Few things have been going on

First off, my puppy got Parvo, which is a very, very serious disease. When I was young I lost a puppy to Parvo, so of course when Sookie came down sick with it I panicked! First day she got sick and started refusing water and throwing up like crazy, non-stop, I knew something was wrong. The first vet kept her overnight and told me nothing was wrong with her, that she just had an upset tummy. And charged me what amounts to my rent money. He had given her a shot and IV as I requested, and sent her home. Next day she got sick all over again, and we chose a different Vet who gave her an injection of fluids under the skin that would absorb and she wouldnt have to have an IV or wear a cone on her head again. ( Sookie the Space Cadet ) But after about 5 days of worry and forced liquids, she finally started walking around on her own again, and eating some foods.
I have her on a new dog food now, something for sensitive stomachs because Parvo ate away at the stomach lining pretty bad. It's called Chicken Soup for the Pet Lovers Soul - Cheaper than Hills and way, way better. She also got new toys because the other ones were old and had been contaminated with Parvo. She's loving the new toys! Oh, and we're not going to the first vet anymore.

Also, I started my new job!! I love working with books all day

It helps because I spend/spent so much time in the bookstore already, now I know where everything is

On the 12th we will have been in our apartment for one whole month!

It's very nice, Im enjoying it here, it's not too noisy and its a good size for what we are paying! Very glad we found it

Do NOT bake Sculpty at 450 degress F. Your pieces will turn into charcoal!!!!

So yes, I learned my lesson of the day, I accidentally put the oven at 450 because i -thought- that was what I used last time, I was very, /very/ wrong! Yeah, it was supposed to be 275 degrees F. The pieces were only in for 15 minutes, but man are they deformed! They expanded and grew 3 times their size and are kinda squishy, and very dark brown and black

Not exactly what I was going for, but I'm just glad it was some smaller pieces that I was going to add to larger pieces, rather than whole dragon piece - her wouldn't have had room to expand!

Maybe I can salvage them....

Right now I'm in the midst of job hunting, mostly in my own field. I've been working a bit on things around here, but the heat makes everything miserable. The clay is too soft in heat especially. Texas isn't clay working friendly. I've been taking more pictures of the bebeh now that I have found my camera again, maybe those can be posted.

I'm also working on my own poetry collection, Im not sure I want to post them here or not, they are more for my own reflection and expression. Maybe someday I shall post.

Anywho - Wrapped up in family and friends, apartment hunting, job hunting, and peeking into wedding plans slightly. Excitement!

OOOH! I can't wait til the end of the month!! Stephanie will be back from Australia! Yay!

Hello! My name is Sharon and I am 22 years old. I am a "struggling" artist , though right now everything's at a standstill. I have Choroidal Neovascular Membrane Disease (CNVM)

When I was 19 I was diagnosed with CNVM in my left eye. These past 6 months my right eye started showing signs of the same sort and it has now affected me in both eyes. This disease is not something that usually occurs in younger people, it's generally an age related disease that shows up in much, much older people. At the moment I am a student and am perusing an art degree but this has become increasingly difficult and I might have to come back and finish it at a later time, hopefully.

I try my best to keep it together, and though my schooling has suffered.. I have really come to appreciate lots more things in life. I appreciate my friends and family so much more now than I did when I was 18. I know happiness is something that I want first and foremost.

On another note, When I do leave school I plan on trying to work on art from home for myself and for others; not for grades but for pleasure

Been sick here for the last couple days and I must say I've had more than my fair share of these orange pills. My throat hurts from coughing : /

Well, I know it seems really odd.. but I'm totally up on what is cool, and what isn't cool in the crazy world that is fashion. So here is a bunch of tips for all of you who are very cool people, and just struggling to break into that "cool clique" at your local hot spot. These trends (and what not to do's) will get you to the top of the pops in no time.

Mesh backed trucker hats. Although people say they hate these, they are nothing but "t3h sex." Not only are they very fashionable, and trailer park worthy... but they're dirt (no pun intended) cheap. Throw out that "dressed up" look, and join the ranks of the rich trailer trash looking elite. You'll be a better person for it in the end.

Wrist bands with studs, and/or spikes, on them. Nothing says you're a rebellious teen like a piece of leather with some metal in it. However, there is a guideline to go along with it. Just studs? That's emo. Studs and small spikes? You're into pop punk. Just spikes? You're punk rock! And big spikes? You're a motha ####' hardcore scenester! Don't forget, since you're most likely depressed that your parents wouldn't give you an extra twenty bucks this weekend to get drunk with, and you decided to slit your wrists because your life is so horrible... these bracelets can cover that right up!

Shirts with the following words on them: emo, punk, hardcore, rock, or any profane language at all. Nothing says you're cool, and have loads of personality like a "I <3 punk rock" or "Cheer up emo kid" shirt. I mean, come on.. if you don't have the first of those.. you're way behind.. even Britney Spears had one. Are you going to let her be cooler than you? That's very un-punk rock of you.

Faux-hawks. Don't know what I'm talking about? Take your hands.. put them on the side of your face. Run them up your head (with hair in hand) until they meet in the middle. See how it's like you have a mohawk now (without the shaved head)? YAY! Now you have fashionable hair. Make sure you use enough gel so that your hair may never move again... or else you won't be cool. Oh, and ps.. if it's jet black, you'll be cooler.

Holes or rips in clothes. I mean, I know when I get a new pair of pants.. I can't wait until I get home to make a massive rip in them so that it looks like I'm tough... but sometimes you need to wear the pants at the mall.. and you're just not tough enough to rip them on your own, and there aren't scissors at the mall.. so... what do you do? Luckily, fashion experts realized you want to have holes/rips in the knees of your pants, showing that you love to suck [link], and put them there for you! Watch out though, because of the extra work, and less fabric used.. the pants now cost more. But boy, will the girls in your clique ever think you're on top of your game when you show up with them on.

Vintage clothing. I mean, I know it's like, so totally cool to find a super tight, totally retro, t-shirt from Value Village... but sometimes even I'm grossed out by the thought of other people wearing my clothes. So what do I do? Well... I buy new vintage clothes, like.. DUH! Nothing says original better than a shirt, that has the number of a year on it (a year that HAS to be of before you were born, otherwise it's lame).

Make-up. EYELINER PEOPLE, EYE - LINE - R! Make sure you apply lots of thick, black eyeliner.. and don't forget about the uber-cool, super gothic, "the crow" ripoff of the lines out from the eyes. Show your love (or hate) for God/Jesus with a cross (or an upside down cross) on the line.. that's sex appeal, people. Oh, and remember, the whiter your face.. the sexier you are.

Now, for what not to do. Do not buy "Nike" clothing. I mean, can you believe that company still exists? EW! They were so 1990's. Don't buy preppy clothing, that's so 2003. And if you do, wash it a lot first.. so it looks like you were all over that trend before it happened. Oh, and you can get away with it if you buy plain preppy shirts.. just make sure the corporate logo isn't on the chest.

Don't wear any shoes that aren't skate shoes or hooker boots. All other shoes? Ew, that's soooo gross. Skate shoes are cooler than cool (especially Chucks, they're punk rock). They let the skater boys you love know that you except their rebellious souls.. even if they don't skate. Big News! My sister has finally graduated! her ceremony was last saturday, and it was lovely, being as how i was the only one who screamed her name.. then again, i was the escort and closer to the front, ha, i was the escort sucka! Ted and mom showed up a little late, but i was able to call him on the phone and give him directions. Shayna came too. then we all went and had a nice lunch where everyone but Shayna got to eat, lol.

13 days left in school, doesnt seem like it took too long, but hey, time flies when you're doing busy work. Speaking of, my last project's going to have SWIRLS in it, because im not a square! and it will express emotions! what emotions? EMOTIONS MAN! god, you just dont GET art!

weeee!

Prom was great, i mean, a real blast. i danced my ass off, my feet hurt, and i got quite a few dance requests. made me feel good. They didn't play all the songs we requested, except for Ice, Ice baby and i danced that song, oh how i danced that song., me, shayna, and like 5 other girls did the grind to it, hehehe. i was in the front, cuz i was the last to get over there, lol. i even got a dance in with Nick, he tried showing me the seawalk, and i tried, but i just am not cordinated enough to do it. bah. none the less, im so glad i went. i really had fun, me and rene danced on both sides of kyle, made him look pimp.

My hair was pretty, my nails were... ok, and my dress looked shiney. Feet hurt from all the dancing, i think we danced to almost every song that came on, even country, loo, danced like ballerinas with shayna. Now im a'sippin a strawberry lime-aid and listening to kyle complain because he's not on the computer, ha!

I still need to talk to that guy who lives around the block from me, kinda weird that he sees me and knows where i live and ihave no idea where hes at.. i think hes right behind me or something. Dont even know his name, and hes been in the english class all year, lol.

ruined my date with paul, figures. but i can allways try and get another date, or just go with a bunch of friends.. hmm.. lemme think, uh, friends? psh-yeah.

Anyways, andrew put a really nice list of things he loves about amanda, ya know he never did things like that for me, haha, what a waste of time. And a major mistake i wish i hadnt made... if i knew then what i know now, i think i would have done differenly. BUT, i cant change that now. ( you should look at the list)

i went and had those senior photos done, really are nice, i was surprised on how pretty i actually looked in them, because hey im not that photogenic. Other news, we found a new house out of town, sorta, its out of city limits. not nice, but it's not tooooo horrible. wanted to have a part and blow up firecrackers and neat stuff, but i dont really want people to see where we're moving too juss yet. i need to call a few people to invite to my Graduation party. including josh, who might of made me feel bad, but he NEVER rubbed my face in it to make me feel like shit. and that's one of the nicest things i think he's done. and that, people, is a true friend. im thinking about inviting jessica and lauren too, just for more people, lol. it should be fun, we got alot of grub planned, chinese my planning, cheryls got other foods planned. SO, i have myself a prom date, and man, its funny how fast people hear about that kinda thing. i asked paul to take me, and he said he would, woo! im not going stag! really is funny too, candice went up to rene couple days ago to tell her about me asking paul.. i didnt think he'd tell everyone he knew, lol.

Anyways, i need to go get me some new shoes, i got this oriental scarf from my mom, woo! dont know how im going to style my hair, i need suggestions on how to do that, i want it up but i want it to have hair framing my face.. gotta have the dress altered a little too, and soon.

All's well in my life, here recently my sister has decided that she is going to have her house built, its out in the 7000 hundred block of 85'th street, She's allready picked out her brick and windows and doors and carpets, and.. paint.. and umm.. everything else i guess, she's had a feild day with it, lol. so today was nice!

i got a Josie's burrito from shayna, and derek gave me the free soda he got out of the coke machine, i started the new project in art 4, and i got to move seats, haha!

i came home and slept til around 8:30-9, havent heard from Spanks since earlier, i still think its "convienant" that him and jameson were absent on the same day.

i liked the assignment in art today, i drew a great chicken on my picture, and someone turned it into a pirate chicken... i liked it the way it was though.

jerks, couldnt leave a good thing alone. i actually heard music i liked, lol, that regge metal song of shaynas made the day extra special, lol.

i'm not looking forward to xmas break, because i do NOT want to go in and have my mouth fucked with. and before xmas at that. but, i can say that i do get a special holiday thing to myself, i was promised a steak because i get my teeth out, and i get the best kind of soup there is, yay. i think i get logans, not TLC, but hey, expensive steak is expensive steak.

i hated the guitar picture, but then i went in during the art one class to work on it.. suddenly, i didnt feel so bad! sure would appreciate a friend bringing those colored pencils though.. *cough* joseph *cough*

i had to promise Mr. JAMA a paiting. i told him i'd make a giant apple, since he eats them all the time. i swear, he almost had screamed at me. apparently i dont sit in his class and do nothing, enough.
