So far, I've put up some photography, and I have alot more where that came from. My plan is to paint from some of those to get myself back in shape ^_^;; Digital media is great, but you get to used to undoing things... not possible with paints!!!

Anyways, that's what the plan is!! I also wanted to try out the new deviant prints, but so far I'm not much impressed with their system. Much easier just to offer personally...

Sorry about my long absence and general slow activity here on devart. Life has been pretty hectic, with getting married, graduated, buying a house, new job... etc. ^_^; so, hobbies sort of go on the back burner. Still, I have been starting to sketch again and really want to get back into painting (and I even have evenings and weekends now that I'm out of school!!!) So, I will be back... eventually ^_^;;

Also, sorry if I haven't kept up with deviations here... I will go through them and try to comment on them, but they have piled up so fast that it's kinda overwhelming! So, sorry if I haven't yet!! Keep updating; I love the inspiration I find here on devart.

not much happening my way. Just listening to OC remixes while getting over a cold. I have uploaded my WIP's in the scraps gallery (I like having a scraps gallery!) as space on my website is tight. I'm a bit early again but it's already 2005 in some places so HAPPY NEW YEAR to them now and just check back here to suit your respective time zones.

I will be spending my new years... watching a movie with the rents xD it's so sad, but thats what you gotta do when visiting the rents for christmas and into 2005. Last year has been a year of learning and many new experiences <3 and alot of growing up. Who knows what the next will bring! I hope that everyone else has a bright and happy year coming up! Things have been going really busy for me lately and thus the lack of art. As usual, I have started a lot of things that I doubt I'll finish, so I think I'll be using this "scraps" gallery that DA has started up....

so, if you want to view my new art, I bet most is going into scraps, because they're not finished... so change yur devwatch. I do have something special for someone that WILL be finished by christmas, but other than that... colouring is not my friend!! hm... maybe I should call my line art pieces "as good as it gets" considering...

Anyways, let's hope things get a bit more settled and I can start the art up again someday. ^_^;;;

Thanks to everyone who has come and visited my page. I'm surpised that anyone does, considering how I have to little time to do art any more... lol. Actually, I've done many sketches, but can never finish anything. BUT!! I promise to give whoever gets 10,000 a drawing even if it kills me. And it might. So don't all click too quickly now, ya hear?

One thing that really stood out in the movie was Harry’s acting. I was so impressed with what he did in this movie. It seemed like even in scenes that were set up poorly or generally lifeless, he gave a spark to them. The other ones that shone out to me were Ron and the twins. xD!! I just loved Ron’s convincing and humorous lines, even if they were rather reduced than in other movies. He’s just so good at acting clueless. As for the twins… omfg, they are so the Monkeys. lolol And I just love their talking in unison. One other upside was Dumbledore. I must say, I think I like the new actor a bit better… both portrayed him in different and really interesting ways, but… this one didn’t sound like he was always taking his last breath. ^_^;; definitely more active, and he handled all of his lines very well.

As for the downside, two actors that really disappointed me were Hermione and Lupin. In the first part of the movie Hermione held true to the character in the book, as seen in the first two movies, but in the end all I could see was little prep. “Is that what my hair really looks like from the back?” Yes, I’m sure the rational Hermione would through their mission into jeopardy to take a closer look at her hair. And really, her high pitched screaming gave me the WORST headache I have ever had. O_O; holy migraine. The second person that disappointed me was Lupin. What really put me off at first was his appearance, of course. Moustache… but even more than that, he was just so greasy that he reminded me of Snape. xD! I dunno, it was just totally off. Also, the way he acted was nothing special and, IMHO, didn’t at all capture Lupin’s character. He was just a worried guy. It’s like “Hi Harry, my name’s Lupin. Insert plot here ” Considering how rushed the whole movie was, I guess that’s the best he could go, in these circumstances. If given the opportunity for more of the MWPP plot, it might have been better.

An other thing I really liked was the animals and creatures in the movie, even though the computer animation wasn’t seamless. Buckbeak was really interesting, even if not completely what I had pictured. I really loved the first flight scene, even though it wasn’t true to the books. Also, I had really really downed hopes for Padfoot, so I was glad that he was fairly decent (if a bit small… Gary Oldman sized you could say.) One thing that really caught my attention was Moony, though. At first I didn’t like his design, but then I was really interested in how they made sure you could see the human features within the werewolf. Usually they are just portrayed as regular (or slightly more dangerous looking) wolves, so it was nice to see something different, with the longer limbs and no fur.

I also really like how they played with the time travel, weaving into how Harry and Hermione helped themselves in the past, more so than in the book. It was really interesting how they got it to all work… but I would have really liked to see Snape getting his head hit on the tunnel walls when coming back from the shrieking shack. Overall, I didn’t like how they handled the “climax” just because of the speed and lack of plot development (though it wasn’t as horrible as Ginny in the last one… gah!). The feelings between Sirius, Harry, Lupin, and Peter, given the gravity of the situation, just didn’t do it justice. And that scene really revealed the one (small) complaint I had about Sirius… Lupin had to practically get on his knees to hug the little guy! Still…. xD!!!!!!!!!! They were bickering like a married couple!!!! OMFG, that made my movie. That, and the tap dancing spiders (that part was just wonderful, including foreshadowing too!)

Anyways, overall I was happy, which isn’t surprising because I wasn’t expecting much satisfaction from this movie. Still, I think it’s the best one so far. The first had better plot development (which was really necessary for a beginning…) but I just liked the overall mood of this one. Maybe because of the change of director? Still, this was a good movie and I’m planning on watching it again (after I get Chetan to watch the first two… don’t want to confuse the poor boy too much).

Oruha and Clover

This was started on St. Pattie's day, and the theory was that she was going to be COMPLETELY ATTACKED BY CLOVER. So... I never got around to actually drawing the clover. But I did to the OMFG HER HAIR IS INSANE thing. I actually had trouble keeping her hair all the same style because I've drawn it so many ways... I think I'll eventually add clover in. I was going to be lazy and just photoshop it in, but I have no confidence in my photoshop skills. ;o; Does anyone want to colour my art for me!?!?! Please?!?!

Next in line: I liked someone's hair, thus I drew it.

Yay clips and pearls

ur... so, the drapery will actually have a pattern of this cloth that my rents brought back from Thailand. I don't like how I drew it. I used to be good at drapery. at least I can still do insane hair. Will look much better when coloured, when ever that happens. Now, I have something crucial to decide: Should her arm go forward or back? Back means we get some... cleavage. I didn't want to draw that during class because engineers aren't used to seeing these things (except the guy sitting in front of me had a pornish desktop on his notebook X_X) Thoughts?

And last, but not least: Jenna has freaky designs!

Jester and Mask

... I... don't... know. ::gets doused by green slime:: err, I started drawing this mask on the side of my page, and I kinda liked the design... and the internship meeting was boring, so here she be! Originally drawing in tights >.< I'm starting to add other clothing. HELP! O_O; What should I do!! Once again, I hate the folds. Other areas I want advice: The clasp at her neck and waist... look stupid. I need better designs. Advice? Also, I was trying to make her look like she actually has muscle, which is hard for me to do because my model is scrawny. ;o; I need meat... Any thoughts? (KC, I know you do muscle well...). And, what the hell should her hands be doing!? Was going to make the top one holding a flame or something (yay, let's set my hair on fire) and the bottom one... holding cloth that isn't there... so... I don't know. (Also, that thing off her ear is going to be big feathers... incase you were wondering.)

Michelle was reading my Alice in Wonderland... which meant that I had not only inspiration but also reference pictures in class! So... I want this pic to be incredibly involved and completely cged eventually... dark, mysterious, and full of toys from wonderland. And a large jabberwocky, of course. He's going to have transparent wings eventually. So... advice... Please give me ideas for the BG!!! they're going to be on a chessboard with clams/dice/rabbits/queens/cats/moss/mush rooms around... so... anymore ideas?

Next in my gypsy series. I'm going to have her hair and dress turing into clouds! But, I have to think up a dress to put her in first (no, I'm not leaving her naked). I was thinking of frills, but does anyone have some ideas/reference pics? I was thinking of doing it a cultural type dress, but I have no idea which culture would be suiting it!

Surprise, more oruha. At first I was going to make this one simple but... heat transfer was slow. so. I think I'll have fun CGing this one. Things to think about: under her corset, I was thinking of having a little frill of cloth because it would seem uncomfortable... and I wouldn't want her to be uncomfortable... but it also may be less sexy. Should I keep or get rid of it? Also, for the wings I was thinking of having them kinda torn and decaying or something... not just the generic pretty. Thoughts?

uh... not a work in progress! This was done around halloween time. I wanted to do something different and festive... and came up with the concept of a girl with see through and sagging off sking. so... I didn't really get that, but you can kinda see her bones through it. Anyways, this is just a weird sketch!
