I'm going on art hiatus. Permanent? Possibly. I haven't enjoyed drawing in a long time and it takes a lot of effort just to get me to try to start drawing at all anymore. It's been months since I've really been able to do anything.

My problem with Tumblr is that it's basically just another Facebook or Twitter account. Constant streams of things I give no fucks for coming in and completely bury any original content I care about (which rarely exists).

All Tumblr seems to be is endless reblogging of Homestuck, ponies, animal pictures and people who think reblogging a picture with a message somehow changes the world ("Reblog to stop Kony!" or whatever).

Animation work: I've barely got anything done on the animation, truthfully. It's fully scripted, mostly storyboarded and some of the animation is started, but I can't do anything more than I have right now. A bunch of examinations and what-not told me what I already knew. Bulging disc, etc etc. This time I got to hear it from a doctor who WASN'T an incompetent tool though, so there's that. They also prescribed me a new plan of treatment.

CYBORGIZATION.

I mean physical therapy. And pool therapy and physical medicine. A long story short, I'm probably stuck this way forever. But they're hoping some therapy will shrink the disc until it fits properly. They also told me surgery would do a lot more damage to me than it would help.

I have some reasons, but they mostly suck.

The big one is that it's taken me entirely too long to work on my audition. I've had plenty of time and just put it off way too much. The deadline is next week and I'm maybe halfway done with the audition.

If I was dedicated enough to it I'd be able to finish it in time, but there's a few problems...

First and foremost, there's school. Still got a lot of essays and then Finals, and frankly I'm doing terribly in one of my classes right now. I need to hit the books.

I don't know how. By all means I am a horrible artist. Improving, but still filled with suck. But that's not what we're here to talk about.

What I'm here to talk about is the horrible crime that plagues my friends; that MORE OF YOU ARE WATCHING ME THAN ARE THEM. UNACCEPTABLE.
Or not, y'know. Various tastes and all that.

Firstly, I don't know if I'll be able to make the deadline. Between now and then I have about 14 essays due, and then Finals to study for.

Secondly, this next year is going to be hectic. I'm going to be working full-time (well, hopefully) so I can save up some money for my eventual school transfer (you guys remember that right?) and that'll eat a lot of my otherwise free time up.

Finally, I've been wanting to get back into animation, and unfortunately this tournament doesn't allow animated entries.
