April 15th alreadyÂTwo months have flown by and it has felt like forever in many respects. A few days after my last journal entry my mother was rushed into emergency surgery and nearly died. Today she came home.

She is still pretty weak having been bed ridden all this time but her physical therapy is going well and there ultimately is nothing like being home to help you recuperate even more. She is strong and I am sure she will be up and about in no time.

Ran into a friend from high school today that I havenÂt seen since graduation. We were in art class together. I always thought he was really talented and it was nice to hear that he is doing well with his art and is doing airbrush work on the South Side. He also happened to mention our reunion this yearÂtwenty yearsÂ*ouch* I donÂt feel that old.

Also saw the contest posted for Autumn CountryÂI am really going to try to squeeze in an entry this time (considering I have missed the last few and have been kicking myself in the pants for it each time around). There is a flea market some friends of mine are selling at this weekend and they asked if I wanted to sell some stuff there. Gotta run over some prints or whatnot tomorrow and take my chances. IÂm not expected anything to sell but thought it was really nice of them to offer since they want to help me sell. Who knows! Stranger things have happened!

On the 25th is the annual Art All Night show as well. I have an idea for a painting I want to do for it but am unsure I will have the time. I did find a job this past month. It is only part time but I am now juggling two part time jobs now and using savings to pay the rest of my bills. Still looking for a full time position. I have nothing but faith it will work out. No use being negative right?

Sorry for the strange entry Â I am really tiredÂnot a very good week so far. IÂm off to read a bit (Cabinets of Curiosities) and then IÂm off to dream world. It will be a busy day tomorrow (my only day off this week) as I have tons of errands to do and will be helping out my parents as well.

I really hope all of you are doing well! I really miss all of you and hope to keep in better touch soon.

ItÂs been awhile since IÂve logged on and today discovered my password was changed by someone else. Apparently I was hacked so I apologize to any and all who receive spam from my account as it was not me.

Hopefully the change in password helps and they didnÂt get too far in to my personal stuff.

As for meÂnot much is going on at the home front. Still unemployed. I have an interview tomorrow for a part time position I donÂt even want (I gave up on only applying for full-time figuring I will have to work multiple part time positions again to pay the mortgage until someone wants me full time). Not much else going on.

I still canÂt believe itÂs 2009 alreadyÂIÂm still waiting for 2008 to start

Hope everyoneÂs New Year started off well and I hope the resolutions will be hit for each and every one of you that set one

As for me, I am grateful the holidays are over and I can get back to humdrum boring days I have gotten used to!

My main goal this year is to find a new full time job that will pay the bills and finish up all the projects I started the past two years and complete them. Enough dawdling I sayÂ

I am currently working on the first page of my comic Â doing lots of research and about to pencil in the first frame

I uploaded the cover art for your viewing pleasure Â hope you all like it!

soooÂsome of you have noticed I havenÂt been around on dA much lately. CanÂt really explain why Â I guess I just really lost track of time and didnÂt realize it had been nearly 6 months. I canÂt even say that I have been doing anything earth shattering nor even working too much!

Guess IÂve been in hiding all this timeÂbut from what I canÂt say.

I do know that I havenÂt been inspired until very recently and maybe that is why I felt the itch to come back to dA. AnywayÂwhatever the case I have produced two new digitals and posted the painting I completed back in June / July for a contest entry I didnÂt win. CÂest la vieÂthere will always be more contests

Just gives me some incentive to improve I guess!

As for what IÂm working on nowÂI am currently attempting to draw a comic book. I wrote it a couple of years ago, realized I wouldnÂt be able to do the layouts and left it sitting in my computer until I had a conversation with a friend at my part-time job. Long story short, he has done the layouts and will do the lettering while I will attempt to draw the scenes! ItÂs primarily an action story (for this first part of it) so I will be testing my skills as an illustrator Â something IÂve never done before. Cheers to trying new things! (*runs and hides*)

My formal training began in high school when my art teacher, Mr. Garnhart, selected a few of his students to attend his figure drawing classes at the local college. I was one of the fortunate. After graduation, I attended Edinboro University where I obtained a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree in painting with a minor in Art History.

I have posted my email address for anyone interested in obtaining information on prices for commissioned work.

For portrait work, size and price vary depending on medium and the number of people you wish completed. Please email me with specifics and I will get in touch with you as soon as possible (generally within 3 days maximum time frame). Listed below are my standard prices for single portraits. (I have also listed the prices for additional 'heads.') All prices are in USD. Shipping is additional. I accept money orders, personal checks and also paypal so you may use your credit card if desired.

Please keep in mind these prices are for rendering accurate portraits of the subjects and are not for all painting or drawing commissions. If you wish to commission me on an original work of my creation or desire a celebrity portrait, the costs will be different (and are usually less) depending on the project. If you are on a tight budget and have an idea in mind, let me know what you have in mind, how much you have to spend and we can try to work something out to fit within that budget. I am pretty reasonable and will be honest with you if I feel I cannot complete what you have in mind for your price, time limit or project in general. It never hurts to ask...
