3. When I was little I really wanted to be a vet, and even started taking the A-levels in order to do it. However I realised that because I wasn't moved up, regardless of the masses of promises to move me out of the intermediate maths set that I was top of for year, I struggled to do A-level Maths and had to take an alternative instead.

4. I absolutely can't stand our consumerist driven society, and the fact that corporation make things 'consumable' to make them more money when there is no need for them to be 'consumable'...

5. ...like electronics that either break or are 'out-dated' quickly or fashion. It makes me so sad that we has such a negative impact on the environment, poorer people and ourselves (see [link] -storyofstuff.com to see the link

6. I love cherries ^-^ so cute a tasty!

7. I have about 15 paper, plastic, rubber and material bands on my right wrist from gigs I've been to. Some from late September, though on is a Reading band ^-^. I don't get how the paper ones last so long, but they do ^-^ (and yes I do wash them and that arm which is why I wonder how they've lasted).

8. I'm currently addicted to LittleBig Planet, which I play whenever i go to a friends with a PS3. Poor them

So this is is. I think reading the journal of Jeff Thomas (Azuzephre) kinda touched me a bit in the fact I find things have made my creativity more difficult. Mind nowhere near as bad as his situation, plus I've learnt things that I want to include in my work and I can't get there . But I guess in the end I'm feeling distanced from the creativity that I enjoy so much and I'm trying my best to connect things back up, and produce what is truly me and what i know I'm capable of.

I keep wanting to start this account all over again. I've had it for so long and there are things which are completely unrelated to me now and I don't want to be labelled for them. However I realise that there are people that really like some of the things here and I don't want to take them away. In then end I think i may just start up a new account, but still have this one to communicate and add anything that still fits here.

I don't know when but it'll happen. I hope I can stop over thinking things in my attempts to distance myself and actually get work I'm proud of again so I can share it. Anyways that my thoughts for now.

here is the penultimate picture of my beautiful faithy baby who passed away this morning. Faith was having an op 2 remove lumps caused by an unknown problem. she was 2 b spayed also in an effort 2 stop the problem. as they came 2 this 2nd part of the op she was lost due 2 the anesthetic. it seems so wrong that one that could love life + as happy as she could b lost. she was never in any pain, at least her problem can't cause any now. she helped me so much in a difficult part of my life. i owe her so much. the moment she was in ur company it was like a warm wave of happiness washed over u. sweet, cheeky + incredibly loving, i'm going 2 miss u so. i'm told she had a happy life + i hope it was so. i'm so sorry to lose u my adorable friend. your warmth + love will live forever in my heart. sleep well sweetie. make sure u + ni take care of each other. miss you so much already. all our love mummy + anya xxxxxx

I now have the cards on her grave as it needs to be prepared for Faith to be next to her, but we both appreciate them so so much. I was deeply touched by your words and I wish I had updated you all sooner.

Hi all,

For those that know Nienna, and even if you don't, I'm offering the chance to write a message for her, on the anniversary of her death. I will copy any messages in a card for her and leave on her grave on Tuesday (I'm taking a lovely planter of white roses for her also on the day). So if there is anything anyone wants to say when I visit her then please note me with your message.

RIP Nienna - 06/04 to 26/02/2007 - my beautiful pet fancy rat who helped me through the hardest part of my life so far by being consistently happy even though she was always ill herself. I owe so much to her, and I know she touched a lot of peoples lives too.

This day has been at the front of my mind since she passed really. Can't believe it'll be next Tuesday already. I'm hoping to get a special flower arrangement done for the day or something that that effect. Not sure what else as an idea, but I intend to drive down there and sit with her as long as I can for that day. I loved and still love her memory so very much. She did so much for me. I know I'm going to be on my own, but it is an open invitation for anyone to join me (well I have to bar one person, but simply due to the stress she created on myself which would have been pressed on Nienna, I can't help but think her selfish actions didn't help her in her final week. Especially when having an owner who was in tears 24/7). Even though Nienna deserves more, and so many people rely on her memory still (I'm consistently surprised by the amount of hearts she touched), really there should be more to honour her memory. But it's always the way, unfortunately life gets in the way. But I'll be there, with my guitar at least ( I've written her a song so I'll play it to her) to pay me respects to an amazing soul.

Okies it seems that it has finally hit me! It took a whole 5 days but I'm there! OMG!!!!!!!!!

all that awesomeness happened!

Okies this is a rather random journal, before I finally disappear into my awestruck at luckiness, let me explain who the hell David Ford is.

David Ford is a musician from Eastbourne. He was in a band that was formed in the 90s, and after a bit of a shuffle in 2001 they became 'Easyworld' and released their debut single.

Unfortunately after releasing 2 albums ('This is where I stand' and 'Kill the Last Romantic'

in 2004 the band broke up. Right at the turning point when they were gaining popularity exceptionally quickly.

Now to prove that they did gain popularity on the rock/indie I give the example of last year when I decided to request quite literally anything by them to the irish (I was living in Ireland at the time) alternative station - Phantom FM (a very popular station which I wish was over here as it did play a surprising amount of good music - www.phantom.ie). My request was read out with the comment that it had been a while, but pleased to play them again ^-^ (the song played was 'You & Me' ever so slightly embarrasing if you hear it, but I was exceptionally hapy to hear them on the radio as they had broken up 3 years previous).

It's been a while. I've been very busy watching over Mummy, Faith, Anya and Daddy. I spend most of my time with Mummy and Faithy and Anya though. I sometimes visit Mummy's family too. I try and be there when people think of me. Still have yet to pass completely. Mummy is happy for me properly, but she still needs me here. So like we promised to each other I'm here for her. She's had ever so many problems visiting me. But I know why. Hence I had to let her know that when she came a few days ago. Though it was so lovely to see her again. She gave my stone a kiss and I managed to get another shaft of light through he clouds to warm her and my grave. Mummy always seems so shocked, but I must give her hope. I love her so. I really hope that she finds what I and many wish for her. I miss her as much as she misses me. So, even though I know it's been hard for her to visit me. I'm ever so grateful. Please take care Mummy. This year will be as great as you keep hoping, you'll see. Things are always changing and becoming how they should be. It's all in a direction, it all has good reason. Just son't get too sad when negative things happen. Because they will make the good things so much more amazing and teach you things that will make sense, for the good things at least. Try not to dwell on the past, I know your doing ever so much better. It is amazing, but don't lose what little hope you have gathered. I love you so much. I'm here on your shoulder most times. If I'm not I'm only hugging anya and faith or giving Daddy a little help (although he would say he doesn't deserve it, which is probably true, but none the less I love him like you stil do).

Keep me close, smile and cry at my photos, and look to the photos of my grave as mini visits as your there in spirit.

Yup, a new year finally begins after the end of tomorrow. To be honest, I'm rather pleased to see it go. 2007 has been a terrible year for me. I've been so lost in myself that I have no idea where a larger proportion of it has gone, quite literally. Yet the year feels like it has passed stupidly fast, and painfully slow all at one.

Good Things that did actually happen (somehow in an awful year):

*Laying Ni-ni to rest in a beautiful cementary
*Completion of the SD doujinshi and it's reception at Japanex
*Starting university with a course I love, and meeting so many amazing new friends (why did I have to wait until pretty much October for this wonder to happen).

Bad things:

*Coming into the year with major issues to do with another very selfish women.
*Car crashed into by camper van
*Receiving a valentine's day card from someone who gave one to another
*Being in hospital Valentine's day
*The end of a long term relationship (almost 2 years worth)
*My gorgeous rat Nienna passing away (although she did exceptionally well to live to her life expectancy, with all the sickness she had).
*Quitting job due to final straw that I was not 'allowed' to take the time to take Nienna to be cremeted.
*Being chucked out by a person who was intending to 'help' through a difficult time, who turned when her ex (who she still loved) found that she was sleeping with his best friend (apparently I was the one who told him) >.<
*Being forced to move to Ireland and having basically no friends for 6 months
*Taking medicine for way longer than most leaflets with them suggested.
*Having to take stronger and stronger medicine.
*Reversing into another car as car was so full of stuff helping parents move house.
*Finally realising how much I lost after being trapped for 2 years (as due to ex's illness was unable to leave the house pretty much).
*Faith (another rattie who I got as part of a pair to keep Ni company when she calmed down enough to allow it) getting a tumour. Thank goodness it was benign.

So to be fair I'm quite happy to say goodbye to 2007, and have all the intention in the world to make 2008 a great year (though shouldn't be hard considering how 'ugh' 2007 was).

So! New Years Revolution:
"To have a better year than last year".

Some good news with Faith. Finally, the swelling around her wound from the tumour removal is gone. She and Anya are very happy, as they are currently enjoying the many gifts they received at xmas. Big thanks to Catherine - my bro's gf as they adore the mini ' pop-up' tent for pets that she gave them as well as the rat 'doughnuts'. My 'ripper' treats and 'stocking' hammock come firmly after the tent, but it truly is their xmas #1

Written yesterday:

Faith is thankfully doing well. The lump was succesfully removed. She's woken up fine and been quite happy, though of course sleepy. She's curled up in a ball right now asleep Mind I think most of the tiredness has come from all the extra hugs the nurse gave her. It's so odd seeing the bald patch on her. But at least the lump is gone. The vet said it was a 'nasty' lump, but we won't know what it is until the next week or two when the results for the tests on it come back. But I'm just glad to get her back, and I at least know that the lump removal was probably the right thing to do considering.

She's still doing fine. Still has a little fluid near her elbow, but she seems happy enough. SLept most of today, poor thing. I have to take her for a check-up on Thursday and then it's a case of waiting for the dreaded results for that 'nasty lump'.

Ugh been having such a bad reminising time of late. I just don't want to think about him anymore, I want him to be free, as this is clearly what he wants. But I seem to be missing him so much of late. I've tried looking out for new people again, but no-one is right. maybe it's because it's not him, I don't know. I just keep slipping into sadness, feeling so lonely, missing him.Wishing just to simply talk once more... I miss my mandychu too though so much atm. Yet without funds to ring her, I can't simply call

I wish she'd call me sometime...I just hope she is ok... like I hope with all my heart that he is okie... even though I shouldn't be thinking that way...

Then I had this morning. I was playing Assassin's Creed before going to work. I stopped at a saved check point then went to put my ratties back as they had been asleep on my bed. I just happened to feel it. A lump under poor Faith's arm.... just like the last ones that probably killed Ni-ni. Tried my best to keep calm, but I was shaken. Sam at work picked up on it. It was just remebering Ni-ni. I know she did so well, but I guess it's not knowing how Faith will react. I took her to the vet who confirmed the 'usual' that it's bet to just get rid of it regardless, could be nothing, but they would likely have to send it off to confirm, that rats do fairly well under anesthetic first time, but the more it's used the more their safe is in jeopardy. Why does this have to happen to such beautiful and loving creatures. I'm so scared of her going for her op (which is booked for Monday) even though I've through it plenty of times with Ni-ni, knowing in my heart she'd be fine. It scares me now with Faith. I just keep hugging her. Mind I seem to be exceptionally emotional... again... atm.... I've been watching Series 5 of Angel (I promised myself previously Id only finish it with him, but I'm watching it to prove myself stronger than such thinking). I just keep crying. Mind the first episode on disc 4 if just plain cruelty. When you've given up all hope they go 'here you go' and then take it all back... and then ep 4...yet another cruelty on the same disc.... your thinking by disc 5 ep 1 just the same as all the characters... it's not what it seems...it will somehow be ok... when they tell you.. no... it's gone... forever....felt like a fountain... so cruel....just hope something extraordinary is wing it's way in these final discs (which I'm sure it will consideringther genious of Joss Whedon and co.).... just ugh...oh well... probs just silly me being stupid as ever... best just hug my Faithy and not think such ways... I'll go and get her another new slipper as her and her sister enjoy munching them so much.. so she has a lovely freshone for after her op... oh will I have to separate them to stop anya attacking the stitches... ra....why my poor ratties.. this is so unfair...why can't I just swap and take these things away from the. I love you so much my Ni-ni in the heavens... I love you my Faithy, please keep being you... and of course I love my Anya too... your still so much more incredibly bold.. #[Looking Up and Loving It!]

Phwee! :3 No idea what is happening with the world. I just had a nice weekend wth parent-types and BOTH my little bros, on top of finding Uni okies, my illustration tutor asking to see my manga work (unbelieveable I know), liking my new job (even though wearing a 'I love Fat Chris' t-shirt is gonna take it's toll on me a bit), finally getting the internet in my new place and now I'm getting a copy of photoshop (dream beyond all dreams)

. Gosh, give me a nice guy in the mix and I'd be living the dream, but hey can't ask for more, when I'm getting way more than I deserve.

At the weekend, I went to see the fireworks display at Cranleigh. We went annually for a while when I was younger, but then we tried a few other places and visited the Cranleigh show on sparidoc occasions through out. But for the last 4 or so years now we have stuck with Cranleigh. It's been nice going, as it's a faimly trip which we can reminsce and enjoy. This year was the best it had been in ages. It's always a nice display, but it was a really something this year. For the first time since I can remember they had no music playing. You could hear the crowd go 'ooohhh'...'ahhhh'... though because it was so unusal to hear this as cranleigh everyone laughed after each sigh of excitement, as no-one intended to make the noise, but it just kinda leapt off everyone's lips because the display was so good. So kudos to the Cranleigh Lions for another awesome free display (well we donated our bit to the charity).

On Sunday we went to London Dungeons. I've wanted to go for years, but I have never been. I was very close when I was about 12, but we got to the front and then the older of my little bros chickened out (you'd giggle if you met him now, to think that the now 20 year old tall guy was such a chicken

). Anyways we got to go, though the tube meant we had to walk from Blackfriars due to maintance on the line we wnated. Mind it was a lovely walk. Got to walk along the riverside. We went past the Globe Theatre replica and the Columbus ship replica (which has intrigued me as I have wanted a closer look for a while), so that was cool. When we got in the first thing I saw was a glass dsplay case with a big chain and bits of a canvas bag strung up like little hammocks. I said to Aaron (the 20 year old) that it would be perfect for ratties! Low and behold there they were. Lots of beautiful ratties enjoying their fab themed enviroment. I made the noises I make for my ratties and one came totting over and sniffed at the glass edge. She had a lovely coat! The whole to the dungeons was really well done. We were in there way over 2 hours! Really well split out into rides, talks and walks, though all leading on to one another like a longtour, though each bit a very unique experience. Very well done. Though there was this one bit where this doctor was saying about the great plague. There was a sheet covering a table with wat was meant to be the form of the most recent victim of the plague. The doctor started pulling out all these fake (but looking very realistic) organs. Then he pulled out the 'bladder', licked it, said it was still fresh and squeezed it. Water must have squirted out. I say must have as something like water caught me right in the eye. Really hurt as I wear contacts too, so it can be a little dangerous, well it was enough to make me say something like, 'he aimed for me the b...' (well I said the last word, but what I next say will give it away). By the time I reached the last word the whole group of people in the room had already fallen silent, and a burst of laughter came out of my expletive. Then the Doctor said 'Did you just call me a 'Bar Steward?' Very funny stuff. I really didn't mean to say what I said, luckily there was only one kid in the room, but it really made atmosphere for the whole thing. Also at the end I got another rattie plusie! Yays!

But yesh, can't believe all the yayness

Just got told off for out of date journal. But I have no net at home still... lousy landlord. I've never met someone so dim. Must put up all my new artwork. I have so much to go up. It will happen I promise. Mind lots of it is uni related. Umm so yes, still suffer from depression which is fun, but have started uni, about 5 weeks in now. Feel so lazy sometimes, even though I am working too (in Gamestation

- ok only as an xmas temp but something for now... plus 25% discount and I got Pro Evo 2008 2 days early!!!!!

). Umm I guess it's because the work i do do I.m enjoying, like right now I'm 'learning' (read as messing around) photoshop which is awesome. We have illustrator and indesign too. Very harsh finding what I have missed out on. Little things I have toiled over in PaintShopPro which are done in seconds. Tis a bit gutting, not that I'll ever be able to afford it for myself. Missing the net lots. For my Xbox clan matches, my SD friends etc. I'm just not in uni enough to use it like this (recreationally). Very ra! but neverymind. Made lots of new friends and had fun dressing up for evening. Just gutted I missed the MCM Expo as I had a project to complete which I had really struggled with so it kept me going up until the deadline. My friend from uni on here

has some of her work up including her piece for the same project. I really must update.

Anyways I hope your all well, and I miss you all lots!

Hopefully my next entry will be 'Yay internet back'

I'm actually going to try and enter Tokyopop's 'Rising Stars of Manga' for once. After all this 'I'm not good enough' the best I can do is try and get the experience for when I am ready. I'll probs end up trying to re-do the whole lot, but the least I can do is try!

This is because the day before my birthday I was taken to Whipsnade Zoo (sister-zoo to London Zoo) and told I could adopt any animal I liked. It had to be an endangered species as programmes to keep the species going in zoos have always meant alot to me. They had no snow leopards there (which would have been my first choice - look at my character design for creature - 'Igtica'

), so it had to be the red panda. I've always been partial to them and they are in need of the help. Plus my very close-encounter with one in Dublin Zoo somehow added to my love of them. It's a shame I was so sad that day, but seeing the little faces of the red pandas staring down from the big oak tree in their enclosure was lovely! It was nice to see they had such a good enclosure. They seemed so happy

Before going to Whipsnade I visited Ni-ni! Her grave headerstone is so beautiful. It really stands out. The cementary is so pretty anyways, but now Ni-ni's bit feels complete. As I lay down the bunch of yellow rose that I'd brought for her (I loved buying yellow for Ni-ni, I like to think she was partial to it, it's my fave colour and such a happy colour), I felt happy. I felt like Nienna was happy. I looked at the little photo of her on her headstone and I could feel the warmth and happiness that always surrounded her. Maybe it's all inside of me, but I felt that she was extra happy for her gift, my visit and my happy birthday wish (it was the day before what would have been her 3rd birthday). It's a shame I don't feel that she's passed on, like she's still with me wherever I go, still trying her best. I hope more than anything that she will feel she doesn't need to look after me soon as can be. But for now, I'm still for ever gracous for whatever presence she has and has ever had with me.

Wows what an expo! I took a day off work on the Friday and it just seems like it was a whole world away. The minute I landed was the beginning of many adventures! Well to be honest I had already set it up to be a little weird due to my sleep deprivation I was a bit mad not sleeping at all on Wednesday night due to working on the doujinshi, then only 4 hours on the Thursday night as I came how from work at 8pm (falls over) and had to get up at 4am to catch my plane! I remember checking my gate several times as there were a load of people that got called for Paris at that gate (I flew with Airfrance for once). I lulled around, my flight was mentioned, but nothing came up on the screen. I had the originals for the doujinshi on my lap. I was petrified that they would get ruined in my suitcase. It was so awesome looking at all of the pages together in this way. I just kept reading it over and over, in awe I had a story illustrated so beautifully in such a variety of styles. Next thing I know they are announcing a last call for London for me!!!!! I was sitting in front of the desk. The stewardesses didnÂt seem too impressed but I got my plane! Even though I never saw the few other people get on. All this Âyou are holding up the flightÂ talk and then it turned out we had to wait on the runway due to London delaying permission to land. I donÂt know the rest I was so out of it I drifted off (not like me at all). Next thing I know this stewardess is handing me breakfast (oo i never had brekkie on a plane before as I fly with Ryanair normally). Then another hole and then I remember just looking out of the window to see the cloud disappear above us and the millennium dome filling the window! What an awesome sight to see as your landing! IÂd never landed at London City Airport before. Very cute little airport, but very impressive. Feels like a diddy Gatwick or Heathrow. I normally fly into Gatwick due to the fact where I used to live was so close to it. It was very odd coming out of LCA and getting on the DLR (itÂs on the opposite side of the split from Canning Town to Excel), thinking IÂd be back again tomoz. I ended up spending my morning in Camden Town visiting a friend, chatted to so many random people (I was ages talking to the girl in the corset shop ‘

. Was very pleased to find ÂSai SaiÂ open as I wanted to buy something new to wear at the expo. The girl who ran the shop is always so lovely. Been a while since IÂd been to Camden. I just remember falling in love with a white lotlia top and skirt that was on a model on the door. I was trying to find it when the girl came over. She actually recommended them to me. I loved the lettering pattern on it. Looked quite death note-ish. Then getting back to see my bro and the printers was a bit mad due to all the flooding (I got soaked in Camden). The train line I take runs down to the coast so there were no trains pretty much! But I got lucky and even though the train had to stop for a while (and I helped a man I met on the train get home too) I made it to the printers. Lol I had a weird evening as I went out to see my friends and ended up getting Harry Potter at 12.

Expo day was weird. Walked through the town centre of where I used to live in my Lolita wear and everyone was looking at me. ItÂs not the first time IÂd done it, it was just so much more pronounced for some reason this time. Met my lovely best friend Mandychu and then spent time on the train putting together the doujinshi reserved copy sets. When we got to the expo Mandychu needed to get changed. I went with her and waitied. She was a lot longer than I thought sheÂd be, so I checked the time and it was 12.11!!! I was 11 mins late for the meet so I ran to the SD table to find the mini crowd there! Lol people jumped in to get their copies Was great to meet Badly Shaded finally! (IÂm so sorry at my reaction!!! I blame sleep deprivation!- completely not like me!). He disappeared rather quickly again which I felt a bit bad for, as I wanted to discuss his beautiful pages. I loved how he portrayed the flight scene so much! I saw a lot of Kuroda! IÂm so pleased she made it. She was just as shocked as me with the coments concerning the doujinshi. She helped me run around and find people. So many peoples have had one, I would like one! No idea if anyone will actually enter, but still

I need something fresh and new to represent me here on DA. I kinda would like to know what peoples think would best represent me. Therefore it be a new avatar contest.

= Details=

The rules are simple. Create an avatar which fits the DA avatar guidelines, which you think could represent me here on DA. I do have my own character designs as well as my namesake creature if you want to stick to the visualisation I have had in the past (see my gallery ~ oh i have dark brown hair now). Or it could be something that represents my emotions or my character. If you look back, my previous icons have been usyagi (the bunny from CLAMP's Wish) flying with a rose message, and also a Clefairy blowing bubbles. So really it can be anything. It can be animated or still, or have some moving feature to a still image. I don't mind if it is or isn't pixel-art, so really a free rein!
