My dad asked if I saw anything I liked or wanted to read. I saw: Lolita, East of Eden, My Sister's Keeper, The Last Lecture; all of which I plan to read in the near future. But I was content with Achebe. We sat down and waited for my mom and it donned on me. I have 2 weeks left in Japan and not another English book to read. So I asked him if we could go back and I picked Lolita. YAY! I've wanted to read this for about a year so will probably start tonight. And the best part is, he bought it for me as a gift! I was so happy. Hehehe. Whoa this is a looong journal so I better rap it up. I'll post pics of Japan when I get to America because I am simply to busy to upload them all, think of names, and write captions. So until then, Mata Atode!

I shan't count the ways, but if we are basing how it is has been so far, and not anticipating anything; junior year isn't that bad. It is not too rigorous yet, and the work is not hard. (except chem tests) I don't know, my naivety may be my ultimate downfall, but perhaps being a cynic is worse. Paradise Lost is amazing and amazingly difficult, and I learned today we read it in senior year; oh well, i guess ill have the advantage. ~smile~. Talk to all later.

Controversy is one of life's true pleasures. It allows humans to release the innate ability to debate and fight. It feeds the ever-hungry fire buried within the depths of our soul, and gives us sweet deliverance when we succeed. Although anyone will deny it, the enchanting feeling of crushing ones opponent is always gratifying.
