The day of NYC final is approaching. 4 days left, most of the equipment preparations are done. The biggest thing is the theme of this year's final.(for some sake, i can't put the theme here) This year CutandPaste works with Converse, all motion graphic designers will have to choose 3 or 5 factors from three items given by the Converse, this limitation does make the Juryman's job easier, but challenging for the contestants. I love it, coming up with crazy ideas with a couple of days, and bring your idea to NYC( only four material files allowed to take to the contest, file must be still image, PSD, AI is allowed).

Just regardless about the result, fully make myself into the contest, meeting and knowing great designers from all over the world is the real purpose!

God bless China, God bless America, my beloved girlfriend Vicky, and me!

To know more about CutandPaste Digital Design Tournament please visit [link]

5/23, 2009 will be tagged in my heart as one of the most unforgettable moments of my life. I got the Grand Prize Winner of 2009 Digital Design Tournament's motion design group in Shanghai.
The game's goal is to dig out those hidden designers. Every contestant was given a certain theme of their design on the spot. So the contest was an on-site one.
For Motion Design, the theme was given 3 days before the contest day. But time was quite tight. My material was limited too. Every motion design contestant was given 8 hours to work on a 15-second motion graphic clip individually, with 300 audiences around you, man, that was crazy, high preasure........ but meaningful.

I was invited to go to NewYork for the final contest on Oct 16th, gonna fight with totally 48 guys from 16 countries.... that is huge, ha? Anyways, I am ready for the battle!

Thank very much for Nabil Sebat, for his script revise and voice-over. Thank french friends "Waiting period" for letting me use their music, although they are not professional rock band, but their music rocks. I m gonna make another crazy MTV for their new music too.

To view my award-winning motion design from [link]
To know more about CutandPaste Internation Digital Design Tournament from [link]

2008 is not a lucky year for my country-China anymore. unhappy news follows one by one just like a lined army. Snowstorm, Tibet unrest, SiChuan Earthquake, heavy flood in three provinces. Until now the four makes almost very Chinese people down more or less.
Here I wanna say especially the SiChuan earthquake is a rare human calamity, nearly 70000 casualties. When big disaster came to the world, it showed who really cared this country. Fortunately I saw almost all Chinese people donated money, many donated their blood... It gave me the sense that" though China is relatively poorer than the developed countries, but we are extremely solid."
Also i wanna give the special thanks countries like Japan(they'd sent a resuce team),The United Arab Emirates, Germany, Malaysia... they've contributed alot to the people of disaster areas. It doesn't mean other countries are doing so so...
Herein, a song called" We are the world" tells all the feelings I have now, Thanks people, thanks the world.
"There comes a time, when we heed a certain call...we are the world, we are the children, we are the ones make a brighter day, so let's start giving....!"
