Hello.

Yes, i know. It has been awfully quiet on this page for a year and 3 months. Dead quiet infact. Don't worry though: I never stopped lurking around on here, so i do know what you've been up to. Keeping mum is one thing, but to not stay informed on the many events in all of your busy lives would be outrageously insensitive indeed.

Besides, reading your rants makes me happy. And i still am happy. Just as happy as i was on the 9th of January 2007. I never expected to love my job quite as much as i do. The people there are so fun to work with, and they trust me and respect me (which is a big deal).

It was ironic to read that i was so impatiently looking forward to getting my drivers license. Things didn't go as smooth as i expected. (<- understatement). In fact; I still don't have my license. It's my resolution for this year, and I'm not looking forward to it this time.

2006 was a good year, that much is true. But 2007 topped it. I moved to the city, quit the scouts and finally met someone who i want to spend the rest of my life with. When i sum it up like that it does sound like I'm taking the fast lane to the quiet life in suburbia, but it doesn't feel like that at all. So meh. *shrugs shoulders*

There are a few things i should tell you:

First of all: Good news: I found a job!

Joy to the world.

And i'll tell you even more; it's a job i realy wanted. It's a position at the IT department of a public center for social wellfare (OCMW) of a town not too far from here. I'm starting next week, so i don't know for sure yet, but i think i'm gonna love working there.
I'm quite proud of finding a job actualy. See; there are plenty of people who have a low opinion of me. My two brothers, for example. The fact that i was unemployed (for a couple of years) didn't quite play in my advantage. I don't expect them to think any higher of me, but now atleast i can tell myself that they are wrong to do so.
You know; I used to put things off by saying: "That's for some day when i work and earn money." Now that time is rapidly drawing nearer. It's quite scary. Once you start working all kinds of stuff becomes an option, doesn't it?

Secondly: The driving is realy starting to go well. I'm anxious to go do my exam, but i have to wait till the 7th of March. That's 9 months from the day the i passed my theoretical exam. Merde.

Thirdly: This page might -atlast- have been discovered by some of my scouts. I haven't decided yet if i'm gonna let that 'limit' me here.

2006 Has been -all in all- a rather good year. I feel like i've grown as a person, and -more importantly- like i've gotten my life back on track. I'm moving again. The fact that i now have a job might even suggest i'm moving forward.
I have some regrets too though, one of which is losing contact with 3 of my 'treasured sweethearts'.

Hmm ..Enough ranting for one journal.

I made an opointment. Not because i had to, but because i had a cavity in my upper left wisdom tooth. "Better to be safe than sorry", i thought. "I better get this filled now, before the tooth has to be pulled'... yet thàt was exactly what she did. Turned out though, it was a tooth with 3 roots. "Really quite a rarity in wisdom teeth", she tells me in her uplifting enthousiastic way. All the same too me, except that i have a 'rarily seen' big hole in my gums now. It's gargantuan. It took 3 stitches to sew me back together.

Coincidently, i had my hair cut yesterday. I had one side done shorter than the other. Is there a link between that and the pulling of my tooth, you ask? Why, yes there is. Wisdom has always been my strength (well; more than physical strength anyway) So in a wierd Samson-like way there is thus some poetic justice to be found in losing both my left hair ànd wisdom tooth.

Maybe i think too much.

This is not true -> i'm still alive.

Quite alive infact.

I'm doing an internship at Vacature to complete my course as a pc & network technician. I leave home at 07.30, and get home again at 19.30 every day. That's because i have to take a bus, two trains and another bus to get here (Groot-Bijgaarden, near Brussels). Travelling càn be boring; who knew. An mp3-player or a laptop would ease my suffering.

You could say i haven't been very active creatively but alas, you'd be wrong there too. Quite recently i was asked to do a poster and a flyer for a theatre-production. Gonna be fun seeing my work put up in public!

Due to me being so busy i haven't talked to people on msn in weeks. I'm not at home at all anymore these days. Summer has been so much fun already, and the best things are yet to come! Still ... I miss my treasured sweethearts.

2 days till my birthday; yay

In other news; stay off belgian roads -> i'm learning how to drive. Staying focussed is the hard part.

Oh, almost forgot; i've been working on a Mac for a good week now, and i'm loving it! I mean serious contentment here; My next computer might not be a PC

It's now 23.40 and i'm gonna make this one a quicky cause i feel like watching a movie.

We had a bbq-dinner in our backyard tonight. My grandparents came over which is fun because they are cool people. In case you were wondering ... My grandmother was amazed at what my sister can do with her toes so that's where the title of this journal came from.

My eldest brother talked to me today. That was the first time in 6 months -i think. My grandmother asked me when i'm finally gonna get my drivers liscense and i said i've been meaning to for quite some time, but i hadn't come around to it yet. At that point my brother made a remark, half under his breath. I didn't let that slip (this time) so i asked him to speak up. He apparently thinks that's the case with everything in my life -> that "i've been meaning to but that i haven't got around to it yet".

So now i know what's bothering him .. though i don't know why yet. Maybe i don't want to know, maybe i don't care.

So yeah, family has upsides but downsides too.

When i feel down (which happens) i can see what he's talking about. Yeah, i have missed chances, i've screwed up opportunities and made wrong choices but -and that's what i tell myself then- so do a lot of other people. It's never too late to pick up the pieces, right? Besides, i did/do some things right.

Hmm, instead of running circles in my head; i'm gonna do what i usualy do: watch a movie.

So the idea is to name 6 weird and/or personal things about ourself and then to make people suffer by doing the same, but I am not going to tag anyone but feel free to do it if you are interested

1) Whenever i've got the hiccups i think of the pope. Not sure why but it has been that way for as long as i remember.

2) When i open a bottle of cola i have to have a pair of scissors at the ready to cut off the plastic thingy of the cap. It's a compulsive thing.

3) Being gay runs in my family.

4) I have a shy bladder. It's impossible for me to pee when someone's in a visible 3 meter radius.

5) My grandmothers name is Leia and that's cool.

6) Instead of being round; my right eye has more of a rugby-ball shape. It's not noticeable (i hope) but it's not 100% correctable either.

He looked genuinely dissapointed but i wanted to get rid of him, so i tried to do just that:
"Well, i don't know of any other quiet spots here, we're in the middle of the city."
A waiter came over to tell the guy he was bothering customers and after some appologising the guy dissapeared.

Later i couldn't stop thinking about him; i don't know why. Piece of mind -to me- is not something you go looking for like it's a place in the park or on your favorite couch. It's an inner search (that is unpredictable, at best).

Don't look for it in the park,
it's not there.. alas.

Last wednesday my godfather took me to praga kahn (that's the guys from 'lords of acid'). They're doing a small theatre-tour in Belgium to experiment with some new stuff. Operasingers, a beatboxer, a flamenco guitar player, ballet dansers, a magician, ... lot's of fun stuff they mixed with their music.

You can tell i had a great time.

An even better time was when i went to visit my boyfriend in Oostende. That's a city right next to the sea. At night we went for a walk on the beach and we saw a falling star. *sigh* Such romance in the air... a glorious 2 days.
I wasn't home from my seaside trip in time to give scouts though .. that kinda cast a shadow of guilt over the happy memories. I don't like dissapointing my scouts.

Easterholiday. That means no school for 2 weeks. I completely wasted this day, which is foolish because i know -in advance- that i won't have enough time to visit all the people i want to visit or do all the things i want to do. I try to make lists of stuff to do so that i get all the annoying stuff out of the way first but other people keep steeling my time.

Strange things, relationships with people. The ones i don't see frequently complain about not seeing me more often, and the ones i see every day often can't stand me, if they even talk to me at all. Maybe that's because i choose my friends very carefully, or maybe i'm just not a pleasant guy once you get to know me.

I don't like people who drink alcohol every day.

Note if you're a thrillseeker: My life is not a funfilled adventure of mystery, danger and excitement so i'm gonna bore you with some small stuff.

We had an exam in school yesterday and i didn't fail .. shocker

I got 85% actually.

Sacha has to give a bunch of lessons in a high school -in order to get his degree- but today his students acted so childish that he wants to stop teaching and not get his (extra) degree anymore.

Tomorrow i'm going to a 'play in'. That's when a bunch of musicians from different brass bands rehurse together for a day and give a concert afterwards. That should be quite fun so i'm looking forward to that. I recorded myself on saxophone yesterday but i'm not gonna put that up here because it didn't sound as good as i had hoped. Better luck next time; i'll get it right some day.

Some people have complained about how litle i update my journal. Mainly because i'm not online on msn much anymore they have no clue about what's going on in my life.
An error i will attempt to correct below.

Yesterday Bart (teacher) was sick so i had a day off at school. Yay

Sasha (boyfriend) came over sooner then we had origionaly planned and we spent an -almost- entire day together. Seeing eachother only once a week is very insufficiant indeed, so the time spent in the privacy of my bedroom doens not go to waste

. We were planning on spending saturdaynight over at my uncles but it turns out their guest room had allready been booked for that night.

We watched 'delovely'at my uncles. The filmed biography of Cole Porter; an american (secretly gay) singer/songwriter of the 1920's. Kevin Cline gave a breathtaking -tearjerking- performance, but i especially liked the music. It was fun to see Alanis Morisette, Robbie Williams and Sheryl Crow do 1920's songs.

I have a concert with our brass band saturdaynight. Kinda looking forward to that.

Recently i've been very happy with what i've got going in my life. I'm moving forward, i have great people all around me, i'm loved, i have (a bit of) money again, ... In short it's bright sunshiny days for me.

My computer has broken down. Last saturday i had to lend my computer to the scouts for a music-karaoke-quiz thing and when i plugged everything back in sundaynight ....
I found out what the problem is and i'm gonna buy a new graphics card today when we have lunch break. I only recently replaced my CDwriter with a new DVDrw so this *curses* thing puts me right over my computer budget.

11.30: More to come about what's going on here..... after the break

13.06: Yay! Bought a new card. If all goes as planned, my computer will be up and running again tonight .. muhahahaha

I may be just a star trek geek, but a bunch of japanese scientists managed to make holograms (sorta). They used infrared lasers to make air molecules glow and thus creating glowing shapes in mid air. Pretty butterflies

Sacha got me two special rare cola cans and a book (the boy who followed ripley) for valentines which was so sweet and thoughtfull, and i didn't get him ANYTHING :-s (yet). I'm a terrible boyfriend.

I've been meaning to rant about Michelle Trachtenberg for ages now, but i never get around to it. If you dislike (or like) Michelle for any particular reason, please let me know.

The youth-aids|aldo thing i had in my previous journal has expired so it's time to finally update my journal.

Like so many of you, i too intend to make the most of 2006 an so far, i have been rather succesful in my attempts to do so. Firstly; I'm on my way of becoming a pc & network engineer. That means that i have class every day from 08.30 till 16.30. Combined with scouts, band & meeting with Sacha (boyfriend) that leaves me very litle time to create new things to put here on devart. Not to worry though, i still make things now and again. As soon as i have time to scan and do some clean up work you'll get to see new stuff.

I actually wrote a rather funny poem-thing about a girl and a goldfish.

Due to my busy-ness i kinda alienated myself from a few people that are very close to my heart. If you're one of those people -> Sorry. I've been meaning to mail you but i don't quite know what to say when i open outlook to do so.

Anyway, should get back to class now.

The unbelievably sweet Inlezorn has renewed my subscription for a whole YEAR! I stand in awe of her, and i thank her from the very bottom of my heart

Last weekend me and the rest of the scout leaders of my group had a weekend to plan everything we're gonna do next year. We went out to a party and i got very drunk and yesterday i was so sick i thought my final hour had come. It was utter HELL!!

Luckily i was able to stop vomiting just in time for the concert me and the rest of our brass band had to give last night. Amazingly, it turned out to be an excelent performance .. especialy by the lead Sax player (which is me

Afterwards i had a surprise visit of my godfather, who has his birthday today. I have to remember to send him a card later. Last night i was in bed by 21.15.

Later tonight i'm going to a birthday party. A leader from the scouts turns 19. Loads of people are gonna be there, so that should be fun. I'll have to tape Lost.

I've gotten a lot of nice comments on 'the bolder n the more beautiful'. Thanx people.

Tomorrownight, my uncle and his boyfriend are coming to dinner. It's been too long since i last saw them. We used to have these incredibly cosy movienights at their house and i want to do that again soon.

Sofie called me today and we're gonna meet this thursday to catch up. Can't wait

She is a gossip QUEEN! and so much fun to be around.

There's a devmeet this saturday in Ghent but i can't go cause i have a scouts thing and -more importantly- a funeral to go to. When i was litle and my parents both had to go to work they paid a woman to come by and take care of us every day. Her husband died.

Mr. Sulu is gay.

I still haven't found a job and my sister lectured me about that a couple of days ago. She thinks i don't move forward in life. That enervates her. I've decided to double my efforts, and get my drivers license.

It's hard to keep you guys updated and not make these journal entries half a mile long.

Here's a movie i'd love to go see: CRASH. It's a drama about some random people in Los Angeles whose lives 'collide'. That may remind you of 'changing lanes' but i'm hoping this flick'll be loads better then that dreadfull fiasco. I'd like to see 'crach' because it's been a long time (since murder by numbers) that i've seen Sandra Bullock in a 'serious' movie. Also because i've never seen Brendan Fraser in something that wasn't completely action/one-liner centered. I hope he'll be able to not ruin this movie for me. Mild concern there. The rest of the cast seems remarkably outstanding. I have a slight thing for Ryan Phillipe, so yay for seeing him again

Mark isham wrote the music for this movie, btw. You may remember him from such movies as 'life as a house' and 'the majestic'.

Last tuesday i started work. It's been physicaly extremely exhausting and i haven't spent hardly any (read: none) time on the net. Picking fruit isn't the most entertaining thing in the world, and it doesn't pay that good but hey, it's a start.

It was really hard for me to do something new after 'don't look at me like that'. I felt i could never do anything that good again. Therefore, i'm pleased that 'about a boy' found its way out of my head. I hope it'll give me a bit of closure with Anthony aswell.

Things here at home have been rather unpleasant because my brothers (i have 2) are -errm- cross with me. That means that they don't talk to me (except for the occasional name calling) , ignore me and try to make my life at home as close to hell as possible, and they do a pretty good imitation; i assure you. Meh, i'm not gonna show them that it actualy gets to me and "hold my head up high", as they say. It'll pass.

I've been thinking about a lot of people. Some i knew long ago, some i only met once or twice. Some people i miss so much that even thinking about them gives me a feeling of great loss, like i've waisted something that's never gonna come back again. That scares me. :computer, pause recording:

Hey people,

Well, i'm back. Scouts camp was a LOT of fun but i'll tell you all about that later.
When i was away lightning struck our house. Our router got fried and so did every computers network card in our litle home network here. I now have to use the living room computer downstairs which is SO annoying and uncomfortable.

The problem should be fixed in a couple of days. Maybe now i'll draw some more.
We'll see.

Hey deviants,

Today is 'Schellekeskermis'

That's a fair that's been held here in our village since forever. 'Schellek' is the name of the oldest part of our town. Fishermen used to live there, in shabby houses and narrow alley-like streets. The houses have changed quite a bit since that day, but the cosy narrowness has remained unchanged. I did some investigating, and i read that a committee for overlooking the organisation of the fair was first fromed way back in 1776! Aside from demonstrations of old crafts and a jumble sale in the streets there's also some bands performing, fireworks and a parade of giants. That's right; giants. It's a Belgian thing i guess. More info in dutch.

The two youngest branches of our scouts group are on camp and we went there to visit them last night. Was fun; chatting by the fire. Can't wait for our camp, which is in four days. (10-20th of august). Ten glorious days of outdoorsyness and fun. yay

There's been a lot going on about the involuntary resignation of °jark On this website you can read the truth about what happend. I'm not gonna say more about this, other than that i support the august 7th thing that has been set up.

Interesting to see how a community reacts to this news. Immediatly you have protest threads on the forum. There's a day (august the 7th) for protest. He has a color (yellow) several slogans (i thought 'join the jark side' was pretty good) .. there's buttons and symbols .. even a brand new =JarkLove community. Jark has become a brand. It reminds me a lot of the way 9-11 was branded.

First of all; it was fun. It could have been more fun if it had been planned a bit better, but still. We (a group of 9) were supposed to meet at Central Station in Antwerp at 14.00 but it's a fairly big station and there were loads of people wondering around so it was kinda hard to spot deviants among them. I targetted the largest group of people around and asked them if they were from deviantart. I got some surprised looks and they said; 'no, but those two over there asked us the same question only minutes ago'. (I think they thought we were from a satanic cult or something). That's how i found ~kulderzipken and ~speedysparrow. We then started looking for the rest, cause a good 15 people had signed up their name. After i came up with the idea, (i know, i'm brilliant) we had the head of station make an announcement for the people of deviantart to gather in the ticketing hall. That's where ~evergr3yjoined us. Later =Deemer, ~Siene, and ~Khrishna (which were a group) and ~Elebridith16. Not counting nine yet? be patient

We had a drink in an outdoor café and introduced ourselves which made me feel embarrased cause i knew so litle about other peoples work. It was interesting to see how deviantart meant different things in peoples lives though. But anyway; My first impression 'hey, this is a fun bunch of people' was confirmed.
After some debate, we decided to go the the fashion museum. At the entrance there, we were joined by ~Libellia and another boy, who missed us at the train station. We took a group foto at the steps of the museam.

But anyways: The fashion museums currenct exposition was about how the african and european cultures influence each other .. you can read all about it on their web site if you want to. Fashion isn't really something i would normally go to a museum for, but it did have its interesting moments. The tour was kinda short though; half an hour and we'd seen everything ..twice. I bet ~yaspos would have loved it. Expecially the extravagant and flashy stuff.

I've put off writing one of these for way too long again. Bad habbit :shakesfist: My list of things is a page long, so bear with me.

Yesterdaynight, i went out. St niklaas with Sofie is SO much fun. I was in the toilets of a bar when this cute boy started talking to me. I'd met him before earlier that night cause i told him to go out of the way when sofie and me were locking our bycicles to one of those bycicle things. He had half long curly light brown hair, and a very cute smile ... just the kind of boy i could madly fall for but when he asked me if i was there with my girlfriend i said 'yes' Dutch is confusing

'Oh', he said dissapointed and turned away so immediatly i realised the mistake i had made, but i was too afraid to say anything else. Love really is for the lucky and the strong.

If things go as planned, i should be living with Sofie in Gent by next september. Lots of planning to do till then though. Exciting times

We were laughing and joking about how our house would be a constant mess -hehe- I'm only gonna move if i find a steady job though cause no money = no rent.

As i said, i went to st niklaas, which is 15 kilometers from where i live. On my way home (04.30) it was pitch black outside and i had do go through this nature area where there's no house or light or anything for miles and i was positively TERRIFIED ! Never pedled so hard in my life.

If you have read my previous entry you know i met this boy on the net. Well .. he's not been giving me a lot of attention (not on his own anyway) so i was kinda fed up with him but just before he left on holiday he sent me the sweetest text message (sms) so there's still hope. We're living on hope ..alone

I mad a new deviation which i'm feeling fairly good about. On my summary i wrote 'will be posting soon' .. but it's finished! so go ahead an see it here on this page.

I'm going to the Belgian Devmeet at the end of the month!! Very excited about that. =Deemer is going to be there .. i hope i'll get a chance to talk to him cause i like his work but on devart he allready gets SO much attention and i hate being the 78531th to give a comment. Me = attentionwhore, i know.

There's this guy i know; he used to be my leader in the scouts. I'm helping him with renovating his house and i was telling the woman who cleans at my grandmothers about that. She asked me what i was getting paid and i said 'nothing, i just do it to help him'. She gave me a pittyfull look and said 'you won't be doing that for long' as if goodwill and plain kindness was something to be frowned upon. I never want to be like that.
Anyways .. i'm going to Gent with Sofie tomorrow to look for jobs .. and places to live

Flemish holiday yesterday. Our scout group sold drinks at the festivities on the village square. Late in the evening (1-ish) a drunk woman fell on her head and had to be taken to hospital. That kinda killed the mood. Shame.

A lot of my friends are not doing ok. Heartbreak, unhappyness and frustration reign. I'm often at a loss about what i can do to help. It seems i'm doing more bad then good sometimes.

I met a boy .. on the internet again. He's cute and funny and he sais he's fallen in love with me. I don't want to rush into anything this time, so i'm takin it slow. Love seems to kinda 'come and go' with him, so i'm afraid of what the future might bring. More on this later.

I'm going out with my uncles boyfriend tonight. Movie and dinner. Should be fun. I look forward to talking to him about all the above. Also about where i go from here. If you've read my previous entry you know what i'm talking about. The road ahead ...

Busy times lately btw. I flunked school .. again. For the last time. No more school for me; i've reached the end of my will to be educated. I did find a summer job though so that means not living in poverty just yet. I don't know what i'm gonna do after summer but i'd love to go work abroad. But i'll see what opportunities present themselves really, everyting possible. I kinda like it that way.

I've been hanging out with Sofie a lot. Hanging out in st niklaas. She knows that city fairly well (i don't) and she's been showing me all the cool places. She so fun to be with. If there's a way of making me feel better, sofie's allready thought of it. Oh, and she bought me a ring!!! Such a beautiful way to celebrate our friendship. Only two people have ever bought a ring for me and i'll wear their rings -with pride- till the day i die. If you read this klettie; you're the best!!

Tomorrow = bbq again

... ah summer; where have you been all this time? Oh, and Sin City is a cool film. Really cool. .. although most of the times i was laughing my ass off, everyone else was gasping in horror. People are strange.

Update time: We had a superfun family barbeque last night. Superfun not because the food was great -which it was- or the weather was perfect -which it was also- but because of the people who were there.
See, i like some chit chat as much as the next person you'll come across here but the twelve of us laughed and chatted all night long and it was great. Plus there was ice cream at the end .. need i say more ? Didn't think so either

Tonight i watched a movie. I'll let you guess which one it was: It had a double decker bus chase just like Harry Potter III. It had epic batles like in Lord of the rings. It had an adventure feel to it that only Indiana Jones could top. It had a love storie which didn't slow things down. It didn't take itself too serious. It had a reasonably good soundtrack .. It was -to sum things up- the perfect saturday-night-switch-off-your-brain-don't-worry-and-enjoy-the-special-effects kinda thing. It's name ? Ah .. it was'the mummy returns'. Surprised? I was too, in a good way.

Errm, in other news. I've been submitting more then usual lately. A lot of different things really. Some photomanipulation, some drawings, vector things .. well, a lot. I am a bit dissapointed in the amount of feedback i've gotten on them though. hmm. Proves again that I don't take my own advice. See, i've had people say this to me before about their devart work and i -rather arrogantly- lectured them on how you make art for yourself, and not others .. hehe. In the end it al comes down to wanting attention doesn't it.

But, i'm not gonna end this on a sad note. No sir. Because i'm gonna go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory soon! My uncles boyfriend has invited me to go see it with him. Ever loved a movie before you saw it? I now do because how can something Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, and Danny Elfman make together be anything but Supercalifra gilisticexpialidocious ?

For the past few days now, i've been walking around with the urge to write a journal entry but every time i turned on my computer that urge seemed to vanish without a trace. It's lunch break now, here in school and i am sitting at a computer in the library. Last night in my bed i made a litle list of all the things i wanted to talk to you about. As a result of my procrastinating, the list has gotten quite long. You've been warned.

First i want to do a big shout out to all the people who've googled me and have discovered this litle page i have here.

I guess the time of anonymity is over. That means i will NOT be posting half naked pictures of myself anytme soon .. not on here, anyway :grin: People knów, and i have kind of mixed feelings about that. I hope i wont be too scared to be honest and spontaneous on here in the future. On the other hand it's quite convenient that i don't have to brief people on what's been happening in my life .. they just read these journal entries and then talk to me about it (like Elke does). That saves a lot of typing on msn. I re-invented the blog! (yay) .. my next idea? ..hot water!

A while ago i stayed off msn for 3 weeks. Out of the hundred people i have on msn, only 6 of them sent me an email to ask if everything was ok. This excluding the people i see in real life, of course. That -to me- proved that internet relationships are fine for fun and games, but real life friends are wáy more valuable. Yes there are exceptions to this rule of mine (that means you, jordan).

Maybe it's because ever since i'm single again i have this need to be physical with people. A hug, a kiss on the cheek, a pat on the back .. that sort of thing. An aftershock of the intimacy i had with ian, which i never had before and which i miss so terribly much. I used to never touch anyone and that seems like such a cold excistence now .. so alone.

Jonas gave me a coca cola can for my collection and i thought that was SO sweet! I love it when my friends give me cans for no reason like that. They do think about me sometimes!

Last saturday my sister and i cooked for a youth organisation for handicapped kids (pieternel), which was tremendous fun. Sofie -who is a leader there- asked us. Of course, as cooks we didn't spend nearly as much time with the kids as the leaders did, but let me tell you; Those leaders like sofie, who vulenteer to be there for those kids every saturday are too good for this world. They deserve a medal. I mean, ..i'm a scout leader myself, so taking care of a bunch of kids every sunday -> fine. At that Pieternel thing me and my sister were doing dishes, after lunch .. and we were talking and i was drinking cola. I finished my glass of cola and my sister looks at me with a strange expression and then she started laughing her ass off. I didn't have the faintest idea why. She managed to point (cause talking was clearly impossible at that point) at the counter behind me where -to my astonishment- there was a glass of cola .. MY glass of cola. The cola i had drunk was leftovers from the kids' table poored together. Thanx sis.

Nothing went right today. I woke up too late so i skipped breakfast and hurried to school, but i missed the ferryboat and then i heard that they were on strike today so i had to wait for an hour.
'Meh, shit happens', i thought; 'i'll still get there in time', and i did. Today was a very important day at school cause we had to do a presentation of a project we've been working on in small groups, since new years. Thank god that went ok.
On my way home the chain of my bycicle came off the chainweel. Hey, no problem. It hadn't happend before but i can fix a chain easily. Only .. after a few meters it came off again .. and then again.
I just (half a minute or so) missed the ferry home so i had to wait another hour. yay. At that point i was trying very hard not to get cranky. Anyways i walk all the way home .. about 3 kilometers so that's doable.
We had fish for dinner .. shiver ... that was good news.
Went to the scouts tonight. We planning on doing a 70 kilometer walk for good cause in a few months so we were training today. Only did about 10 or so but still. We had done 3 when i banged my knee against one of those concrete poles they -apparently- put on sidewalks. I didn't care and just kept walking but now it's twice as big as my other knee and turning slightly blue. joy.
I came home at half past eleven or so. Took off my shoes only to discover that my toes on my right foor were bleeding. Dunno why i hadn't felt that. .. maybe my left knee hurt more than my right toes did. Watched some tv only to see Mary Steenburgen feed ice cream with her finger to MY johnny Depp. That's right .. mine (so back off).
Came up here and plugged in my phone only to find out the display is broken .. the right part of the screen is all screwed up and distorted.
I know, people live through worse every day .. i really shouldn't be complaining about a few things going wrong. You're absolutly right. I would just like to thand the word for making this such a glorious perfect cheerful day for me.

Since it's been a while since i made anything new i thought it'd be a good idea to write a litle journal entry to let you people know that i'm still here; alive and well.

After watching 'elephant' a good month or so ago i began a vector portrait of John Robinson. It's not near finished, but it's in the direction i wanted it to be so yay for having time now.

My sister got back from spain 3 weeks ago and that means i can borrow her digicam (canon powershot a75) from time to time. I took a few pictures of myself which turned out rather nice -even if i do say so myself- and which i'll definately be uploading here when that's possible agian.

Oh, funny thing happend on one of my visits to my grandmother this week. She lives next to us and i stop by every day to put coal on her stove and bring mail and have a chat. Anyways; i walk in and that song 'jeepers creepers' was playing! lol That put the whole thing into a creepy surreal perspective.

You'll be also happy to know that i'm still head over heels in love with the ever adorable ian smith !!! He really is the love of my life. We've been together now for almost 8 months. If you read this sweety; thanx for being in my life *mwah*

I'm planning on flying to scotland again for two weeks at the end of march, cause i have easter holiday then.
So you see dear reader; things are going quite well in my life. Not that everything is perfect though. I had reasonably bad grades at school and some money worries; oh, and a fight with my brother the other night but meh .. my baby makes me HAPPY.

Oh, another thing. I would like to thank everyone who commented on 'watch the news'. I got such nice reactions and that really warmed my heart. Thanx people.

Yet another unthinkable amount of things has happend since i last gave you a peek at what's going on in my life. I'll name a few below:

In this house -being the one our family lives in- my parents make up the rules. One of those rules is that no boyfriend or girlfriend is allowed to sleep over EVER when my parents are home. I'm not gonna waste doing a poll on how stupid this rule is cause i think we can all agree it's complete madness.
But anyway. As you might -or might not- know, my lovely boyfriend ian is coming to stay over tomorow (yay!) That's right, a glorious 3 weeks with my sweety by my side (big yay!). My brother however, decided not to let me enjoy having my boyfriend here cause he felt it was wrong that his girlfriend was never allowed to stay here and ian is. Since my parents didn't know i'm gay (but my brother did), you can begin to understand the situation i was in.
After a lot of soul searching and lots of support from the ever adorable love of my live (thanx babe!) i decided to tell my parents .. about me, and about us.
And that's what i did. I must say it's a real weight off my shoulders. Finaly no more hiding anymore. Feels so good. My parents were cool about it too. Not too big of a surprise considering i've got two gay uncles whom my parents get along with splendidly. Oh, and they didn't even change their rule ! They just added a part that says 'unless your boy/girlfriend can't drive home to go sleep in her/his own house' lol

Before i forget i would like to thank everyone of my friends here on deviantart. You've all been great to me even though my litle page hasn't been the busiest lately. I love you all (but my sweety the most, of course :grin

Incase i wait so long with my next post it'll become inapropriate: HAPPYy HOLIDAYS to all of you !

I just wanted to share this warm fuzy feeling i'm having today.
Anyway, tonight i'm going to see The day after tomorrow. Aside from some beautiful special effects i hope to see an outstanding Jake Gyllenhaal . I know this movie will be nothing compared to the absolutely brilliant Donnie Darko, but i'll give TDAT a chance anyway.

It seems I've been able to help someone i recently met. I'm very proud of this person for having the courage and the determination to stand up for himself. To be a part of that made me feel quite good about myself too.

Last summer the town i live in dug a rather large pond behind our house. A nice big recreational space for everyone to enjoy. Nothing wrong with that, i hear you thinking. ... wrong !

Now -it seems- the pond has become infested with frogs, and the noise they make at night is absolutly unbearable ! I have absolutely no idea when the mating season of these creatures will be over but i sure hope it'll be realy REALY soon.
