I spent the day rearranging my pictures in my house and here in DA, adding new paintings, taking better scans of the old ones, AND addind them to the Print Service.

My last five entries are all (attempts of) abstract pictures. I really enjoyed painting them, with the right mood, with the right music in background, with the right people around. Quite hypnotic.

They are different landscapes, and the common thing between them is that I used masking fluid to preserve the lights and to create different color layers.

Do you know the secret to not destroy your brush with masking fluid? Is diping the brush in some liquid soap before using it, and repeating this operation during the process. I still have mu brushes in perfect conditions.

Weird things about me? ME??? MOI??? Impossible! ... err... ok let's start:

1. Remembering birthdays, anniversaries and names is a TRAGEDY; otherwise I can easily rember number sequences, like phone numbers, but...
2. ... I hate phones
3. I humanize everything, even objects (I can see a face on everything I'm gazing)
4. Throwing away something is a real PAIN, so I have collections of empty pens, old cloths, cinemas tickets...
5. Every time an electrical/mechanical device makes a bizare noise I inevitably think "OH MY GOD! IT'S EXPLODING!"
6. I could stay for hours staring ants busy life.

Well. Being tagged is a good thing, mostly because you realize you need counselling.

I've added a serie of 4 pictures, another watercolor exercice actually. The main picture is "Spring" which is a reproduction of a photo. Then we where supposed to paint the other 3 seasons, but we also had to change the light source, the shadows and the landscape, according to the season represeted.

I've also added a paint made some evenings ago, it's the main entrance of a cute little medieval village.

I've posted 2 more watercolor exercises, made in the last lesson.
Our teacher words: it's forbidden the use of eraser, it's forbidden to say "I've made a mistake", just be natural and follow your instinct. In the beginning I was petrified about this, but then I had soooo much fun! No rules to follow... I've realized I dont' like rules in art.
