Anyone remember me?
haha probably not. It's been quite a while since I've been on this account. But I have good news! I'm back with a 30-day trial of photoshop and I will probably be getting my old version back as well after Christmas. ;D I have already started and finished one manip so far and I plan to do a lot more. Hopefully I can squeeze some time in my busy days haha that's a joke. Well just keep an eye out for some more of my work

Just in case any of you were wondering about my current ID, it was at my spring orchestra concert. I play the viola in my school orchestra/strings program. For that concert, a guy who sells really high class instruments let us use his instruments. The viola I got to play was worth $9,600. D: I didn't want to give it back hahaha. But we're also playing at this year's graduation. woo hoo. ha. Finally gettin some recognition in our community.

&& now that school is almost over, when I'm not working/volunteering/babysitting/swimming, I'll try to be getting some more photography up. Not quite happy with some of my recent work. Might work with some of my friends and get them to model downtown or something. It's beautiful downtown now, and I have quite amazing looking friends. haha.

So tomorrow [April 29th, 2008] is my spring orchestra/strings concert. I'm pretty confident with the music we're playing and I like most of the songs. But guess what?! It's also my brother's 10th birthday!! He's getting so big, which reminds me that I'm growing up too. Poopy.

Yeah so life has been very stressful lately so if I'm not here as often, please don't think I've gone missing. I just need time to chill and think, even if thinking causes the stress half the time. But yeah......

My favorite present, by far, is my parents let me get my tragus pierced, which I've wanted done for quite a while. C:

Next week is going to be crazy, but it should be interesting. Let's see;
[]Wednesday: the flipped/backwards schedule was actually pretty fun. c: We got our new spanish teacher because our last one just up & left. But he wouldn't speak any english! lol and we're only in spanish I. but he's a really good teacher though. Having strings 4th[last] block worked out pretty good. We had more fun and we were more awake. It was a really fun day. And my english gateway that I had to take was very easy, so no worries about that. There were a few hard questions, but hey, it's a test. : p
Overall rating: 9.8/10
[]Thursday: I drew our room for the evaluation [there are two rooms], but it went pretty good. The lady was really nice and the kids were O.K. And my new spanish teacher actually spoke in english! YAY! : p [he has a huge southern accent, but he's still really awesome.] After I got home from work, I got ready for about 45 minutes and then headed off to the middle school for the strings/band concert. We were up first and we played pretty good. Then the band and then the jazz band. And at the end, the strings and band played two songs together. Over all, we did pretty decent. But the only thing that upset me was that my boyfriend couldn't come, because he had a soccer game that started at the same time. blah. and now he wont answer his phone! X.X
Overall rating: 8.5/10
[]Friday: I was sick when I woke up this morning so I didn't go to school. But I didn't want to stay home. eh. But the christmas party was sooo much fun. We exchanged gifts at the school before we left, which was cool. I got a $25 giftcard to wal-mart from the ladies I work with and a $15 giftcard to target from my secret santa. The food at Ichiban was awesome! I got chicken and shrimp and it was yummy! c:

Hopefully, when I bring in my flash drive monday to my advisory teacher, she said she could copy photoshop onto there, which would be way awesome for me, seeing as how I don't have any photo operation system at the moment. c:

Animal Cruelty In My Own Backyard

First off let me say that, no I did not abuse my own animals. So please don't just read the title and freak out. :/

"We just found out today that the meter reader for our local gas company has been spraying our dog with MACE when he comes to read the gas meter. In his words he's "had to spray him several times". Even though it's after the fact, I'm thankful we happened to be home today to find out this information. Our dog is on a 20 foot tie-out in a fenced-in yard with signs posted on the fence alerting anyone who tries to enter that there are dogs in the yard. When we called the gas company (the 800 number - no way to talk to someone locally) they were in no way sympathetic and the only 'solution' they offered was for one of us to be here when they read the meter. The gas company has made no attempts in the past to contact either one of us to let us know that someone needed to be here or that they were using MACE on one of our animals.
But anyway, we now have to guess the day they are going to read the meter and try to be here so that they don't attack our dog. I say guess because our current bill says they would read the meter on the 20th yet they were here on the 19th. My husband and I both work but we'll have to find a way to work our schedules around some barbarian who was apparently following the gas company policy by macing our dog.

I have reported this to the Humane Educational Society and I've sent an opinion article in to the local news website because I see this as a bad business practice AND animal cruelty and the gas company should be stopped! "

This is an e-mail my mom sent me and she told me about it when I got home from school. This made me so mad that I was crying! (and people that know me know that I don't get that mad that often.) I wish I could get just 2 minutes with that guy and he would wish that he had never even heard of us. I am real big against animal cruelty. When we first got our dog, he was a rescue so he was already afraid of people and now I really hate to think how this could effect his look on them.

Saturday night, Jenny and I were working on her fictional CD dover for her fictional band, and then I got an idea. How cool would it be to make graphic designs for people? Very! So school has started back up and I'm starting to get more and more time to be able to either take pictures or make photo manipulations. I am absoluetly loving school. [omg no way, right?] But it is still school and I dread waking up at 5:30 every morning. So my work is probably going to slow down major [not like I've been that active] due to school starting up again. But I will definitely try to get something [photography or manip.] up at least once ever week or two.
