I am living amongst the last days of my home in West Virginia. It is true that I will miss this place; the C&O Canal, the Shenandoah River, the Appalachian Mountains, the hidden country roads, the heritage festivals, and the cow pastures plotted every quarter-mile.

Despite common thought of West Virginia, I have come to love this place, and even though I am not a patriotic man toward one plot of land, I will always look back on it as my first home, my first relationship with earth's nature; the organics which nurtured my being. Cabins are plotted at high altitudes upon the mountains of West Virginia, so one may overlook its own grass.

Soon, I will gather the material objects I hold most dearly, and put them in the bed of a pick-up truck, and haul them to Massachusetts, New England, and start a new life. I'd like to dedicate myself to writing, where my first pursuit will be to complete a book and continue my love for poetry and fly fishing.

---

With that said, if you would be so kind enough to share with me, I would love to hear about your home. Tell me what makes your home intimate to you, be it its weather cycles, season cycles, landscape, or simply the fact that you are a mere 3 minute walk to the coffee shop, your honesty will do.

about a year ago, a friend of mine brought me back a gift from his trip to california. it is a scroll that reads:

Every day, think as you wake up,
Today I am fortunate to have woken up,
I am alive.
I have a precious human life,
I am not going to waste it,
I am going to use
all my energies to develop myself,
to expand my heart out to others,
To achieve enlightenment for the
benefit of all beings, I am going to have
kind thoughts towards others,
I am going to benefit others
as much as I can."

-His Holiness the XIVth Dalia Lama

A year and three trips later, he is in california today, and each time i read the scroll hes given to me out of kindness, the words never fail to inspire me.

Today, i have returned to the deviant art community, ive always believed in this community and think it is a wonderful place to share and create, i will probably run into old artists i knew from before, who knew me under a different handle, but this is my new one, A fresh beggining! fresh begginings are very neccesary, i think that is why God made us have to shave all the time! because even though it sucks ass to do it, doenst it feel great when you finally do, its like taking a shower, or drinking tea,

i really think that God made grass green for a damn good reason, for you non psych people out there, green is the color that induces deep thinking, deep thinking personality types favorite color is almost always green,

grass has to be mowed once a week, and where i live it takes like 2 to 3 hours to cut it, i think God wanted us to sit there on a stupid tractor, driving around in circles for hours on end, staring at this deep green color, to think about what the hell we are doing with out lives, thats probably why the world is so green, so people will use their stupid brains,

anyway, i have a livejournal account, and every so often i try and say something interesting or meaningful so if you ever feel like it, maybe we can have a conversation sometime, i love conversations, they are so unpredictable, probably the most unpredictable thing there is, beside my college grades
