I'm sorry, my time on dA, and actually, my time online, period, has sort of been scanty (heehee scanty) and there's tons I'm behind on.

I'll just say the last semester was tough, home life hasn't been a piece of cake, depression is a clever, clever beast, anxiety as terrible as ever, I've dropped out of classes to save my grade for the first time, and there's just a lot that I'm not proud of that went down.

I'm on break now, and along with clawing my way out of the familiar depression pit I'm clawing my way out of an art block. (With the way depression works, it's hard to have one without the other.)

My computer was custom-built by my father as a gift to me last Christmas. Megaweapon has been a GREAT computer to me, seriously, but recently I've had problems with my graphics card crashing. It usually crashes when I use Photoshop, and brings the program down with it and any work I did after my last save, and while I maaaaaaaay be able to keep the other programs up for a bit, the performance becomes so sluggish that I end up rebooting either way.

It DOES make some things RIDICULOUSLY EASY for me. I won't lie, sometimes getting all the info you need for commissions is like pulling teeth, but if you're like me (and I know I am), you're just always afraid YOU'RE the annoying one asking all the questions. That's clinical paranoia for ya!

I had my scanner since 2003 or the beginning of 2004. It has always been a very good scanner, and unlike most scanners made today for retail sale, it is ever-so-slightly bigger than 8.5" x 11" (legal document paper size) with it's scanning area. It's actually something like 8.5"x 11.5" or something like that. For what I do, good.

Toasteh! Okay, I'm picking these because these are things I WISH I can do. Abstract paintings are so hard to get right, it's so easy for it to look just like...mush. Jumbly junk. Baiscally, the audience can tell you were just spewing out random crap. That's what my attempts look like. That or I just can't do anything at all. This on the other hand, is very well painted and lovely. The second one must be so much better in person- I love the colours! Crazy stuff.

WHY is it that when I do a quick little speedpainting, it gets more favourites and comments than 95% of my gallery, while on the other hand, when I put in a little more effort to make something I LIKE, it gets little to no activity on the comments/faves scene? Not that it should matter, but the things that my DeviantArt watches like to fave me for is driving me to INSANITARY.
