I haven't written a journal like this here in MONTHS. Isn't it nice to see it again? =^__^= I've missed you all soooo much!

As I think I've mentioned before, I have my own little apartment now, so there's no one to come looking over my shoulder. My Muses are coming back a little at a time, so the writing's starting to get better. That's a plus.

I've got my own apartment now, and aside from the fact that I gotta get it in gear and get everything organized, I think I'm enjoying the solitude and the peace and quiet. Once I get settled nice and pretty, I can buckle down on getting some real writing done without fear of my parents looking over my shoulder. GAH! Imagine answering THOSE questions when you're 25 years old!

Anywho... here's a series status update::

"Beautiful Black Widow" :: As the winner of the vote, this one got as much of my "priority" time as I could give it. It is completed up to the start of Chapter 5.

"Survival Instincts" :: I was a tad farther along in this one already, but it didn't get a lot of attention. Completed up to about half-way through Chapter 6.

"Bitter Tempest" :: This is the fiction that was requested of me on my archive. =^__^= Set to be only 5 chapters long (requesters limit), it is completed up to the start of Chapter 3. I'll put Chapter 1 up as soon as I can.

The Secret Series :: Coming along nicely.

There's also a number of oneshots in the works, plus the constant badgering from my best friend to complete the Miyavi/Ruki "What if...?" trilogy. Not sure if I can bring myself to do it, but I'll try. >___<

For now, though, I've got unpacking and organizing to complete, and only tomorrow to really focus on it before the monthly inspection by the landlady on the 22nd. x__x I'll be at work that day. BLARGH!

Oh, and my birthday is tomorrow (9/17). I'll be 25 fucking years old... and he STILL treats me like a useless child.

I feel some angst coming on...

I WILL be working on the series I've got started, "BBW" mostly, and the rewrite of "PYHO" while I'm away. So there's that to look forward to, right?

All I ask is that you leave me some wonderful love while I'm away.

Please? My access will be sketchy at best until I've gotten a job, a place to live, and the money to afford net connection, and it would be totally awesome to come back to words of encouragement and love.

Then again...

I'll be around when I can.

Since "To Love a Rock Star" is finally finished, I need to settle down and work on another series. The thing is, I have FIVE that I've started.

Of those, one is on hold because my KyoMuse has told me he wants it to be left alone ("A Matter of Names"). So yah, that one's on hiatus. Another is on hold pending a complete rewrite ("Play Your Heart Out") so that it flows a little better and I can patch the MASSIVE plot holes I've put in it. >__< That leaves three, but one of those is a multi-chapter request that I'm entitled to work on.

So, here's where you come in.

Help me choose which series to focus on!!!

Been a while, huh? So much has changed since the last time I posted. Between finding a boyfriend in a good friend of six years, preparing to move, and fighting my Muses tooth and nail to get any writing done, I've been trying to eat, sleep and breathe.

My job has left me with less than 10 hours of work a week, so I've got tons of free time. So... time to get the Whalloping Stick out and whip my Muses. Ha ha. :evil:

Sad tidings, Readers.

As happens from time to time in the life of a writer, the Muses and the drive have vanished. *hangs head in shame* I've been sick since my return from my vacation in January, and although I seem to be on the up-and-up finally, I have yet to have the energy to do much. As you can tell by my horrid lack of posting, my Muses have stopped shelling out the ideas. I've ceased to threaten them, as they only point and giggle at me anymore. *sigh* My mind is devoured of late by stress, anxiety, exhaustion, Final Fantasy VII, and the book that I'm co-authoring with a friend of mine. That on top of my job, which isn't the best, I've begun to fall into the pit of my depression once more.

I guess I should get to the point of this rambling. Starting today, I'm going on a semi-hiatus. This doesn't mean I'm quitting altogether. It just means that I won't be making the valiant effort to get anything done. It also means that my contest is going into hibernation until I can write again. I refuse to force my work because that only leads to shoddy, low-rate writings. I won't do that to you. You've been too good to me for that. So, until I get my head back on straight, I'm going to slow down.

I do still open up my series' from time to time, and I do still write a little. But progress has slowed so much that I haven't gotten anywhere in months. Maybe it'll come back to me, and we'll see the posting again. Let's hope so.

I love you all, my Readers. I'll check in from time-to-time, I promise. Just let me know you care, ne?

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back. >__< I returned from Louisiana and promptly fell ill. I found out yesterday that I have a sinus infection (nothing new) and strep throat. x___x I haven't had that in YEARS and I was told when my tonsils were removed when I was in the 5th grade that I shouldn't get it anymore. *sigh* Oh well. So I'm on antibiotics and such for 10 days, and hopefully it'll clear up and go away.

Therefor... nothing's been done. T-T Brain being fuddled with sick makes for hard time writing. But things will be completed! I worked on "To Love a Rock Star" yesterday! YAE!

Not much else to say. I've poked at ALL of my writings lately, made a little headway in one or two of them. It's sad that I'm ending "To Love a Rock Star" soon.

Feels like I'm letting a child leave home or something. >__< I'm weird. X3

So yes, dA caught on to me and I was on a two week suspension because of the Gackt/Hyde fic "Reality Check," WHICH they so kindly removed for me. >_< But I'm back now and I've taken measures to ensure that it won't happen again.

I know "Jack in the Box 2007" was fairly new, but it was better safe than sorry. But if you scroll down through this journal, you'll find the link to my archive tucked neatly away, and you can find it there under the CROSS OVER tab.

Some changes will be made to my account here. In an attempt to keep myself, and all of my readers, out of trouble, if there's a chapter in a series that is... *cough* ...questionable, I won't be posting it here. My computer was literally taken over by a flock of Trojan viruses. >__< Most of them died quickly and quietly in virus scan/spyware sweeps, but one of them... it just hung on. I took my poor little eMachine to a techie friend, and even with a fake harddrive in my RAM, it still didn't budge.

Best case scenario: Get rid of Virus, go home happy.
Worst case scenario: Complete system back-up and restore.
Action taken: Complete system back-up and restore.

I spent half an hour backing up what I could, so all of my digital art and writings and music were saved. Everything else... gone. I'm starting from scratch, and only a day before I lose my internet connection. Since I'm taking down my computer and moving it to our new house where we've yet to hook cable up. So, I've made mad scrambles to download the things I lost (Yahoo!, AIM, RealPlayer, etc). Now, to start the tedious task of resetting iTunes. >___< *FLAIL*

The worst of the worst:

I lost Photoshop 7. :scream: The copy I had to start with wasn't... mine, per say, so there was no way I could save it, not without the numbers it needed. BUTTTT! The techie friend of mine got me a copy of Elements 6.0 to replace it.

Since 7 is so outdated and old and it glitched on me from time to time, he asked if there was a different program of interest. =^___^= I just have to learn how to use it now, since it's all I have. XD

Needless to say, I'm going away, there will be no updates to ANY of my accounts for an undetermined amount of time, and I'll see what I can have to show off when I get back.

Just a heads up::
At the end of next week or the beginning of the week following, I will be losing the internet for an undetermined length of time. My roommate and I are moving, and we're going to make the call on August 30 to get the cable moved from this address to the new one. So we can keep the same package and modem and such. Operation: Emi Watch ... Conclusion

Scott Collin was born May 6, 2008, at 3:19 a.m. EST. He weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce, and was 20-22 inches long. Even though he was technically 3 weeks early, he spent no time in the NICU, much to the relief of family and friends. The only complication he had was yesterday, May 7, when his system went jaundice and he had to have special treatment in the nursery. Aside from that, Scott is proving himself to be a strong willed little boy who'll have his way or nothing at all.

Mother and son were cleared and released May 8, 2008, and both are now resting comfortably at home.

Thank you so very much to each and every one of you who helped us pray for Emi and Scott this past month or so. I know God heard us and touched this growing family.

Now, the only thing left to pray for is Emi's sanity when Catarina begins to get involved with baby brother. >__<

An update on Emi.

She finally got ahold of an OB who will LISTEN to her, and she's set to deliver on May 5. She has to wait that long so Medicaire will pay for it, but at this point, Emi's just happy that something's being done. She's in good spirits and lots of pain, but she's holding on. Scott now weighs over 6 pounds! He's a chunky bugger!

All seems to be well, but we're all keeping a close eye on her and the baby. I'll update more later.

This past week, Emi was hospitalized because of her asthma and the fact that she was in mild labor. This is the hospital that, up until now, has handled her pregnancy rather well. They pumped her full of steroids to open her air passages, did nebulizer treatments like they should, and everything. Then, all of the sudden, they stopped giving them every two hours and moved it to every four. EMI CAN'T BREATHE! They did a blood oxygen test right after a neb treatment and told her she was fine, that she was having Braxton Hicks Contractions. [link]

Last night (4/16), they released her to go home. Emi found out today (4/17) that Medicaire has her files red-taped to the point that she can't go anywhere BUT the hospital that literally threw her out. Her family can't afford another hospital. At this point, Emi's and Scott's lives are both in danger, because technically, Emi is in labor, mild though it may be. Emi's outlook is bleak. She fears that one or both of them will not survive this ordeal. Her health is declining with every passing day that she can't breathe properly. The fluid surrounding Scott has been low for a few weeks now, which will only compound the problems he's facing.

I know this is a long post, and I do apologize. It's taken me most of half an hour to be able to do it because I'm so stressed and scared I can't see straight. I love Emi very, very much, and I don't want anything to happen to her. My roommate, Lyn, is upstairs, hopefully asleep, but she was in a righteous rage when she left the living room an hour and a half ago. Emi's mother is terrified now, more than she's ever been. We're all very lost right now, and any help and prayers and good thoughts for Emi and Scott are as greatly appreciated as water in the desert.

This does not mean that I'll never post again. It just means that it's my final week (ever) of college (until grad school) and then I don't know where I'll end up, how I'll get there, or when I'll leave. I just know that I'll more than likely be without net access for a while, most likely a few weeks, starting this coming Saturday (12/8).

As and when I can, I promise that I'll continue work on all of my One Shots and my series. But I expect a lot of angst and depression coming from having to move and settle myself in a new place and learning to be (completely) independent. And perhaps I'll be able to set to work on Play Your Heart Out again. One never knows, right?

I do thank those of you who have taken the time to read these few works over the time that I've posted them. It means a lot to me, especially those of you who have left me such encouraging and wonderful feedback. I won't let you down, I promise.
