This yearly event is what the Japanese call Undokai. Every school has an Undokai, to include preschool, elementary school, Junior High and even High School. Amidst all the chaos are parents enthusiastically watching their children perform in bizarre events, which the children seem to immensely enjoy. Day 5; Max the Geek

He is chilling on my desk, in the computer room, while I screw around and check email. He is the most chilled dog that I have ever had the honor of owning.

Did you realize that deviantART lacks a privacy policy?  No magically morbid legalese; no simplistic layman terminology; nothing.  Simply put, there is no written document that covers how deviantART, Inc. handles the personal information it collects from deviants.

It is something that I attempted to work on during my tenure on staff.  Repeatedly I was told that "the lawyers are working on it."  This is generally a code-word for, "this is not high on our priority list so I will placate."  Each and every time I attempted to work the privacy policy issue I was railroaded by management.  Why?

There is something that I should mention, based on many of the comments I received.  Junko had her appendix removed when she was in high school. Unless by some X-Files alien-like mystery, which is not out of the question considering she is married to a Yellow Alien, it is not appendicitis. With so many art lovers out there they endeavor to get valuable dialogue going between artists, curators, collectors, and enthusiasts on a broad range of subjects related to American art.  The idea is to spark the same types of conversations you would see in an art museum.

Sounds like a very unique and intriguing idea.  There are not a lot of art blogs out there so this is a welcome addition to the Intarweb.

Understand that the people giving feedback represent many who remain silent.

Sure, some of you might have done so but the vast majority of deviants merely accept the agreement without thinking twice.  All the click-through licenses we have to deal with, thanks to the Internet, have numbed us in to not paying attention to what we risk getting ourselves in to.

The administration has not been forthcoming at all; they merely relocated the deviation and left it at that, foregoing any explanation.  I have yet to receive a note from a single administrator, explaining why they believe the image in question to be a scrap as opposed to a deviation.

There are really no decent low-cost, high-quality furniture stores here in Japan. While there are some that fit a similar description their selections are either very small, ugly or of low quality.

The feeling around deviantART these days is rather ominous.  Certain actions by average deviants have taken place and been met with an odd array of administrative action while similar action by the staff is summarily ignored.

Take, for example, my friend deviot.  He wrote a journal entry, which still stands though faintly modified, and was banned because of it.

The current, and most recent, design is in its final stages of development.  I am working out various semantic issues and small bugs that should be fixed very soon.  Once complete I am going to release this baby in to the wild.

I have dubbed this theme triSexual due to the abnormal three column nature of the design.  Most three column designs are thin-wide-thin whereas this is wide-thin-thin.  This m ]]>
