame that my Harry Potter Lore was not up to scratch as it should have been- but anyway I was right so haha to them!)

Sara?...i told you soooo! *punches fist in air and does the victory dance*

So anyway the beautiful hardback was seated lovingly by my bedside (thanks mum) as i woke with the thrill that i would finally discover the truth!!!!

Now it is nearly three in the morning...I have not ate, I have not showered, I have rocked back and forth in my armchair not daring to leave my bedroom even to take a piss!

I swear my blood is now just pure adrenaline! What a ride! The ending...awesome!

I shed tears, I laughed out loud, I snarled at any intruder who tended to burst in to my room at an important moment or when my fave characters were talking!

and now...its over...

In exactly one month uni is over, and i must embrace the adult world and get a job like everybody else, hopefully a job which will let me use my arty skills and give me some satisfaction and sense of achievement. But with uni out of the way, ill be free to indulge in my hobby and draw whatever the fuck i want!

I have been working on a performance lately, and have taken some lovely photos, which i shall put up at some point after its over.

I have also bought a gorge dress for the uni ball, which my friend pointed out...was slytherin green...i cant help it if i have fallen in love with the colour i used to despise...turns out it suits me...and my fake ginger hair!

Ellygator's necklace is finished and is flying over to me as I speak...with any luck it will match said dress and i can wear them both with a sneer on my face...hell yeah! If it doesn't ill just have to buy another dress lol! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

My psychic twin Chants recently got herself a harry potter tattoo on her wrist... and i am biting my fist with jealousy at its awesomeness...i want one...and cannot sleep until i get one...the bitch!

firstly, my friend who has always been so nice to me, leaving comments and the like, was recenty banned from deviantart for copyright infringement...

...someone squealed on her awesome movie desktops that she wanted to share with us. Now I know the laws of deviantart require that no movie screenshots be used in manips and stuff, but that law has always been seemingly relaxed ( i mean look at the amount of stuff out there and tell me that half of deviantart members are not in breach of something!)

As of today all my manips will be uploaded into scraps because i am paranoid that some arsehole will squeal on me eventually, and I hate squealers! As for Deviant ID's, I will leave them up, but I wait for the day that someone decides theydont like me and press the 'complaint' button!


NOW FOR COOL STUFF!

I have been watching and rewatching the new HP trailers and am so excited I could die...Voldemort breathing fire had me squealing with excitement! I CAN'T WAIT!

There is a glimpse of Lucius and Bella blocking spells with that 'Don't bother trying to hex me it won't work!' attitude, and the design etched onto the robes is just stunning!

1) I always stir my cups of tea ten times or more…a thing I have done since childhood. I will also stir in the milk and sugar separately…never all at once.

2) I have a strange love of hair! If I could I would comb people’s hair for a living. Its relaxing. The longer the hair the better, especially on a man! As long as its well cared for! And the smell! It smells nice!

3) If its dark outside I have to shut all the curtains…I hate the feeling where people can see you and you can’t see them!

4) I forget to blink when I draw/paint things, making my eyes very dry and sore in the process.

5) I hate dead bugs…and mouldy food. If I come across either of them I feel sick to my stomach. I always get rid of spiders, wasps etc humanely, even if it means stings and bites!

6) I am freakishly fangirlish! Especially for bad boys!

I was watching this guy thinking "OMG he's so gorgeous this is really wrong! I am like...three years older than him, he's barely 18 for god's sake!"

Then i went and bought the movie Sky High, a cute disney flick about high school superheroes...and what ho? Warren Peace, so hot i could die! I felt so bad i had to go check the actor out on imdb and find out he's not 16 he's exactly one month older than me woohoo! Thats fine i can fancy him all i want!

Then i remembered seeing Driving Lessons and having a bit of a thing for Rupert Grint, who has become seriously cute for an 18yr old!

Looks like they'd been at it for years, and not just her work either! Honestly some ppl are just so pathetically dumb! IF YOU HAVE NO TALENT STEALING OTHER PPL'S WORK WON'T MAKE IT MAGICALLY APPEAR!

--OK then OMG me mam came into my room yesterday with a bank statement and an inhumane look in her eye...i was like "are you alright ma?"

So yeah some asshole has cloned me mam's switch and blown the best part of £3,000 at Argos!!!!!!

--to top that off---OMFG SHE THOUGHT I DID IT???? (I mean ARGOS? C'MON! Go to fuckin' Harvey Nicks and have a party!!!!)

and OMG if someone walked into your store and spent the best part of £3,000 on mobile phones and ipods- you might be a little suspicious????! Obviously not, cos the dumbasses didn't notice or didn't care so me mam only found out until the bank statement for this month came in! So she phoned argos up and was like...

"WHERE'S THAT MONKEY I WANT TO SHOOT SOMETHING!!!!"

I apologise for the extensive cussing! I sometimes switch into Jay mode and just can't stop fucking swearing its fucking ridiculous! what the hell you lookin at bitch?!?!

i do have more to say but that would just tip me over the edge of sanity and into pure, psychotic, hatred of everything!!!

...except kittens....gotta love kittens...and babies...and puppies...and the g-pigs i keep cuddling and shouldn't cos they make me itch like fuck!

on a lighter note- ive been drawing out my aggression and will have lots of updates after christmas- potter mania, FFAC dumps, kiribans! All sorts!

UPDATE: Finally figured out what the hell a mask is and how to use one! I'm like "WTF? I don't suck after all!!!" Goes to show, conquer your fears...experiment and you'll learn new stuff!

Masking is a cool thing where it lets you colour behind pencil marks, thus keeping the original drawing intact! Its AWESOOOME!!!!

I want my stuff to look like that! *points to [link] and that! [link] *makani too awesome for words*

Anyway...enjoy the sketches...no doubt i will have fifty more come next week!

On here, I quite like Soul Conflict, and Wake up, drawings that have stemmed from dreams are more emotional for me. As for my most meaningful work ever? A portrait i drew of my baby brothers.

11) Best COMPLETED piece you ever did?

dont really have one, theres the lady of the lake pic i put on elfwood but i was only fifteen when i did it and it sucks looking at it now...still havnt come up with anything as nice though! *sigh*

12) Work that took the longest?

I dont count, and sometimes i can work an entire day on a piece and not stop. Draco took eight hours start to finish, and i didnt stop for that, but my comics take the longest because i lose patience with them and keep putting them off. I draw about two a year! if that!

13) DA artist who has influenced you the most?

That would be who influenced my fandom for Malfoy's, comics, funnies etc. and again for the same reason! Plus she let me use her character which is AWESOME!

14) What is currently the funnest thing to draw?

A Malfoy with a bemused expression..."What th-?"

Sneers...i can do sneers rather well!

My Dad...i drew him a squirrel for his office when i was 7, then i kept trying to give him more and more to stick on his wall...eventually he got me a file to put them in...so id bugger off and leave him alone.
