The 2009 Sumatra earthquakes occurred just off the southern coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. The major shock hit on September 30, 2009 At least 1100 people were killed as a result, with thousands more trapped in collapsed buildings.

A second powerful earthquake has hit the Indonesian island of Sumatra 01 Ocktober 20099, a day after the first devastating quake left more than 500 dead, thousands of people buried in rubble and a major city cut off from the outside world.

There were 529 confirmed deaths from the first quake, said relief officials, although the figure was likely to rise.

In Padang, a city of 900,000, it was clear the authorities scarcely knew where to begin the recovery. There was no heavy lifting equipment to move the rubble under which hundreds more may be buried and soldiers were only just beginning to arrive in significant numbers.

People were sleeping on the street outside shattered homes or camping out at the airport. Even families whose homes stayed resolute in the face of the 7.6 magnitude quake were staying out of doors, fearful of aftershocks.

Many houses, though ramshackle, still stand. It is the large, public buildings, mostly those in the centre of town, that have been worst hit by the quake.

At least 500 buildings in the city collapsed in the quake. At least 80 people were missing at the city's five-storey Ambacang hotel, which also fell. Rescuers, working in heavy rain, found two survivors and nine bodies in the hotel's rubble.

The first emergency medical relief – a team of 40 doctors from Jakarta – was expected to reach the area today.

Rescue efforts have been hampered by the disruption of electricity and telecommunication lines, which have thrown Padang into darkness. Reports claimed all roads into the city were blocked by landslides.

The earthquake in Sumatra came 24 hours after a huge tsunami struck Samoa at dawn on Tuesday – triggered by an earthquake measuring between 8.0 and 8.3 – which also flattened villages and swept cars and people out to sea, killing at least 100 and leaving dozens missing. Survivors fled the churning water for higher ground on the South Pacific island.

Tadinya gw dah takut aja karena Garudayana ga ada di tumpukan komik baru, jangan2 dah keabisan. Tapi pas gw tanya ternyata masih ada stoknya, ga banyak cingcong langsung bayar deh

Gw mulai dari Satu Atap

Satu Atap bercerita tentang kehidupan sehari-hari Putri, seorang gadis yg ngekost di sebuah rumah bersama para penghuninya yg..."luar biasa"

Gimana ga luar biasa...ada Rangga si anak setan yg jail dan playboy, Maya si peri hutan yang bermulut tajam, Erik si cowok mermaid, Aria si gadis elf, Adit si manusia harimau yg pendiam, sampe si Theo mahluk yg ga jelas apa namanya

Ceritanya simpel dan ga bertele2. Segala keunikan kehidupan Putri di kosan itu diceritakan dengan cukup apik, alurnya pun pas, ga cepet ga lambat. Bahasa dialognya juga bahasa sehari2 anak kota jadi enak buat dibaca. Artworknya cukup unik, shadingnya seperti cat air. Cuma ada bbrp bagian dimana proporsi karakternya masih agak off.

Klo kamu suka komik dengan tema slice of life yg agak unik, Satu Atap layak koq untuk dibeli ^^


Selanjutnya Garudayana

Satu kata buat komik ini KEREN !

Jujur bgt baru kali ini gw baca komik lokal yg bener2 berkesan

Garudayana dibuka oleh Kinara, si cewe pemburu harta karun yg sedang mencari harta karun di lembah kuno Batara. Tanpa sengaja dia menemukan telur emas Garuda yg ternyata adalah...makanan simpanan si Ashura Kalagni, sang raksasa api. Ngamuklah si Ashura dan mengejar2 si Kinara yg bawa kabur makanannya (siapa juga yg ga ngamuk, dia dah nunggu 100 tahun buat makan ). Konon bila raksasa makan telur garuda, dia akan mendapatkan kehiupan abadi.

lalu gimana nasib si Kinara dan telur Garuda itu ? baca aja komiknya (gyahaha, rasain lu kentang)

Yang paling gw suka dari komik ini tuh character designnya. Mas Is bener2 jago dalam menciptakan karakter2 yg keren. Desain si Kinaranya pas banget dengan sifatnya, Gatotkaca yg GAR banget (walau gw rasa cuma cameo sih), dan Si Garuda yg duh...lucuuu . Dan favorit gw...Trio Punakawan (Petruk, Gareng dan Bagong) yg bener2 cool dan kocak (those Kencana bike is hilarious ). Juga masih ada chara2 perwayangan lain yg dibikin jadi bener2 keren di komik ini >,<

Dari segi artwork dah manteb bgt deh. Penceritaannya juga oke, panel2 n balon katanya enak banget dibacanya. Desain kostumnya juga unik dengan tanpa meninggalkan cita rasa perwayangannya.

Cerita yg epic, komedi yg bener2 kocak, actionnya juga seru, semuanya jadi satu di dalam komik ini. Sangat amat gw anjurkan untuk beli, dijamin ga bakal rugi

Devmeet kali ini benar2 manthaaaab, yg dateng banyak banget, cakep2 n ganteng2, gambarnya juga keren2

Gw jalan dari rumah sekitar jam 9.30, dan ketemu dulu sama di halte busway Karet (soalnya kita ber-2 lom pernah ke PS ). Setelah turun di halte Bunderan Senayan, kita pun menyusuri jalan kecil di samping Ratu Plaza buat nyampe ke.....Senayan City !!!! (omaigat, ternyata beda yah ama Plaza Senayan, wakakaka )Tapi ga papa deh, td kita dah sukses memberi tanda dulu di Senayan City (baca : make WCnya) sebelum ke tempat yg bener di Plaza Senayan

Nyampe ke Plaza Senayan jam 11 lebih dikit, cuma ada si yg ternyata dah dateng dari jam 9.30 ! (ngapain coba ? wakakaka). Disana kita duduk2 dulu di lobinya sambil nunggu yg laen. Ga berapa lama kemudian dateng lah si bersama serombongan deviant lain (sori ga bisa gw sebutin satu2 ). Sambil nunggu si Kaze dan teman2 nyiapin plang DAnya kita pun ngobrol2 sambil mule poto2 *halah*

Ga terasa akhirnya semakin banyak yg dateng sampe sekitar lebih dari 20 orang. Karena dah dirasa cukup banyak, kita pun hijrah ke foodcourt di lantai 3 (wakaka, konvoi sambil bawa2 plang DA, dengan gemilang berhasil menarik perhatian pengunjung yg laen )

Di foodcourt (yg tiba2 rame pas kita datengin), kita pun makan siang dulu (yaa~ karena takut diusir juga klo cuma numpang duduk ). Gw duduk semeja bareng si

Nyahaha kocak liat amunisi pensil si , banyak bgt bo'
Si juga dengan baek hati ngeluarin 'sample' makanannya buat kita lahap

Habis makan mulai deh diabsen satu2, para peserta yg semakin bertambah terus jumlahnya mulai sibuk sama acara masing2,ada yg ngobrol2, ada yg mulai gambar/art trade, atau cuma sekedar saling kenalan. Thanks for all the people who visit my profile (I should do this when I reached 20k, but damn I forgot )

Lately I'm back to doin sketch more with traditional way (pencil on paper)

At first it because I dont have time to draw on the computer, but after that I get the feeling that it was way more fun to do sketch manually (the feeling that I lost when I've a good control on the pen tablet and I start drawing directly on computer)

But the disandvantage is....
we can't use layer and undo function like when we sketch digitally

Get a little busy lately, so I'm really sorry for all the people who commish me for the delay

They say that manga scan coloring is considered as art thievery

At first I thought it's okay to submit manga scan coloring, because I've got a bunch of Hatsukoi Limited colorings on my gallery, and DA never delete them

But since I've come to know this, and I don't want to labeled as art thief, I will take further actions on my own
I've deleted all of my manga scan coloring from my gallery, and I will not submit manga scan coloring anymore in the future

I'm sorry for this and thank you for all who have faved my colorings

It's so hard to keep drawing using that, the pressure sensitivity is gradually disappeared too.

At first I thought I must replace a whole pen, but after asking around I came to realize that I just need to replace it's nib(thank god I ask). I know this after 2 years using pen tablet, hahaha

And after 2 attempt to come to the shop that sale this thing, finally I got the replacement (the first attempt is futile, because I came at Sunday, and the shop is closed ).

But all the effort is paid for, now my pen tablet is back to its normal state, just like a brand new pen
