Well. Okay. I really just am posting this because I've had the same journal post up for ages, and it ceased to be relevant in any way looong ago. When I look back at summer and early autumn, they simultaneously seem like they were just yesterday, and also eons ago. Possibly false memories or part of someone else's life. I've become too self-conscious to write, but I'm trying to regain my bearings. I miss word-crafting. I miss the writer's high I'd get when I found a beautiful phrase or a metaphor. I don't understand why it's so frightening to write. Drawing is easy, getting it wrong is no loss. You just keep trying. But when I try writing, every word takes on a weight that's hard to bear, and I worry about failure. It's become so important to me that I can't do it because I feel I'll muck it up.

I just wanted to say that I don't mind if people take my fanart and use it in fan videos or for other fan projects, as long as it is unaltered. I'm totally, 100% cool with that... in fact it will make me happy. However, taking it and using it directly for any form of profit (ie, printing it on a shirt, selling it at conventions) is a big no-no. The boy and I got in a car accident a few hours before New Year's Day on our way to New York State. No one got hurt, but the car is totaled. I've gradually gotten over being shaken by the whole thing, but I was a bit distracted by that for a couple of days.

Fortunately I got to see my family in New York State. It was a good visit. Lots of snow and catching up on people.

It was an excellent holiday season & vacation for me. I flew to the east coast and visited friends & family in the Boston area as well as in upstate New York. I also got to see my best friend while she was home from Japan, and the two of us resolved to work on a FFVII-based webcomic together after the New Year. Dun dun dun. Be afraid, be very afraid.

I got to work on a handful of messy drawings, some paintings, and a bunch of custom ponies. Hopefully some of these will be loaded in the next week or so.

My cousin's wife just had a baby today, a sweet little November girl, and I am sooo happy for them.
