Hi, everyone,

Congratulations to ~myrror and ~elaria, who both captured the 777th page view recently! They will both receive a piece of art from me, subject of their choosing.

As mentioned in my last journal entry, I am only half here this month, and I will probably continue to only be around occasionally through September. I am moving to Toronto next week and setting up an apartment with a good friend. Then, a few weeks later, classes start at the University of Toronto, so I will be away doing school things and getting accustomed to being back in classes. I am still doing artwork when I have a spare hour or two, and I am especially trying to catch up on things at Bishen Realm. Events for Eorl's Honor are on hold until I have more free time, as role playing is more time consuming than doing an occasional piece of art.

Check my LiveJournal for random personal updates in the meantime, and good luck to all of you who are headed back to school.
This month I am working on finding an apartment and moving up to Toronto to get ready for the start of graduate school in September, so I'll be around every so often. I don't really have time or inclination to do any artwork, but we'll see what comes up. In the meantime, hope you all are having a good summer!

Okay, I settled on a font for my deviantID, as well as got the Elijah Wood wallpaper I wanted to make finished. Yay! Early Saturday morning I will be leaving for Florida, and I will be there until the 26th, so try not to bombard me while I'm gone, okay?

Maybe I'll get some time to draft some things on the plane. After I get back, I will be heading to Canada shortly after to apartment search and later moving up there to prepare for graduate school in the fall, so I'll be a busy girl come August. Don't be surprised if I'm not around a whole lot.

In other news, I finished The Dead Zone and The Dark Tower V: The Wolves of Calla, as well as listened to The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul. Now, I have One Last Time (John Edward), The Dark Tower VI: Song of Susannah (Stephen King), and Princess in Pink: The Princess Diaries, Volume V (Meg Cabot) to keep me busy for a bit. It will be sad when I have to stop with the library runs... *sigh* But, I am going to enjoy it while I can!

Hope everyone is having an excellent July! Thank you to everyone who has been visiting, watching, and picking out favorites from my art!

Okay, I'm looking to see what font I want to use on my new ID (the Gratira one, which was posted earlier this week). I'm made up a font test and posted in in my scrapbook. Please, full view it so you can actually see the fonts correctly. Then, just leave a comment with your favorite font (you can use the numbers I assigned to them).

[link]

In other news, the tablet is still working fine. I'm been working on a few angecur to give away on one of the cyber pet message boards. I also have to get to work on a web graphics set for the Straitjacketeers website and work on getting my main site redone. All in all, I will have things to keep me busy, especially now that I picked up a few books from the library yesterday.

I read The Dead Zone by Stephen King last night. It was a very good book, which I expected it to be considering its source. Also, I have The Dark Tower V: Wolves of Calia to read finally.

Another thing I want to do is make myself an Elijah Wood desktop wallpaper, since I went back to May 1st in the deviantART browsing and didn't find one I liked. We shall see if I can find helpful pictures online...

So, yes, help with the font test, please, and have a great weekend!

Okay, I am finally finished adding the older art and cyber pets to my gallery. My greatest apologies to those of you who did not read my warning in time to disable notifications and ended up with over 100 new deviations... (*cough* Ah, sorry, ~HeartlessTiger ... heh). Obviously, now that my old art is all up, you won't have to worry about such a flood again.

My gallery has been overtaken by cyber pets. o_o And I didn't even post all of them... Nowhere near all of them. Wow, no wonder I have no free time. It all goes into cyber pets! Oh well, love them too much to give them up!

In other news, yes, my tablet is working. I'm still not sure if I am going to run into new problems, but the tools are working, which is a definite improvement. I think I will try to work on some pixel art for a contest today. First, however, I have to catch up on message boards. lol And, of course, watch the Boston Pops esplanade show on television! The best Fourth of July celebration in the nation, as far as I'm concerned! Of course, I might be biased, since I live in the state.

So, yes, tons of art uploaded to the gallery, scanner, printer, and tablet all working at the same time... life is good!

Hey hey, DA Readers!

As an update, I recently got the new SuSE linux platform (9.1) installed on my updated computer (new motherboard, second hard drive, new processor, new RAM, etc.). Everything works with the exception of my Wacom tablet. *death* The scanner magically fixed itself, to my surprise. *shrugs* At least it's better now. Anyways, since my tablet isn't working in SuSE, that means I have to do new works in Adobe Photoshop 5.0 LE under my Windows Me installation (kept on the older hard drive as a backup for programs that only run under Windows). I will be doing Bishel Dragons and possibly some other art on there, but I won't be doing any Eorlan since the bases are in GIMP format, which Photoshop cannot read. Eorlan items will be done, but additions, breedings, and starters will have to wait.

In other news, I am going to be redoing my DA gallery. I will be adding all my old art, some of my best older cyberpets, and all my new cyberpets. Based on a poll I took from my friends, I am going to eliminate my on-site gallery and put all my art on deviantART. I am also going to start including cyberpets in the gallery, since most people wanted to be able to browse the different pets and styles.

Anyway, I hope you're all having a great summer so far! In a few weeks I will be going to Florida for a bit. Then, in August, I start packing up and heading up to Canada for my first year at the University of Toronto! Man, summer flies... hopefully I will get all this stuff done.

Well, it is finally summer. I'm busy with cyberpets (both adopting them and adopting them out) and my websites. I'm not working, which is a nice break. I head off to graduate school in the fall. I'm going to the University of Toronto for Musicology. My best friend Jules also is going there, which is nice. We get to search Toronto for an apartment... yay!

In other news, I have damaged my scanner. I was pushing down a book on it, and I must have pushed too hard, because the little scanning thing inside got jammed (darn cheap scanner...). Now, when it starts scanning, it starts about 2 inches in from the top instead of at the top. Oh dear... I wonder if I can take it apart and fix it? *ponders*

Oh well. I will try to post things that aren't strictly cyberpets for my agencies. If you want to see the cyberpets I draw, go to my website collective and check out Bishen Realm and Eorl's Honor. I can't do any major digital works until I get my computer revamped though, because it has been acting up all year and it won't save large graphics files correctly. It keeps crashing out when I try to work on the Indrianna portrait I was doing, so I haven't been able to touch that, lest the file become corrupted. I plan on getting in the new computer parts soon, disappearing for a few days to a week while I rebuild it and install the new SuSE Linux edition, then having a better computer. We shall see if things go as planned... lol

I hope everyone else's summer is going well... or winter, depending on where you live.

Peace and the Force,
Gah, hair!
*select* *delete*

Yeah, tried the hair, but it was terrible. Guess I'll have to look up a few more hair tutorials... I don't suppose anyone has any good ones? I like the one on the "Learn Stuff" page, but it's also good to see how different people do the same thing.

So, yes, thus far we have a badly shaded sweater and a face.... and a big red blob for the chair and a few skin-toned blotches for the hands. Of course, I've only put in 3.75 hours so far, so I don't know what I was expecting to have. Maybe hair...

Bah, hair.

EDIT: Correction. I have nothing except for blotches of color because my computer crashed and somehow managed to revert the saved work file and its copy to their previous version, thus losing all the 3 hours of work I did on the face of the portrait. I'm going to kill it...

*repeats to self* "It's only a picture. I can paint it over."

Gah... *depression*
I'll repaint it... and it will be better. Yes, that's it. Better.

EDIT #2: Okay, I have a face again. This time it only took me about 2 hours. Now, there's still the hair problem though...

Well, I really wanted to do a huge work involving the Peterson twins. The Peterson girls are from a Harry Potter fanfic that my sister and I started writing. It basically shoves us into Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone as 11-year-old twins. (This is not completely wrong and impossible, as Rowling was kind enough to leave a convenient gap in her books. There are currently two Gryffindor girls in Harry's year that have remained unnamed.) It was chiefly written to amuse ourselves. It has its moments though, and I know several people who really like it (mostly my friends, so they could just be amused by the idea of me at Hogwarts... lol). It hasn't been updated in over a year, but it hasn't been abandoned. My sister and I are both busy with college. Hopefully, more will be written this summer, when we're both going to be home at the same time finally. If you are interested, it's on the Creator Space.

The Peterson Twins and the Untold Secrets

So, anyways, I was thinking about doing a huge work involving the girls. Then, however, I realized that 1) I'm still experimenting with new painting styles, and 2) I'm very slow at the moment because I am still learning how to do this. Therefore, I backed off a bit, and instead, I'm going to try just a partial portrait of one of the girls first and see how that goes. So, yes, I am working on a new piece. How long will it take? How will it turn out? Who knows...

Also, thank you anyone who has friended me or commented on my works recently. My network is being horribly slow, so I haven't been taking the time to comment to each of you individually. I do appreciate it very much, though.

Mua ha ha ha haaaa! Finally, I have been able to upload my avatar. All hail the psychedelic, sparkly beanie that is Disco. Bow, I say, bow!

*clears throat* Anyways, I might start to work on something tonight... although it is already late, so I really shouldn't. I spent the entire day working on updating the webpages for The Room of Requirement, as well as attending the Biology Seniors' Potluck. Mmm, food. Tomorrow, I get to ride up to Milwaukee to attend Easter dinner with one of my friends' families. Uberfun.

G'night, people. Enjoy the worshiping of the Disco.

Yay, I got a bunny in the mail! Not a real one... a little stuffed bunny. My grandmother sent me a small box of Easter stuff, and the stuffed bunny was inside. So cute...

I have finished putting up some of my art. I ended up being choosy about what I posted here. A lot of my works I just stuck away in the archives, especially things from before 2002. Hopefully I will start posting better stuff here. I just recently finished the Ice Cave Dragon Queen, so I might not have another big work for a bit. We shall see...

Thank you, everyone, for the warm welcome to deviantART!

Anyway, I have joined the deviantART community finally. It seems that everyone is on here. Plus, they have that awesome option to sell prints, which will make my life much easier. I'll probably spend today trying to get all my artwork posted.

So, yeah, hi, everyone.
