Its awesome to see ones own work in print. Fellow deviantartist [link] did the colors.

That being said, I wish I had done the artwork in my normal style. I tried to simplify it so it wasn't so different then Scott Wegener's. I don't know of anyone who has pulled one so I don't know if they're desireable or not. Will have to wait and see. I HAVE introduced myself to the sketch card community on [link] and have been keeping busy doing commissions.

I've been drawing. What a great crowd? Friendly, cool people the entire weekend. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and said hi and bought prints and original stuff. I actually ran out of a bunch of pictures. I'll try to be more prepared next year. And there will definately be a next year!
It would be awesome if everyone who got at an original con-sketch from me could scan it in and send me a copy. I know its asking alot but I thought most of them turned out pretty cool. I snapped some digital pics of some but I didn't always have my camera. I'll share the ones I have for sure. Keep an eye on my scraps gallery.
Big thanks to all the ninja turtle fans that stopped by the table. For once, Donatello got the most love! How sweet is that! Lots of TMNT sketches, I had so much fun.
I will definately be deleting a bunch of things that people have fav'd and Im really sorry. Its just a matter of showing off too much stuff that doesn't really show my current style and that's just old and outdated.

The house-cleaning will probably start this weekend. 'Twill be sad for sure. Maybe they'll appear elswhere on the web, but right now they'll be gone.

How cool is that? I'll tell ya. Very cool. I entered a contest on comicbloc.com in October just for the fun of it. The subject of the contest was the Teen Titans. Im not a fan but I've always wanted to do a pic of them and so I drew one and entered the contest.

No big prize or anything. You just win the right to name the next character(s) that everyone has to draw if they want to enter the contest.

It was a nail-biter of a win. In fact, the original contest ended in a tie. So it was between myself and the winner from the month before. In the end I won 24 votes to his 17.

Feels pretty cool, anyways. Definately loads of fun. Check out the Thread the keep up for the rest of the month: [link]

I hope things go better in there than they did in Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh comicon has always been a great show for me but this past year I got stuck in the worst spot ever and no one stopped to check me out.

I don't want to say no one because I did have some very cool people stop and give me love, just not as many people as last year or the years before.

Im adding Philly to my conventions schedule this year so wish me luck. Im hoping to meet some cool people over there. If anyone want to come and say hi, I'll be in artist alley.

Im actually taking time off of work to get this project done. Three months to be exact. Problem is, I need some help. Im looking for an inker and a colorist for this new project and Im calling on all my pals here on deviantArt.

There is so much talent around on this site its not even funny. Im looking for people with the time and the talent and who are reliable. Im seriously on the prowl for some talented people to collaborate with. If you want to give it a try, contact me. Reliabiliy and quality are very important.

If you don't have the time but know someone who might be interested, please let me know. I would like to get started by the beginning of September. I should have a few pages ready to go by then.
Any takers?

If anyone cares...

Here's how things went when I went to San Diego in search of comic book dreams. I wanted to shop my portfolio around to see if anyone would give me a job drawing comics.

I wasn't crazy about their portfolio review area or even the way it was set up. It was very disorganized. The people were friendly but I don't think they had a clue. I got to meet with only a few editors. No one had a project that fit my style. Or say they say. I don't know if they were just being nice or whatever. They all seem to genuinely enjoy my work. They gave me a few suggestions and I haven't heard from them since.

I did talk to Disney Publishing and they seemed very interested in a story idea that my writer/friend pitched to them. Still no word from them though.

Overall the trip out to San Diego was AMAZING! If you like comics, you'll love Comic-Con international. Everyone was there! In your lifetime I would suggest a trip out there at least once. I actually got a picture of Jim Lee. He was talking to someone else but he was about two feet away from me. That was pretty cool. Got to meet Ed McGuiness. He was alright--very distracted, but nice enough.

As it stands, I plan on jumping back into doing my own project with Alexander Shearer and see where that takes me. I am looking for inkers and colorist who are local, so if you live in Central Pennsylvania and can ink or color, drop me a line.

Thanks for all the prayers and the well wishing. I didn't accomplish what I wanted, but I learned so much and I have a newfound appreciation for the working professionals in the comic book industry.

Keep an eye out right here for new stuff. I'll be drawing alot more in the next few months. Stay tuned.

Im planning on going to San Diego this year. This will be my first time to the 'Big Show' so I couldn't be more excited! I plan on bringing some samples of my work for review by...whoever's giving portfolio reviews. One little problem. No place to stay. If you're attending Comic-Con International this year and need a roomate, please contact me! If you know someone who is going and needs someone to share the cost of a room, contact me. Soon. Like now.

Also, Ive started going to local comic conventions again. I bring artwork, set up a table and showcase my artwork and try to sell some stuff. Went to the Lehigh Valley comic convention in mid-April and it turned out pretty awesome. Met some cool people there.

Went to the Pittsburgh Comicon just last week and had a blast. And Im doing another one in Allentown on May 7th if anyone is interested in stopping by. Check out [link] for details. If your in the Allentown area come on out. It sounds like its going to be pretty cool. Anyhoo...don't forget about San Diego! Someone's got to neen a roomate for a couple days.

I haven't been posting lately and there are many reasons why. None of them include the lack of drawing. I been working my butt off on various projects and they are kind of on the hush-hush side. But now you can check out some of the teaser stuff on my new website! Alot of it can't be posted yet because they're still in the works, but there are a few projects that Im pretty proud to show. Check out [link] to see what I've been up to. My writer/collaborator is posting it. Its a pretty simple looking site but it does the job of getting our work out there for anyone who may enjoy our works. 'Atopia' is the current venture and Im really excited about that one. I'll still be posting any mainstream-type art here at deviantART so keep your eyes open. So what are you waiting for? Check out the website!

I just got back from a trip to the beach this Monday and I think it was possibly the most relaxing time I've had on vacation. There was no cable TV, no radio, and only a VCR with one tape about polynesian dancing(which was surprisingly entertaining for about 20 minutes. I enjoyed spending time with my wife and my daughter and also managed to sneak in a few drawings.

Check out the deviations I added just today(7/14/04) to see what I did while I was down in Ocean Grove, NJ. Keep in mind that I had no refence materials with me so some of the costumes are a bit off. I also did these in black ball point pen, so I was especially happy with the way they came out.
