and i find myself wondering alot lately, about how this whole journey is going to turn out. i wish it had a fast foward button, maybe sometimes a pause. and the beautiful moments never last long enough and the ones that make you want to cry, never seem to end. and my best friend is on the other side of the world and i can't even look at a picture of her without feeling lonely. i think you know you are lucky when someone understands you better than you understand yourself.

and so i sit back and stare at my open journal, i gaze at every word i have written and everyone i am yet to write and just wonder about that feeling. when you are on a role, when you feel yourself beginning to break down the barriers of self doubt and just start to touch the surface of who you really are. its like being on a roller coaster. but so often it stops. almost subconiously and it think thats the bit i wonder about the most. why can't i know me. why won't i let me know me.

perhaps there in lies our eternal stuggle.

and the world seems so much bigger now and hotels feel like home. how do you take it all in, experience every moment of life. Let yourself fall gracefully into each second without hesitation. and its cold outside, a cold i have never experienced before. and i feel my breath taken by the beauty of the bare trees hazy landscape. my mind is full of thoughts and yet my pages are still empty. it is as if i am overcome with emotion. like a sensery overload. and my heart now knows why it has been yearning all these years to cross the world just to walk the banks of the Seine, to sit in a cafe on Boulevard St. Germain and take in the world through the eyes of some amazing writer or philosopher. she took my breath away and she stole my heart. Hemingway was right, Paris truely is a moveable feast.

and the days go by and i am still not home yet and i wonder about the things i will do when i return and how much life has changed since i have been gone. and it is like looking at the world as if you are not in it. and i will try to fit back into my world soon, feeling a little bit older and with a sense that i know now what lies around the corners of the globe.

and as the days warm into spring, i find myself investing in coats, boots and thermals. and it all seems very back to front. i have a month to go and i havn't even really thought about an itinary yet. i know i should but i don't know where to start. Europe seems so big and the lonely planet quide only makes it more overwhelming. any suggestions greatly appreciated. good places to see, eat, stay. Let me know please!

just went for a walk on the beach. its just so beautiful, the best place to contemplate life i think. when there is so much to do and not enough hours in the day, i feel like i just want to run away from it all and find a little shack on the beach and life there forever.
life just seems to be getting so fast and so busy. it took me four trips to the post office, endless queues and much frustration to just get my passport application sent off. its just silly! anyway a holiday is in order, so i think i just might take one.

I'm leaving on the 7th of October for London. my first trip overseas. i'm a bit nervous actually but i can't wait. so i've got 2 months. I'm staying with my best friend Courtney in the lovely Cholchester and we also so we might just have to go for a look around Europe. i have dreamed of seeing Paris forever! anyone know a good coffee shop there? If anyone has any ideas or suggestions of places to visit please let me know. i want to see all the non tourist things, lots of art and stuff.

Can't wait!

Journal...

Oh its been a while. I have moved house and subsequently have no internet yet, so not much deviant action. Hopefully lots more soon.

How is it that days just slip away from you. I just can't find a moment to just sit and watch the world go by anymore. I guess trying to work three different jobs is kinda why. I'll explain.

So...

Job no. 1:

is my little empire with my best friend

We are a little company that make handbags, jewellery, printed t's, unique journals and handmade scarves. Check us out if you like one off creations with an artistic flair.

Job no. 2: I am in the the middle of creating a play "Behind the Mind" for a high school drama festival. I am helping to help write, direct, design and create costumes and of course photograph a cast of 13 crazy teenagers. Much much fun. My latest devations are of the photoshoot we did on Monday. Really happy with how the girls looked.

and last but never least my job as a Food and Beverage attendent at the local arts centre. Not much but it keeps me in art supplies, wool and material oh and rent and food.

so there we go, a little look into my busy life. I've decided that maybe I should just pay more attention to the world when I am busy. Maybe i'll learn something..

Sorry its been a while, had that horrible flu everyone seems to be getting at the moment. Feeling a bit better now, trying to work out where I was in my life. I've somehow lost a week into thin air.

Oh yeah and i found out i am allergic to all NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) including asprin and panadol so there was kinda nothing i could do to get better except sleep. Had some crazy dreams though.
