The Inkscape community today releases Inkscape 0.43, an Open Source Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) drawing tool available for  Unix/Linux variants, Mac OS X, and Windows.

The focus of this release is on the exciting new features sponsored by Google through their Summer of Code (SoC) program which provided funding for four individuals to contribute to Inkscape.

This group was established to be a "hub" for all of the DA inkscapers out there. We're looking to show off what inkscape can do (through your work), as well as looking to get the word out there about Inkscape.

Other than linking to artwork created with inkscape, this will also be a place where people can submit artwork and icons to the inkscape project itself... and at some point we may do fun competitions as most other groups do.

We will also be trying to keep our group as clean as possible, to make it appropriate for the widest audience that we can... so don't expect too much "devious" stuff here.
