Who would have thought

I do know the occasional deviation has been appearing from me but nothing solid and concrete for a while now (it sucks)

I have however started a new part on my website...a 365....just a diary which I'll update either daily or as often as possible to show I'm alive and still snapping away!

Ok, ME update...I've been...busy, to say the least.

I've been made redundant from work, and....I'm loving it. I got an awesome payout so right now I'm chilling to the max, and just doing freelance computer work to pay the bills etc so I don't touch the payout.

Yes, finally oh finally the opportunity as arisen to go traveling and see this amazing planet we all live on

This has got me so excited you have no idea!

I'm looking to build my photo portfolio on photos I take whilst on my travels, I will be taking equipment with me so I can snap and process whilst on the move so hopefully update it from time to time so hopefully it'll open up a few peoples eyes to what this planet really has to offer

So, some suggestions on where to go on my list I've got...

Alaska
Canada, British Columbia
Few known places in America like New York, Grand Canyon etc

They are the top places I want to go....where else do people think I should go? Providing I survive all that and haven't run out of cash or been mugged and lost all my stuff or something hehe.

Anyway, In DA news I'm still getting the occasional favourite and comment on my work so thank you all for that and the page view gradually climbs each day a couple more at a time!

I know people must think 'god he doesn't do anything these days' but nope I still check it so your thoughts are so appreciated you have no idea!

Me and a friend have decided to do a photo competition thingy each week so I'll have at least 1 DA worthy pic each week now, so I WILL be uploading stuff (I know I've said it before but I really will!)

My last post was very depressing!

But, things are finally on the up!

I moved out this weekend, my new place needs a little work but it'll soon be what I can call home!

And just in general things have been going my way for once...the weather has been great, friends are being good, just all great.

Hello all,


4 months since my last Journal entry...shame on me! *slaps wrist*

So I feel an explanation is in order...

My parents have basically divorced, they became absolute on January 17th - they had been married 22 years - so that kinda hit me real bad.

Been having a few problems with my brother, i mean we don't get on anyway, but still...it hasn't helped.

Works had me running like a headless chicken...yeah I enjoy my job but its unnecessary stress.

I'm moving in a couple of weeks.

Theft has been going on at my house, so basically anything of any value to me (including all my camera gear) has had to be stored off site.

So that's a measly excuse as to why I haven't been submitting anything - but I have a few plans...

In May I'll be buying 2 new pieces of equipment - a Canon 40D and a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS Lens...

Oh yes, my wallet will cry. But it'll be so worth it and I've got a lot of motorsport events booked up, so hopefully should get some good shots from that

Life is hectic at the minute!!!

Every time I sort out a problem in my life so I can get back into the photography game, something else comes up! so therefore it stops me.

It's very annoying, because the few pictures I have taken have been good in my opinion but I haven't been able to process them properly, which is more annoying than anything.

I've been here a year now, and still get visits on a daily basis from some regulars and new comers which is always nice to see my work is getting appreciation and I'm still getting comments which again, is a nice thought and very very appreciated! so don't stop! keeps me going and keeps me picking up the camera!!!

So what can I say? I'll try and upload 1 or 2 pics now (I think I've got some material ready) if I do I'll do it as I have some spare time.

But yeah, got a shoot lined up in a couple of weeks, which will take top priority over everything so you'll definately see them

Now I know my last journal entry promised lots of pictures but basically life has been shit recently so therefore they haven't been processed and I've been to busy to do them.

In the next few weeks Im going to be sorting out my filing system on my machine and upload lots of old uunprocessed DA worthy pictures, so they'll gradually leak out, might take a month! but it WILL happen.

Hello everyone,

Some of you may have noticed that my main website was down for about a week.

Well this was due to the fact it was getting very untidy on the server plus the website needed a revamp.

I've updated it with some snazzy features including a much better organised gallery selection which will be a continuous process to update, so that'll build over time.

That's it from me at the moment, expect a lot of imiages this week (now the website is done) due to the fact my Dad has my camera and I've got 400 or so to chug through!

Wooo, it's taken me nearly a year, which, admittedly, could have had more pictures taken and more knowledge learnt, but still, it's been a good year.

I've learnt a lot, taken a lot of pictures, produced some ones I'm proud of, seen a lot of photos....

Hopefully this year will be twice as good! I'm looking to learn more, be more active in photography, explore more areas of it.

I hope you are liking the recent deviations.

I certainly had fun taking them!

I've started to experiment alot more recently, hence my 2 latest deviations, and I'm really gaining from it from a newbie side of things....

Should be getting a new lens soon, because I fancy me some L Glass...then prepare to be amazed as I put my crap photography skills to the test!

I haven't done any other DA ID's because due to stress at work and working overtime alot I haven't had a chance to get a haircut, so it's now pretty wild and I look a state to be honest (But Hey, whats new)

So I'm tempted to do a before/after the haircut.....

But meh,

enough random ramblings from me....

Hi folks,

apologies for my lack of submissions to DA I just haven't had time to do any proper attempts at a picture.

But tonight I intend to try some sunset ones nearby.

I mean i've been taking pictures, not nothing DA worthy.

Hey all,

So lets start off with a big thank you to everyone as I have almost reached 230 Page views, my next target is 500 then 1000! - But its going to take alot of pictures, good ones at that. So guess I got alot of work todo! - Moving on, more thank you all for the many favourites/comments/messages/notes/comments that I've recieved, yes I managed to say all that in one breath!

So I have been pretty good, been very busy, hence the lack of deviations submitted, and plus alot of the stuff I have been snapping has been shit tbh.

Its now currently midnight and I'm up watching Family guy talking to a few people on MSN.

On an off topic Dad got me a lens, randomely was in a shop, saw it, bought it. Its pretty good, going to have a muck about with it and see what I can come up with.

I'll post anything good on here so don't worry.

I'll start from the beginning (it is a journal n all)

Monday

I got some terrible news at work, basically they are getting rid of me. And i'm gutted because I love the job.


Monday Night

I get home from a shit day at work, to find out my mums dad's condition has worsed (he's nearly dead)

Tuesday

I find out at work they can't give me a leaving date so i cant start looking for another job. Another crap day

Tuesday night.

My friend was in a car crash and i was in hospital all night whilst he was in ICU etc.

Wednesday.

Still no leavers date, it dawns on me i'm going to have to get rid of my car which is my most precious thing next to my camera - because of not being able to fund it. Another shit day at work

Wednesday night

My mate is out of ICU and just in a Ward, he's ok but can't talk

Thursday

My girlfriend splits up with me, another shit day at work

Thursday Night

My train is late home due to signal failures, i don't get home till 8 - i leave work at 5 o clock and normally home y 6 ffs.

Friday

Line manager has asked me to train the next guy thats replacing me - what an insult - queue another crap day at work.

So thats why my week has been so bad.

Friday 17:01 - My weekend starts. Me dad and friends are down the pub, we drown our sorrows, and have a massive heap of chinese. Get in at 2am

Saturday - Get up at 05:30 and meet up with 20 others and go to southampton in the cars to give them a good thrashing. was a cracking day out, drove the cars like we stole them. and released alot of stress. Go out again that night and repeat friday night.

Sunday - wake up at 16:00, shit i've messed up my body clock, oh well, had a nice relaxing evening.


NOW - bollocks my body clock is now screwed, so i can't sleep all night literally. so its now 07:00 i'm leaving for work in an hour...this should be fun.
