I can fully understand this and all, but I don't exactly find it fair that if all of my work has been deleted, why isn't a majority of things you see here.


I guess amateur graphic designers such as myself, have to limit ourselves to certain stocks. I wouldn't have minded so much if there had been some kind of warning a day or two in advance. It also kind of ticks me off that it also includes the most popular deviations I have uploaded. If everything I made had to be deleted, someone should just go through the Signature Banner category fishing out a good majority of work there.


Don't know if I'm honestly gonna put up with this. I love what I do, and I'm sure most of you understand that I don't simply half ass it, I try to do something different each time. If I give credit it shouldn't be a big deal; especially considering I did no theft. If what I do is considered theft, then so is a grand amount of content on this site. For those confused, Noby Noby Boy is a new PSN game from the creator of Katamari Damacy. You play as a worm/snake/thing called Boy, and you eat and stretch. That's pretty much it. But it's presented in such a great way, that you'll have constant fun with. As you eat, you can report your length to this creature called Girl, and as she grows, she reaches new planets. Everyone who plays this game helps work towards the next planet, Mars is the planet players are working to unlock, with the Moon already being unlocked. Great game, and a great deal for only $5.

Killzone 2 is an immensely hyped up game for the PSTriple. I have already beaten campaign, and hit general within the first three days, and I loved it. Campaign was a bit standard, but it had enough thrills to make it very enjoyable. Multiplayer is like Call of Duty 4's and TF2' love-child. It's great fun to play, and ranking up isn't too easy, or impossibly hard. It's definitely doable to hit General for anyone who enjoys the game. It's rather balanced(except those rocket guys), and it's very fun; the class system works great. If you have a PS3 and like shooting games, definitely get it.

The Watchmen movie was a lot better than what I expected, it was a great adaption. The movie made a fan out of me, and I went out and got the comic yesterday. Some scenes went on too long, others far too short, but overall I enjoyed it. The only thing that really didn't need to happen, were those constant Dr. Manhattan crotch shots; I'm fine with it once in a while, but at points it happened far too much. But Rorshach's performance more than made up for the other actors, as he was spot-on perfect, I'd say it was even Heath Ledger Joker level. Also happy they didn't try to milk a sequel out of it.


And also wtf is this? This is just flat out stupid. GIRUGAMESH, AND GAY MEN. Really? Stop.

Started second semester of school, so new classes. First period is just dreadful; I mean, Computer Applications? Really? I mean it's good for people who don't typically work with computers. But kind of silly to shove a kid who's in the school's computer magnet program into a very basic class, if you ask me. Everything else is alright.

Been doing a bit since last update; I've since beat Persona 4, Fable II, and bought Valkyria Chronicles.

I just got the true ending in Persona 4 last night(got the normal one last week or so), and can easily say it was the best game of last year and one of the best gameplay experiences I've had. Everything was simply wonderful, no single complaint about the game.

Fable II was alright. But was severely overrated in just about every department. I can't even see this winning any sort of award. Gameplay was for the most part, boring and dull. Combat is somewhat fun once you get some good skills going(IE: all of the gun skills), but otherwise, it's boring. Too sluggish, button mashing is all you really need. The fact that dying brings no big consequence, you have no fear of dying, and tampers the game. I never bought potions because of this.
The game's big gimmick, involves the whole good/evil thing, which since Fable 1's time, has been done to death. The choices are so black and white in answers, it's just boring. Being good, like most games, results in good rewards. Being evil only gets you satisfaction, and no real reward. The expression wheel, and social interaction is just bad, plain and simple. The best thing about the game is being able to massacre a town after being bored out of your mind.
But otherwise, way way way too overrated, and also painfully generic. Bad for an Action RPG.

Valkyria Chronicles is another good game though. Horribly underrated and underhyped. It is a smart fusion of Third-Person Shooters and Strategy RPGs, very fun. The graphics are an absolute treat to see, the game is beautiful. I know like most SRPGs, I'll get to a hard mission, and just stop; but I'm just happy to support some great new ideas.


Overall though, 2008 was a good year for gamers, something for everyone. It brought out a lot of originality, and a lot of sequels.

So, haven't really posted a journal in a while; haven't really been doing anything. I got some games for Christmas, I got Prince of Persia, Rock Band 2, Left 4 Dead, and Persona 4.

I've since completed Prince of Persia, Left 4 Dead for the most part, and I am working on Persona 4.

Persona 4, is just amazing, I can't believe that they were able to take a perfectly good game(Persona 3), and fix every little problem in the game. Everything, from the gameplay, art design, to even story are improved vastly.

I'm 21 hours in at this moment, and I've enjoyed every minute of it so far. It's a truly great game and if you like RPGs and own a PS2, you need to experience it; as it's virtually flawless.

Got WipEout HD recently, it's a ton of fun. Playing right now as a matter of fact. Graphics are fantastic, controls very well, and it supports custom playlists(I have Shadow of the Colossus songs on mine :3) and stuff, great racing game.
Also got Mega Man 9 and Duke Nukem on the Xbox Live Arcade; those games are fantastic. I was never really too big on shooters until this year, so I never played Duke Nukem. And now I know what I was missing out on, a fantastic shooter with a lot of great qualities, deathmatch in it is a little old fashioned for my taste, but I'll deal with it. And online coop makes the game twice as fun as it already was. Nothing is more fun than blasting through crowds of enemies with your friends.
Mega Man 9 is pretty cool too, just like the old Mega Man games you probably know and love; difficulty intact. This game is HARD, I only beat two robot masters so far.

So yeah, No More Heroes 2 bros.

On to more AWESOME news.
On Xbox Live, I have this completely awesome friend, who plays a lot of random music and sounds over his mic(go youtube laughing shark, that's his favorite one..please). And now he's not a very talkative fellow, and he doesn't really talk with emotion. So the other day Lockbox(his XBL name, or was rather, whatever) and I were playing, and our other friend joined. After a couple of hours I hear Lockbox's dog barking through his mic(his name is Sparky), and Lockbox just shouts "SHUT UP" at his dog and continues talking.
But something even better happened yesterday; Lockbox is cool so we know a lot of jokes and stuff, so I usually know what he's talking about. And yesterday he starts talking about some custom maps he's played in TF2(PC version):
Me: So how's that Mario Kart map?
Lockbox: It's pretty...unbalanced-talks into detail about it-
Me: Doesn't it have that Lucky Star animation constantly looping
Lockbox: Yes
Me: Did you watch Lucky Star?
Lockbox: A few episodes...but I had to stop because it was annoying the hell out of me
Me: Oh..I watched like half of the series
Lockbox: So you admit to watching, and knowing about Lucky Star?
Me: Yeah
Lockbox: Then this gives me an excuse to do this -blasts the Lucky Star theme song over his mic-

So now he plays the Lucky Star theme song a lot


And now I'm going to play GTA with him; and Castle Crashers is awesome.

It's addicting, fun, and fast, and a real joy to play and even watch. If you even slightly like fighters(like me, I'm not a big fighting game fan), this is going to be great for you. My playtime was 22 hours the last I checked..a lot considering how long it's been out.

The Dark Knight was amazing, but I expected it to be. Great movie, no real flaws, one of my favorites.

And I even beat Bioshock recently(I know, slowpoke), good game, not game of the year(seriously? Half Life 2 is better and it's like 3 years old), but if you like Half-Life, then try it(although you probably have).

..I should probably go back to Persona 3 soon...but it kicks my ass D:

The songs go perfect with the gameplay, and the gameplay is addictive. It's probably my favorite puzzle game along with Meteos(both of which Mizuguchi made). But damn, why is so much stuff only available as DLC, I need more points, ugh.
And I beat Ninja Gaiden II, very last boss was disappointingly easy(Genshin was harder), sit and spam the y button=EASY. So now I'm going through the game on Acolyte again, but this time to do the Tests of Valor(who's bright idea was it to make it so you NEED an item to do the tests, I could've gotten this all done in one playthrough). Love the Vigoorian Flails, Lunar Staff, and Eclipse Scythe, the swords are cool too.
My summer break is pretty boring so far, stay up till 2, sleep until 12 or so, go online most of the day, and game in the night.

And I'm going to Virginia from June 30th to July 8th, so don't expect anything during the time(staying with my uncle, he has dial-up..I'll pass).

And dang it, why are there rocket launcher ninjas in my action game? I don't enjoy being shot at with fifty rockets at once when I try to hit one enemy. but past that, I like it a lot, some bosses made me rage(fiery armadillo after fighting Genshin, WHO WOULD THINK OF DOING SUCH A THING), but it's great. Love the new Obliteration techniques, and the weapons are all different and fun. Why is the Kusari-Gama so horribly weak and slow compared to other weapons? The Eclipse Scythe is currently my favorite, but I like pretty much all of them(except the Kusari-Gama).
Also, I got a 100 hit combo using the scythe, that's just awesome.
I'm currently replaying through TWEWY as well(since I returned my rental copy). But I have a Yoshimitsu pin and Kusanagi pin at least. Thinking of making a fansite for it.

How the hell did this game get a higher average than Ocarina of Time, no less, Wind Waker. This game is a total disappointment. It's too realistic to be a lot of fun. Driving? Impossible, good luck turning with a truck across the road, you're gonna crash. On foot is slightly better...but I think in this day and age, we don't need a run button. Gunplay just flatout sucks, you never lock on to the right thing, and free aiming is too annoying to do(really, half pull the trigger? Iron Man got flack for this, but not GTA?). Best things in the game? Graphics, and jumping. Graphics are really good, but are they amazing? No, just better than normal. Jumping is great though, Niko looks like he skips. Therefore I jump around a lot. Glad I saved my money on this.

TWEWY on the otherhand is fantastic. Recommend it to anyone with a DS. The style and artwork of the game is sweet, something different from your stereotypical JRPGs. The music is sweet too, it's a mix of pop and hip-hop/rap, and now I love me a good hip-hop soundtrack in a game, they're always livelier. The combat system is rather enjoyable too, on the bottom screen you control Neku, and attack and move using the stylus, and on the top screen, you control your partner attacking and defending with the dpad. At first it's hectic, but eventually you get used to it. The pin system is pretty sweet too, every pin is like a new move, and you can use them in battle. Right now I'm using Masamune, Murasame, something I forgot, and Sexy Beam(yes Sexy Beam). The characters are great too, all of them feel truely alive(with the exception of a reaper or two), with their own backstories and such. Plus there's a guy who shouts Algebra phrases and terms, yes, he's awesome too.


Ienzo verdict: GTA=Bad TWEWY=Great

In fact, I'm gonna pick up TWEWY eventually, which is saying something, since I rarely buy games after renting. GTA4 just wasn't worth the $10 at blockbuster.

MadWorld is an action game for the Wii, combat looks slick, reminds me of No More Heroes, and the style is a combination of NMH and Sin City. The trailer is just sweet: [link]

The second game, Bayonetta, is an action game coming out to the 360/PS3, the director, if I remember right, is the one from the Devil May Cry series. What does this mean? An amazing game, the main character is a witch, and you're basically killing angels. But I hope the gameplay is just as good as the trailer looks. [link]
And too lazy to go back, but yeah the DMC director is doing this. Expect pure badass.

The third is an RPG for the DS, Infinite Line, not much has been released, not really intersting to me, but I'll probably pick it up just to support Platinum Games.
And the rumored fourth is supposedly being developed by Shinji Mikami(creator of Resident Evil, and he shares the same birthday as me, pretty awesome).

I was on the phone with a friend, and he kept getting random calls.
The calls were from...a baby
A random baby
It only knew the words goo, mama, papa, etc.
My friend was yelling "SHUT UP BABY" and the baby kept calling back.
Then, some girl said "Sorry about my little sister bothering you" my friend replied and stuff, and the girl goes "Want to talk to her again?"
And the baby is still calling.

....am I getting punk'd...because really, wtf is going on..

EDIT: Okay, really I'm scared, the baby knows how to text now.

My friend's going to make a youtube video of this(he's the guy the baby was calling), and he's gonna replicate the scene, and I'm probably going to be in it, so be ready to laugh at our scaredness ):'

The new Halo maps are awesome, if only my other Halo friends were here =/
Rez HD is also awesome, digging thhe funky vibes and visuals.
And I picked up Sgt. Frog volume 14 yesterday, usual craziness happened, next volume's gonna be tight though(new character!). So happy Mine Yoshizaki got to design a character for Soul Calibur IV, especially one based off Angol Moa(lol Angol Roa). AND Soul Calibur IV comes out like two weeks before my birthday, I think Namco-Bandai is trying to get me to buy it..

So yeah, rented Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, pretty slick, loving the cut-scene presentation along with the overall gameplay. SERIOUSLY ITAGAKI WHY ARE ALL OF THE ENEMIES RAPING ME, AND ATTACKING ME, AND RAPING ME AT THE EXACT SAME TIME THOUGH.

I hate it when stuff like this happens ;_;
And not to mention, a lot of things are coming out.
Ninja Gaiden DS, The World Ends With You, Okami Wii-release, Persona 3 FES, and MGS: The Essential Collection, I really don't have the money for this >_>

But onto Brawl and Vegas 2
Brawl: I'm really loving this, as a big Nintendo fan, and as a gamer, I really appreciate all the small details in it, and everything about it. I have a lot of favorite characters so far, Lucas, Zero Suit Samus, Diddy Kong, Captain Falcon, Snake, Lucario, and Wolf are my favorites. For the past two weeks, my friend and I have been having wifi matches, they're great fun, and very enjoyable. We always do a lot of one-on-ones(no items, final destination), and it's been fun, he's better than me, but I managed to beat him a couple of times(he was pissed xD).

Vegas 2 was really underhyped by everyone besides fans, there's been complaints about too much of the same, but you know what? Vegas 1 was pretty much the perfect realistic shooter, and was so fun, I would be pissed if it was different. They added a sprint button, and pretty much fixed everything wrong with the first. Still have to try multiplayer(I never did get to try it on Vegas 1, probably too late, oh well), but I'm sure I'll love it, so doing co-op tonight.
