Yeah. University is being pretty alright right about now. I have the schedule from hell (though I'm sure other people have it worse), and in all honesty U of T's facilities are old, concrete, and are about as awe-inspiring as a tire in the city dump... but the rest of everything else is nice! I seem to have lucked out with my professors, more or less; most of them are nice/understandable (except for this one guy subbing for my Calc prof who speaks in the most incomprehensible European accent that has ever met my ears). Tutoring companies are running around like mad right now, trying to sucker us in, but honestly who are they kidding? The professors THEMSELVES told me to stay the fuck away, so I plan to do so. That, and one of the math tutors' supposed 'Holy Grail' of study guides was nothing more than a Kinkos'd stack of papers that were written, for the most part, in some sort of glyphic dialect of English that I could not read at all, PLUS it only covered differential calculus (you know, the stuff I did with Will over the summer?). Yeah, super lame. They throw around scare tactics shamelessly, too. Seriously, they need to get jobs.

Also, I gots mah new laptop today. It's super-smooth, and it has this pressure-sensitive button so that if you just TAP it, it ejects the disc. I've never felt so slick. Just... bip, and it slides right out! Aw, man. Soon, it'll start TALKING to me in some deranged, disjointed female voice professing her enthusiasm for my success and subsequent death.

Yeah. In other news, I seem to have lost the capacity to do anything artistic, period, at all at ALL, up to and INCLUDING writing (which makes me cry bile in sadness), so don't expect to see stuff on here soon. I have a suspicion that, in the basement of the Lash Miller Chem Labs, there's an evil black mage casting an AoE spell that stifles the ability for Life-Sci students to create anything other than new permutations of organic molecules. Evil shit. WELL, I have Holy and Firaga, so we'll see who's laughing when he feels my FIERY PURGATION. >

And yeah, Environment & Toxicology is looking increasingly appealing to me, just so ya know (it's, lyk, SOOOOOoooOOOOOooooOOO marketable! =^_^= ).

SO: goings-on!

I'm volunteering this week, and the week after, at the Science Centre. They have a camp there, see, OSCamp (Ontario Science Centre, they're so funny), and I'm being basically a CIT there. It's probably going to be a good experience at least, just infinitely aggravating. They have so many rules... X.X Especially the no-touch policy (which I totally understand, but srsly, what's society coming to?). I hope I get lumped together with the little kids... because the 13 and 14-year olds I know from experience seem to think that because we (the volunteers) are about one or two years older, or younger in some cases, they can mouth off to us. Ugh. That, and it's much easier to get along with little kids. I'm good with kids.

OMG BABY. Yeah, so Hanna gave birth, to all who don't know. The baby's name is Benjamin Arya Abergel (soft 'g', and I'm his uncle. He's really. Really. Really times a BILLION cute. Gigantic friggin' cheeks, the tiniest mouth in all EXISTENCE, and a tendency to sleep for ever and ever and ever. I know he's a baby, but it's funny when you compare him to Hillel (daddy), who ALSO sleeps for years and eons. I took him for a walk today. He slept through it. I remembered a 'For Better or For Worse' that I read a while ago, where Elizabeth takes baby April out for her first walk, and thought "Life is so much more magical when you're with someone who's seeing it for the first time." Yeah, if Ben would open his damn EYES, maybe THEN I'd be elated! God.

I'm also going to B.C., for the last time (again), some time near the end of July. Huh. Go figure, but it's just for two weeks. Then my crazy aunt gets to come and smother me in kisses, and steal my basement.

Hairspray movie coming out! All who hate Zac Efron, unite. But it has Queen Latifah, who has MASTERED the art of being a big black woman, so its all good. No worries. That, and Nikki Blonsky's enthusiasm scares me. She's ACTUALLY Tracy Turnblad, but 40 years in the future.

Act I, Scene ii: Baron and three Hotboxers (sleazy dancers) went on-stage during a two-character scene, and parroted the leads' actions. The problem is, the leads are supposed to kiss, and there were two girls parroting each lead. This lead to some very amusing glances from Kevin Vidal.
Act I, Scene iii: The only one I participated in. For whatever reason, Lee couldn't sing her lines in 'Bushel and a Peck'. So, to help her, the entire cast and crew jumped on stage. There was a line of thirtysomething people singing along to Bushel and a Peck with her. It was EPIC, and possibly the funniest thing that ever happened, ever.
Act I, Scene iv: Scottie (tiny grade 9) and Tahlo hid behind the screen in Adelaide's dressing room, so when Lee (Adelaide) walked behind it, they scared the crap out of her. Then, after she changed out of her Hotboxer outfit, Scottie put it on, and put on a drag show.
Act I, Scene v: For Guys and Dolls, the title song, it was basically turned into a Rocky Horror show by Paz and the people in lights.

Then Flora got mad.

Also, I'm dumb for not participating in the Day of Silence. Painfully dumb.

EDIT: Now that my parents are not bothering me AT THE MOMENT to do my homework, I can type this journal in more detail.

To expand on the first little bit, Katie has requested of me to draw her Pogo-Stick Girl (PSG... sounds like MSG... anyway), which I gladly accepted.

Why did I accept her request arbitrarily, when Christian obtusely proferred upon me screenshots of both MY 1000 pageview mark AND his? It's because he is petty. He (somehow) generated 250 pageviews. In a single. Frickin. Day. That single frickin day was the one where I informed him that yes, in all likelihood, I would reach 1000 pageviews first. (It's interesting to note that he got the screenshot of his 1000 pageview mark... that's a little curious, isn't it? It's almost as if he tripped the mark himself!) Thus, he is petty. If anyone protests, including Helena, they will be banned. But given the fact that nobody gives a rat's ass, my block list will cheerfully only be restricted to one.

Oh, yes, and I've essentially sworn off colouring stuff. I'm a penciller, I suppose, and I will always despise the tediousity of colouring. I know people would be like "Ew, you're so unprofessional.", but then, they haven't experienced having their intimate parts eviscerated with a straw yet. I'll try and colour shit once I get a tablet (A PROPER tablet), cos' as you have seen, my pencil drawings are lazily messy.

Also, by no means are you allowed to pressure me to hurry up with writing and posting stuff. I won't be posting them in any given time intervals, and I also have some personal issues to work about before I start posting the actual chapters.

LUCK-ily, my schedule is very well put together. I'm probably NOT transferring out of anything this year, so I can stop dishing grief at Ms. Liko. I also have 6 classes with anybody I know in it. I have been working on three drawing for the past while, and finally the notion of scanning them has NOT been lost into the black depths of my memory (My memory is sorta like lending money to a friend. You're never sure you're gonna see it again. Hint, hint). Also, thank you for telling me about a shiny way to make the sketchyness of my drawing disappear. Additionally, I didn't use it right, and I got rid of a lot of intentional shading that way, but that doesn't matter, now does it?

Finally, as you might notice, I sorta got into the habit of drawing a siggy of sorts onto my piccus. Simply put, kagami-gakure means 'hiding in [a] mirror', thus the little guy waving inside the mirror. No real attempt to hide, but meh.

It's time to try defying gravity!
